Hello everyone. For those who aren't aware, I have re-uploaded this chapter. Pretty much half of the content you will see here will be much different than the original draft. I also want to mention that I have revised the last five chapters as well, although there aren't that many changes.
This is all done to celebrate the release of "Frozen 2" and my plans to release a full-length musical sequel to this story.
Anyway, here's the next chapter!
Final Chapter: Memories and Family
Jarek's POV
When I first saw her, it was like... like...
It felt like it was almost a dream.
And... it also felt.. confusing.
It's very, very, very, hard to explain on why I felt this was.
Despite that though, I never forgotten about that night...
...and, deep down, I just had that feeling, that Elsa never forgotten about that night either.
Ten hours later...
Ever since last night, Jarek felt utterly confused about the events. About Elsa. It almost felt like he never saw it coming. The isolated princess, outside of her room, alone, in the middle of the night. It also raised more questions in Jarek's head. Why would Elsa come out at that time? What was she doing? And how didn't anyone, except him, notice her there?
True; he never thought about her doing this in the first place, but still it felt all too new for him.
However, the one thing that completely stupefied Jarek was that Elsa wanted to see him again. Tonight.
Why? Why would she suddenly go her way into asking me to see her again? It's feels so different than when we first talked together yesterday afternoon... Would Elsa even remember this? Jarek thought.
Jarek was a bit concerned about her actions, and he understood that, as well. But he still felt a little strange about Elsa outside of her room late last night. It just didn't add up.
Maybe I'll find some answers tonight, Jarek thought.
"Um, Jarek?"
Jarek broke out of his thoughts and looked at Anna, finally noticing her worried expression. "Are you okay?" she said again.
Jarek was silent for a moment, before he answered, "Yah, I'm fine. Just a little worried; that's all."
"About what?"
"It's nothing important. I'm okay, though," Jarek lied.
Right now, he and Anna were in the living room of the castle, playing Chess.
Anna could see the look in Jarek's eyes. She had first noticed the look on his face ever since they first saw each other today. She didn't ask about it until now. She knew something was wrong. But, she now realized it wasn't the best time to ask that question. So for now, Anna decided to let it slide. "Okay," she said with a meekly smile.
Jarek lean back in his chair, and continue with their game.
Not until thirty minutes after, did a servant, named Gerda, came in. "Jarek?" she called out.
Jarek turn his gaze upon the servant. "Yes?" he asked.
"The King and Queen would like to see you," Gerda replied.
Jarek was little surprised, at first. So was Anna. Why would the King And Queen wanted to see him, at this time of the day? Did I do something wrong? he thought. Whatever it was, this would be the second time he would see the King and Queen; well technically this would be the third time he would see the King.
He then look at Anna and weakly smiles, "Will continue this when I get back."
Anna replied with another 'okay', before Jarek got out of his chair and followed Gerda to the throne room.
Meanwhile...
Elsa was in her room, as usual, sitting on the stool next to her window, focusing on the 'outside world' from the other side of the frame. Oh, she SO much wished to be out there. But she couldn't. Not with the gates closed and her powers.
But surprisingly, she didn't feel sad nor afraid. She felt calm. Not 'calm'. But Calm Calm.
For the first time in a long time, she didn't think about anything usual.
Not the night.
Not the isolation.
Not her powers.
Not even her sister.
None of those things.
Right now, she was thinking about Jarek.
About what he did, last night.
How his hand touch hers. This thought alone made Elsa blush a little.
She then thought about what she saw in him.
The face of understanding.
The cringing, painful look in his eyes.
Elsa felt curious. Why would he feel that way?
And lastly, she thought about what he said.
"See? I'm not hurting you, and you are not hurting me."
Elsa then look at her gloved hand. Her mind suddenly came across with him touching her hand again.
She didn't notice that she was blushing more.
"You're not going to hurt me."
Slowly, Elsa began to take off her glove, bit by bit.
Once her glove was pulled off, she continued staring at her now bare hand.
She then flexed her fingers.
Small, tiny sparks of ice magic came out. Still, she didn't feel afraid at all.
"Stay away from me."
Her other hand now appeared in front of her.
Her left hand touch her right hand and closed it.
"Elsa, calm down. I'm not going to hurt you."
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
"I'm not going to hurt you, too."
Jarek and Gerda had just entered the throne room. The King and Queen were there, sitting on their throne, waiting patiently. They didn't seem to notice him yet. Also nearby, there was a group of men, dressed in formalwear. Who are these guys? Jarek thought.
"Your majesties," Gerda spoken. King Agnarr and Queen Iduna look up and saw Jarek and Gerda coming in.
The King smiles at their appearance, "Thank you Gerda, for bringing him here. You may leave now."
