By the next month Gavin was completely normal, besides the flinching at loud sounds and fear of getting yelled at. But those were stuff that the people at Rooster Teeth could deal with. The fact that Michael was way overly protective and practically clinging to him was something that people were having trouble dealing with.
"I like how Gavin confuses himself in the middle of his own sentence" Barbara would say.
"Hey, Barbara, why don't you shut the fuck up. You're not that smart either" Michael would yell back.
"Dude, Michael, calm down. She didn't mean anything by it" Ray tried to reason.
"Well, I'm just sick and tired of everyone giving shit to Gavin" Michael snapped.
"Hey, he can handle himself" Geoff said.
"No he can't or else we wouldn't have to be watching our backs all the time" Michael said. Geoff stood up and walked over to Michael.
"I get it. You're worried about him. But being a giant asshole about it isn't going to help. Gavin is starting to return to his original self and you acting like this isn't going to help the situation" Geoff said. Michael sighed.
"I'm sorry, Barbara" Michael said. Barbara just smiled at him.
"Don't give Gavin a reason to think something is wrong. Okay? He has no clue" Geoff said. Michael covered his face with his hands.
"I don't like not knowing what's going to happen next. Like... When is Dan going to attack Gavin again? Why is he so fucking obsessed with Gavin?"
"Gavin's a sweet person. Anyone could fall for him" Barbara said.
"Hey back off. He's mine" Before they could continue that conversation Gavin walked into the room.
"Hello. What are you guys talking about?" Gavin asked. Geoff shrugged.
"Red vs Blue. Nothing too interesting" Gavin smiled at him.
"So what are we gonna do today?" Gavin said as he jumped into a spinning chair and spun around.
"We have a Let's Build to do and then we were gonna do that Let's Play for last week" Gavin stopped spinning in the chair.
"Sounds like fun"
"Or" Gus said as he came into the office "Podcast. You two let's go"
Gavin giggled as he and Michael followed Gus out of the room. After the podcast Michael and Gavin were on their way back to Achievement Hunter office laughing about something that happened. Gavin suddenly stopped.
"What?" Michael said. Gavin was looking at Blaine's computer. On the screen Blaine was watching something from the news. It had Dan's picture on it.
"Come on Gavin" Michael said. Michael tried to pull Gavin away but Gavin brushed him off and walked over to Blaine.
"What's going on with Dan?" Gavin asked. Blaine jumped.
"Gavin! I didn't hear you coming" Blaine clicked out of the video he wa watching.
"What's going on?" Gavin looked at Michael "What's happened?"
"Nothing has happened, Gavin. Come on, Geoff needs us for the Let's Play"
Gavin took a step away from them.
"Gavin, it's okay. Come on, we gotta do the Let's Play"
"No, I want to know what's going on" Gavin said.
"Okay, just calm down. I'll tell you what's going on after the Let's Play okay?" Gavin ran out of the building. "God damn it!"
"I'm sorry. Someone sent the video to me" Blaine said.
"Who sent it?" Michael asked.
"I don't know who it was" Michael ran to the Achievement Hunter's office.
"Gavin ran off"
"What?" Geoff asked looking at him.
"Someone sent Blaine a news clip about Dan and Gavin saw it and freaked out" Geoff grabbed his keys and started to leave.
"Let's go find him" Geoff said to Michael. The left the building and drove around town looking for Gavin.
"What if-...What if something happened to him. What if Dan caught him again" Michael panicked.
"Shut up, Michael" Geoff said. "He's fine. He's probably at GameStop"
"We've been looking for him for an hour now" Michael said. Geoff saw a tear roll down Michael's face.
"Michael, I promise you he'll be fine" Michael looked at him and was about to say something when Geoff's phone went off. "Hello?...okay we'll be right there"
"Who was that?"
"It was Griffon. She said Gavin was at home" Geoff said as he made a U turn and drove back to his house. When Geoff stopped the car Michael jumped out and ran into the house. Gavin was sitting on the couch looking at his hands.
"Gavin, you scared the shit out of me" he said hugging Gavin.
"I-I'm sorry" Gavin mumbled.
"Don't you fucking scare me like that"
"Michael, what's going on" Michael looked at Geoff who nodded.
"Gavin, there's something we have to tell you..."
