"Would you like me to walk you home?"

"Ah, thank you, but I'll be alright, Nozaki-kun!" Chiyo smiled brightly up at Nozaki after slipping her shoes on. Standing in the entryway for his apartment, she hesitated to turn and leave, wanting as much time with him as she could get, though she didn't want to put him out by having him leave his apartment just to walk her home then come right back.

He simply nodded to her, his head tilting slightly when she stood there looking up at him with that smile and the faint blush on her cheeks. They had been dating for a week now, but they hadn't had any real time alone until that afternoon, when everyone else had commitments and only Chiyo came by to work. She seemed almost to be waiting for something, and even he came to realize what it was as she leaned forward slightly.

He had drawn enough first kiss scenes, he thought, so he really ought to know. Settling his hands on her shoulders, she seemed to brighten at that, and tilted her head back to look straight up at him. He leaned down slowly. Slowly. He was bent nearly in half by the time he was at level with her, their lips not quite touching. Her head was tilted back so far, and she was waiting for so long it seemed, her neck hurt, and her shoulders were stiff! "Nozaki-kun...?"

"Ah. Sorry." He realized he was still standing on the higher level of the apartment, only adding to their already large height difference. Stepping down onto her level, he leaned in again, this time their lips actually touching.

It was a wonderful moment, and for the first time, Chiyo understood what that saying really meant, as though to feel electricity shooting through her veins. But after that first moment, she realized how difficult it was to be close to him and to kiss. There was practically a foot between them! She wanted to be close when sharing a kiss, to feel his heart beating, but he was way up there!

As they pulled away, she blinked slowly up at him, then quickly glanced down and kicked her shoes off before jumping up onto the main floor. It gave her a few extra inches, and she smiled up at him, holding her arms open. He returned the smile as he realized what she wanted, his arms wrapping around and holding her against him. Her cheek rested against his shoulder, and he tilted his head to kiss her sweetly.

Now that was how a kiss should be! They lingered like that, enjoy the feel of one another's lips. Hers were soft and tasted faintly of plum lip gloss that he hadn't even realized she wore. His were more plump than she had expected, and they pillowed hers wonderfully, making her sigh happily and wistfully when they finally parted.

"I'll... see you in school tomorrow, Sakura."

She nodded, her expression glowing with joy. She stepped back down and slid her shoes back up, taking up her bag so she would be less tempted to linger much longer. "Mmhmm! Good night, Nozaki-kun!"

"Good night, Sakura. Take care and sleep well."