As told, Gerda bowed and left.
Jarek watch her leave for a moment, before turning his head back toward the King and Queen. "You wish to see me, your majesties?" he asked.
"Yes, Jarek," Queen Iduna relplied. "As you already know, you were found by a group of fishermen a few days ago, correct?"
"Yes, Queen Iduna. I still remember King Agnarr telling me that. Why do you ask?"
"Well, the same people who found you are here right now. They're here to check up on you; to see how you are feeling," The Queen responded, waving her hand toward the group Jarek before them.
Jarek look at the group, again.
The fishermen look at him back.
These people saved my life? Jarek thought.
Suddenly, one of the men came up to him. "Hello Jarek," the man said.
"...Hello," Jarek hesitantly greeted back.
"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Harvel Peterson; captain of my crew. I see your holding up pretty nicely," the fisherman, now named Harvel, proclaimed.
Jarek weakly smiles, "Yes. Yes I am."
"Ay, you seem happy there, too. So, how is it living here in the castle of our great, peaceful kingdom?"
"To be honest, it's amazing." It really is, he immediately thought after.
There was then a moment of silence between the two.
.
.
.
Unitl, Jarek respond, "Look,... I just wanna say.. Thank you, for everything. If you and your crew weren't there, I wouldn't be here right now."
"Oh...," Harvel smiled, "It was nothing, lad."
"No, really. Your crew saved my life. You all deserve my gratitude... Well, it was nice meeting you in person," Jarek laid out his hand.
Harvel look at it for a moment, before returning the gesture. He then said, smiling, "You too, Jarek. You too. I hope we meet again someday."
In response, Jarek smiled back.
Nine more hours later...
It was now almost bedtime, and Jarek was back in his room.
After he got back from meeting the people who rescued him, he told Anna about them.
She was very happy to hear the news from him. Overtime, she mentally thank the fishermen, even though she didn't saw them in person. But still, she just couldn't get enough of it. Quickly, Jarek found out why. If those fishermen didn't found him, that would mean Anna would be lonely for the rest of her childhood. He was now even more glad that they found him.
A few minutes ago, Jarek wished Anna goodnight, with an addition of a warm hug.
Now he was staring out of the window; over the lit kingdom.
In a few hours, he would meet Elsa again.
With the thoughts of meeting the princess in his head, he wandered back to the events of last night.
Of what he did do and what he didn't do. Overall, he wished he could've done more, but when he remembered seeing the look on Elsa's face after he calmed her down, Jarek could only agree on how comfortable he made her feel. He also understood everything she said. He knew her pain, and that was it.
Even though it was kinda weird for him to meet up with her tonight, Jarek felt confident that tonight may not be so bad after all.
I better hope for the best then, he thought.
With that in mind, Jarek put on his pajamas, got into his bed, and fell asleep.
Three more hours later...
It was quiet now. Everyone was now asleep; all having their greatest dreams or their worst nightmares.
Well... almost everyone.
knock knock knock
Jarek simply open his eyes by the sound coming from his door.
Good thing I'm a light sleeper... That must be her, Jarek thought.
He got out of bed and head towards his door.
He turns the knob and open it.
There she was.
The isolated princess.
Standing right in front of him. She was wearing her blue nightgown and white gloves. From the moonlight shining over her through the window, her appearance looked majestic.
"H-Hello," she first said.
Whatever made Jarek silent from the appearance of the beautiful princess, was broken by the sound of her voice. "H-H-Hi," he awkwardly replied.
This made Elsa stop talking for a bit.
The awkwardness turned into silence.
.
.
.
"This is weird," Elsa broke the silence.
Jarek raised an eyebrow, "I beg your pardon?"
"L-Let me put it this way. You see, I've been isolated in my room for five years now. I never been out like this, since last night. So for me, it's weird." She was right. She wasn't used to the outside world, anymore.
"...I kinda get what you're saying, Elsa. Things like this happen, and before those people know it, the choices they have made may become much harder to forget. No offense to you, though," Jarek replied.
Elsa looked up at him and smiled. "Thank you. I appreciate that."
Jarek smiled back.
There was now silence, again.
.
.
.
"So... now that your um...," Jarek slowly started.
Elsa realized what Jarek was trying to say, "Oh.. right! Follow me." She then walks down the hallway to her right, with Jarek behind her.
After a few minute walk, they both made it to the gardens. The bloomed flowers and the stems of grass were swaying through the light wind. There was also small random patches of snow, all still in the process of melting. They both came up to a small space of grass right next to the small lake that was centered within the gardens, but just big enough for both of them to lay down.
Elsa laid down on the grass and patted a spot next to her for Jarek. He accepted it and sat down next to her.
