Chapter 21: Happily Ever After

CyberActors15: Greetings Readers and Mortals alike. Welcome to the finale of Unexpected Royalty.

Dani: Wait Finale?

Shadow: It was expected to come to an end eventually.

Dani: But there is still so much to do.

CyberActors15: Don't worry about that. It is all being taken care off so just give the brief recap.

Dani: Okay. Last time Danny and Ember thought they were ready to face off against Dan and his allies. They weren't. Plasmius ended up toying with them to make them lose energy before they had a brief fight with Pariah Dark that made them lose energy. And then they fought Dan and that was a complete and utter train wreck. However in the end they prevailed when Danny realised he had something Dan didn't have, power and a woman.

Shadow: That last part makes him sound like a gangster…

Dani: Meh.

Shadow: Well it doesn't matter lets finish this story.

Vlad had a big smile on his face, he wasn't meant to have one but he did, because everything went as planned. The wild card Dark Dan was defeated by the royal couple and it looked as if he had lost his trump card. Oh he was so happy. After the defeat of Dark Dan he had made a retreat to his base, there his allies lay in hiding.

Once he arrived he saw his recently wed wife Maria Masters and his son Michael Masters. He also spotted Pariah Dark, the former leader of the Guys in White (Francis White) and Freakshow.

"Was there a reason we lost that fight Masters?" Francis White demanded.

"Please, Francis. Daniel and Ember only won a battle but as far as the war is concerned we still have a long way to go." Vlad said. "Either way this was all part of the plan."

"Did you get what you needed?" Maria asked.

Vlad smiled darkly as he lifted up the vial.

"If Daniel hadn't defeated his alternate self we would have never gotten this. Soon we will all hold the strength of Dark Daniel." Vlad said darkly as he walked behind his son. "And Michael here will be the strongest of us all."

"How long until we are ready to end the Royal Family?" Freakshow asked.

"A few years." Vlad answered. "The key to victory is patience. And with one of my pawns removed from the board we are now in strategic position. They don't know what to expect from us now and we will keep it that way for a while."

Only two days after the battle with Dan did Danny and Ember return to the castle. They had to take some time to recover after that intense fight and when they had learned that Vlad and his others had fled because their trump card had been defeated they allowed themselves to relax.

When they did come back however they didn't come alone. Following the two as they walked in front of the castle was a 10 year old boy. His hair was snow white but burnt like fire and his eyes were green and filled with attitude. His arms were crossed as he walked behind the royal couple.

"You two suck you know that." The now 10 year old Dan muttered.

In the process of using their power and a little gift they inherited from Clockwork they managed to shrink down and permanently de-age Dan into a 10 year old boy with attitude. He also existed in a state where there was more Danny Fenton in him as opposed to Vlad Plasmius. He had attitude and all his memories as Dark Dan in his mind but all the evil and power had been sealed away. His punishment for everything he did to the world in his alternate timeline had been decided that he would forever be a servant and protector of the Royal family, specifically the younger generation. Danny and Ember could protect themselves… also they had Fright Knight to act as their 'guardian.' In truth was Dan was now was a smaller angrier Danny Fenton with some bad memories.

"Calm down Dan." Danny chuckled. "After everything I think this is fair."

"I have got to say this is probably the funniest punishment I have ever seen." Ember added.

Dan pouted but didn't say anymore.

"Mommy, Daddy!" Dani yelled out in joy as she ran and gave her parents a big hug. "Did you beat the bad man?"

"Yeah we did." Ember said. "And the best part is we got you a new friend."

Dani looked to see Dan and smiled.

"Friend." The four year old squealed in glee before he shot off and gave Dan a hug.

The 10 year old looked uncomfortable prompting Danny to laugh.

"I totally did not see that coming." Danny said.

The royal couple walked into the castle with Dan following behind with Dani clinging onto her new friend happily. As they entered the two were immediately jumped by their respective friends and family. Both sides of the spectrum asking a million questions and it took a while to calm everyone down.

When they had calmed down Danny and Ember explained what had happened before introducing them to the young Dan. Once again there was an outcry from the others but Danny and Ember calmed the situation down.

After a long discussion Danny and Ember took Dani and went to the room where Clockwork was waiting with their twins. However they were treated to the comical image if Dante burning things while Evelyn kept on freezing things around her. Clockwork, although being a being who knew everything, could only shake his head in amusement at their young destructive tendencies. He handed the couple their babies and vanished back to his lair.

The family of five simply sat together and enjoyed their own presence. After everything that had happened it was nice to relax. The family of five, the Unexpected Royal family, made of one hero, one former villain, on clone and a pair of twins sat down to relax and enjoy this moment of peace and quiet.

Shadow: So I assume there will be a sequel?

CyberActors15: Duh… eventually.

Shadow: I best be prepared for whatever antics come next.

Dani: Am I the only one surprised about what happened to Dan?

Shadow: Out of the three of us yes.

Dani: You don't just casually do that to a character!

CyberActors15: Says the very first person who was de-aged in this story.

Dani: Point taken.

CyberActors15: Alright guys the next story will be titled Unexpected Royalty: Dani's Adventure, or something like that. The name will be finalised by the time the next story releases. Until then enjoy your lives.
