Two Cardcaptors

Having two cardcaptors was more efficient than having one. Kero did have to admit that – but it would only work if Sakura won rights to all of them in the end. If Li Syaoran took the cards she held from her, or Yue selected him over her, then…

Maybe that was what Clow Reed intended to happen, but Kero did not believe that. If it had been the case, Sakura shouldn't have been able to open the book of Clow at all. But she had. Whether Li Syaoran could open it or not became irrelevant –

But Kero was sure he couldn't. His mastery of the Time card was flimsy, static. The true master should have been able to control it indefinitely. Though that was just an assumption on his part.

But he'd chosen Sakura, if all those other whimsical reasonings fell. She'd proven herself to him. Li Syaoran had not – and Kero had given him every chance, watching every capture he could.

Sakura was the Chosen one, in Kero's eyes. And Li Syaoran was just a means to speed up the process of collecting all those Clow Cards. She would be their Master either way. He hoped.
