Just a random thing that I needed to do, thanks to Finwitch1 for the idea. Please R&R.
Annabeth was laying down in the strawberry fields, enjoying the warmth of the sunlight that would soon be gone. She was on the verge of falling asleep, something she hadn't been able to do in several days, when she heard the sound of a heavy body hitting the ground next to her accompanied by the strong scent of the sea.
"Ahoy Annabeth. How be you?"
Annabeth groaned, he'd been going at this all day. She was on the verge of getting one of the Hetacate kids to curse Percy's mouth shut. He had woken her up with a song about pirates, sung songs in a pirate voice, told pirate jokes, and had spent all of breakfast and morning activities speaking in pirate lingo.
"Percy," she begged. "Let me sleep, I'm so tired."
"But that be so boring," Percy said, mimicking her tone.
"Percy freaking Jackson, if you don't stop talking like a pirate I'm going to kill you."
"Talkin' like a pirate? I have no idea what you be talkin' about."
He faltered for a moment when he saw Annabeth's murderous glare peeking out from a curtain of golden curls. "You'd think that after spending time as a guinea pig trapped in an evil sorceress's lair along side guinea pig pirates, then being chased by those same pirates while escaping, that you would have had enough of pirates for a lifetime."
Percy's face paled, "Can we not talk about that, I still can't eat celery normally."
"Ha! I got you to speak like a normal person!" Annabeth shouted, jumping to her feet and evidently forgetting her exhaustion.
"No you did not, I have no idea what you be talkin' about," Percy said quickly.
"Fine," Annabeth huffed. "I guess there's only one way to get you to shut up."
She leaned forward on her tippy toes, catching Percy off guard. His eyes widened in confusion at what a surprising turn the conversation had taken, but only for a second. Before long he had his fingers tangled in her long hair, the curls seemed to have a mind of their own, wrapping themselves around anything they touched.
He stepped back for a second and smiled at Annabeth, "Ye 'ave no idea how much I love ye."
Annabeth rolled her eyes, "I love ye too."
Review with any other fun ideas or topics I should write about, I'd be happy to take all suggestions under consideration. Tell me what you thought of the chapter!