For a few moments, they didn't say a thing to each other.
That is until Jarek asked, "So... what do you want to talk about?"
Elsa looked at him. "Nothing much honestly," she answered. She turn her head back. "I usually do nothing in my room, except reading books and looking out of my window. Whenever my sister comes knocking on my door, I always tell her 'no' or 'go away'."
"Why?"
"I can't really say."
"Okay," Jarek simply replied back, before asking her, "What were you doing last night?"
Elsa looked at him again, for a moment. She turn her head back and looked down. "I was by Anna's room, in front of her door. I kept staring it. I wanted to knock and asked her to come out. But I couldn't."
"Why n-?"
"I just couldn't!"
Jarek was silent, as he was a bit taken back by her sudden outburst. He looks back toward the flowers in front of him.
He could now hear Elsa silently crying.
This brought Jarek's hands up to his nose and him closing his eyes.
Jarek was now in a tight spot. He didn't expect Elsa to break down so soon. He felt ashamed for his choice of words, and now he wasn't sure how to calm her down.
Suddenly, Jarek remembered a moment in his life.
A moment that even though he knew it was troubling one, it still hold a significant message that he has carried with him even to this day.
"Mom, Dad, I'm scared."
"What's wrong, Jarek?"
"I got picked on at school today. It was badder than yesterday. I was named-called. I was pushed around. Sometimes, they threw things at me."
"Jarek, I am so sorry..."
"I'm scared. I'm really scared. I don't want to go to school tomorrow."
"Don't say things like that."
"But, it's true."
"Jarek... it's okay to be afraid. But you should not let fear control you."
"Don't pay attention to those bullies, Jarek. Always remember what we tell you..."
"Let the bad things go away, and let the good things start a new day."
Tears ran down his face; not of tears sadness, but of tears of joy. The flashback kept echoing in his mind.
Jarek then shivers a bit, as he lets out a deep sigh.
Elsa heard him. She stopped sobbing for a moment and slowly looks back at Jarek. She could see him shivering, tears spilling out, his hands now on the ground, his head looking toward the sky, and most of all the warm smile on his face.
"Jarek,... w-why are you crying?" Elsa asked.
It didn't take long for Jarek to look back at her; his warm smile never leaving his lips. He still noticed the tears falling down the princess' face and the deep frown that was on her lips.
Don't worry-
The first words that came out of Jarek's mouth, which actually were done in a melodic tone, took Elsa by surprise.
-about a thing.
"What are you talking about?" Elsa asked again, as the rate of her tears sped up a little.
'Cause every little thing is gonna be alright.
Elsa remained silent at this point. For some reason, Jarek's calming voice took affect of her mood. The rate of her tears slowed down, her breathing gently went back to a comfortable rhythm, and the chilling intensity around the garden slowly dissipated.
Whether she aware of it or not, Jarek however ignored the sound of the sweet, heartwarming music.
Don't worry about a thing.
'Cause every little thing is gonna be alright.
(Jarek looks back at the stars.)
Rise up this morning.
Smiled at the rising sun.
(The clouds above uncover the glowing moon. A patch of the moon's light shines down on Jarek.)
Three little birds.
Pitch by my doorstep.
(As sung, three little birds flew down right in front of Jarek.)
Singing a sweet song.
(Jarek lays his left hand down in front of the birds. One of them happily accepts and flutters onto his hand.)
Of melodies pure and true.
(Jarek brings his hand up to his face.)
Saying: This is my message to you-ou-ou...
(Jarek, and miraculously the three little birds, turns toward Elsa.)
Singing: Don't worry about a thing.
'Cause every little thing is gonna be alright.
(The other two remaining little birds flutter on Jarek's right shoulder and forehead respectively, as all three happily chirp to the song.)
Singing: Don't worry about a thing.
'Cause every little thing is gonna be alright.
Rise up this morning.
Smiled at the rising sun.
Three little birds.
(Jarek stretches his right arm out and the three little birds all flutter onto his limb. Both he and Elsa look at the three little birds.)
Pitch by my doorstep.
Singing a sweet song.
Of melodies pure and true.
Saying: This is my message to you-ou-ou...
(Jarek then hovers his right arm up more; resulting in the three little birds to fly up away into the night sky.)
Saying: This is my message to you-ou-ou..
(The music ends with a guitar string, as Jarek laid his arm back on the grass.)
Elsa was now amazed by how sympathetic Jarek's voice was as he sung. But even though she felt no more tears dripping down her cheeks, and her breathing brought to a normal pace, she still wasn't quite sure what it all meant for.
"Let the bad things go away, and let the good things start a new day," Elsa was then brought out of her trance when Jarek spoke in a normal tone again, "That's what my parents always told me whenever I felt sad or let down," Jarek continued, as he wipes the tears from his own eyes, "They would always tell me to not let any negative moment of the day before affect me, and always told me to remember the good things in life. They kept telling me that since the day I was born, and I would always keep those words close to me," he paused for a moment and looks back toward the moon, "Those words... kept me going, because every time I thought of those words,... a smile would always be brought to my face."
Jarek once again looks back at Elsa, who gave him a somewhat confused expression, "I don't know exactly what's bothering you, Elsa. Heck, I may never know... But you should always remember to not let any bad thing in the past get a hold of you. Always remember the good ones."
Elsa's eyes were now so wide, she almost couldn't blink.
She looks away at him, again; thinking about what he just told her. She never realized how deep and personal memories could really be.
For a moment, Elsa could feel butterflies in her stomach.
Elsa then looks at her left gloved hand for a moment and started to slowly take it off. When it was fully off, she laid her glove on the grass, and slowly, ever so slowly, Elsa reach out and gently placed her now bare hand on his.
It was now Jarek's turn to widen his eyes, as suddenly felt a warm tingle up his spine.
He looks down her left hand now feel the soft, smooth skin brushing on top of his.
He slowly looks back up at her and saw Elsa smiling at him. "Thank you," she said.
"For what?" Jarek blinked.
"For telling me all of that. I... really needed it," Elsa looks slightly down, her smiling never leaving her lips and a small tint of pink forming on her cheeks.
Jarek slowly return the smile at her and looks back up at the stars.
Elsa did the same thing.

Thud
Jarek felt something soft hit his right shoulder.
He look to his right and found Elsa sleeping, her head laying on his shoulder. Jarek smiles at this, as he softly chuckled while scratching his left cheek.
Looks like someone's tired, Jarek thought.
He also notice a glove lying on the ground. Must be one of hers, he then thought.
As best he could be, Jarek picks her glove up from the grass. He then heaves her sleeping body up to his arms and carries her back to her room.
When he was inside her room, Jarek laid her on her bed.
He pulled the covers up to her neck and places her glove on the night table next to her.
He walks out towards the door. But before he could close it, he looks back at Elsa one more time.
"Goodnight,... snowflake," Jarek softly said.
He then gently closes her door and heads back to his own bedroom, where he slept peacefully for the rest of the night.
Another Happy Ending...

Seven Years Later...

Jarek's POV
And that's... how it happen.
The beginning of a friendship between one sister, a man, and another sister.
It went on for about...
"How long has it been?" I said, "Well, I first met them in January,... and I was almost 14 back then... so it's been...," I started counting with my fingers.

"...eight years!?" I realized, "Man,... time flies pretty fast."
Yep, it's been eight years since I first met Elsa and Anna.
Even though the two sisters haven't really met each other during that time period, I do believe that this day will be the day that Elsa and Anna would finally meet face-to-face.
Anna is gonna be so happy about this.
But Elsa,... she, I hope, might feel the same way.
"Nothing can go wrong on this day... nothing," I said
"Jarek! Jarek!"
I turn around, from my bedroom window, and saw none other than Princess Anna, wearing her coronation dress; her hair pulled back into a bun. "What is it, Anna?" I asked her.
"IT'S CORONATION DAY!" Anna shouted out.
I laugh at her cheeriness. "Hehehe, I know what today is, Anna. I'll be right at the gates in just a sec."
Anna squealed at this, before running off towards the said destination. "This is so exciting!" I heard her voice down the hall. I laughed again.
I then heard music, again. I heard it before, a short time ago.
I can also hear Anna singing, this time. I could barely hear her lyrics, now. There was words like 'the first time in forever', or something like that?
"Well, today is a new day," I said, as I began walking out of my room, "And I'm ready."
Normal POV
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Jarek, far off in the sea, was one last ship heading straight towards the fjord of Arendelle. The crew of this ship was in the midst of preparing to dock, as they were nearing the kingdom's port.
But in the midst of it all, three individuals stand out.
Right up front was a young man wearing a grey formal coat, a darker-grey undershirt, blue pants, and brown boots. He had black short hair and brown eyes.
Behind him was a middle-aged man and woman.
The middle-aged man had thin grey hair and ash-colored eyes. He was wearing a golden-brown overcoat, a black button-up undershirt, a dark green hat, olive green pants, and black shoes.
The middle-aged woman had dark blonde hair and tanned eyes. She was wearing a dark purple rococo gown and dark red high heels.
Everyone else was focusing around the deck of the ship.
But the young man in front was looking straight towards the castle of Arendelle.
"I'm coming for you...," the man began.
"...brother," Daniel Paul finished.
