I HAVE GREAT NEWS. Yes, another chapter is up that's not it. I'M PUBLISHING ANOTHER STORY! Now before you cower away in disgust, (*Gasp!* Another?! She can't even write this one!) I actually think this story is gonna be good. My writing has improved since I started this one in high school and I'm out of my writing rut. It's gonna be a Star Wars fic and hella AU. Basically, it takes place sixteen years after ROTS and Leia is being raised on Tatooine by none other than our favorite sarcastic as fuck Jedi, Obi Wan Kenobi. At this point, Darth Vader comes back to the light side because of the same reason he fell. Visions. So he decides to go back to his roots. Tatooine.

It's a shitty summary but come on guys I tried. Which reminds me, how the hell do I go about getting a beta reader? Like...do I interview you guys or something? Also, if anyone wants to take a sec to read the fic, the first chapter is up. I would sincerely like to know how good it is. Or bad. I'll brace myself. Don't forget to review this chapter! I pray to every God above that my writing is getting somewhat better. Otherwise I'll sell my laptop and cry myself to sleep every night. This chapter is short I will admit, and lowkey it jumps pretty quickly but now that the new plot is set the chapters will stabilize. Thanks everyone! Enjoy!

Maeve's POV

I looked around my room at my packed bags, wondering when I would be back. A knock at the door interrupted me from my thoughts.

"Come in." The door slid open and Tony walked in, his hands behind his back.

"I got the jet all set up for ya. The best of the best. It'll be the greatest one hour flight of your life." Tony said cockily, but he lacked his usual enthusiasm. I didn't answer, just looked around sadly. Tony sighed and threw an arm around me. "Oh come on squirt, this is something you need to do. We just can't train you to the best of your abilities like Xavier can." He said. I sighed.

"I know, I just feel like Jace should be here." Tony nodded.

"Yeah but if you think about it, if he was here you'd still be leaving without him. You're enhanced. He wasn't." I chewed over his words.

"You're right." I walked over and picked up my duffle bags, and Tony followed suit. He grunted.

"Jesus, what did you pack?" I laughed lightly.

"Clothes." He rolled his eyes and left my room, bumping into Steve.

"Good luck, she packed rocks." He trudged passed Steve who threw me a questioning glance.

"I just have a lot of clothes and he's not happy." He nodded and stepped through the threshold, wrapping me in his muscular arms. I reveled in the warm embrace, and let out a content sigh in his broad chest. "I'm gonna miss you."

"I'll miss you too. But we'll FaceTime every other night or so. Just to keep in contact." He said. I nodded into his chest.

"I got you all set up with Snapchat too by the way. You'll figure it out quickly." I didn't have to look at Steve to see the way his face scrunched up in distaste.

"Do I really have to use that? I don't feel comfortable taking pictures of myself." I giggled.

"I know, and if you really don't want to you don't have to. But all the other Avengers have them so I figured you needed one too." He sighed.

"Maybe I'll use it every once in a while. Maybe."

"Good." I bent down to pick up the bags I let go of to say goodbye to Steve, and he picked up the rest of the others. We made our way to the ground floor of Stark Tower and down there were all the others waiting to say goodbye. I hugged each and every one of them, promising to see them soon and to stay in touch. Izzy squirmed out of Bucky's arms, who had to put her down hastily as she almost dropped out of his grip and shot towards me.

"I'll miss you so much auntie Mae." She cried, I squeezed her tight.

"I'll miss you too Izzy. You behave for your father and everyone else alright? Promise?" Izzy nodded solemnly.

"I promise." She stepped back and walked back towards Bucky who picked her up again. Tony made his way into the limo after Happy finished loading my bags. He waved me on. I looked lastly to Steve before hugging him tightly one more time.

"I love you." He said. I looked up and kissed him hard.

"I love you too." I turned around and without looking back made my way into the car. Not looking out the window as we drove off.

"You do realize you're not being sent off to war, right squirt? That you're coming back in like, six months?"

"Tony."

"Yes milady?"

"Shut up."

I sat on the plane nervously awaiting my arrival. My stomach twisted as I thought of the new area I'll be in. The new people I'll be surrounded by, hopefully Logan will be there. At least I would know someone. I felt the plane lurch forward, acknowledging me of our landing, and awaited for the private jet to stop so I could get off. Once it did so, I hopped up and saw the attendant opening the door. I grabbed my purse and made my way off the plane, seeing a couple workers grabbing my bags. I looked around the private section of the airport and saw a sleek black car parked where my bags were heading. A woman with white hair stepped out, giving me a small wave as we closed the distance between one another.

"I'm Ororo Munroe. Otherwise known as Storm." I smiled, she was nice.

"I'm Mae." I slid into the passenger side of the car. "Does everyone go by their codename off missions?" She shook her head.

"Everyone goes by their regular names except me. It's easier for the younger kids, they have trouble pronouncing it."

"That's kind of cute." She smiled.

"Wait until you actually hear them try to pronounce it. It's even cuter." We laughed and were silent for a while until she spoke. "Please don't be nervous, I know its scary to be in an all new place but everyone is so excited about your arrival. Including the professors." She said softly.

"I guess it just feels like my first day of high school all over again." I twisted my sweaty hands.

"I know, but just know everyone is extremely kind. Most of the kids here came at a young age so they've been raised by Professor Xavier and us. They're extremely well behaved." She gave a sly smirk. "Most of the time." I smiled and my tension did ease somewhat.

"Sounds like they cause some trouble every once in a while." She laughed out loud.

"Oh you have no idea." And with that, the rest of the car ride was filled with laughs and different stories about all the children and the mischief they've caused over the years.

We rolled up to the driveway of a gigantic mansion and I couldn't help but look at it with awe. Storm smirked.

"A sight isn't it?" I could only nod. She let out a light laugh. "Just wait until you see the inside. Even your room for that matter." As soon as the car was in park, a couple kids came out of the front door. Storm and I met them outside of the car. "Mae, this is Peter Rasputin and Kitty Pryde. Peter will be taking your bags and Kitty will show you your room." With that being said, Peter hefted all the bags over his shoulders while Kitty grabbed my hand.

"You're going to love it!" I only managed a small wave to Storm before being pulled into the mansion. "You're lucky, you get your own room but you'll be close to mine, Rogue, and Jube's room." I nodded although I had no idea who any of these people who she was talking about were. She lead us up a grand staircase as I stared dumbly at the extravagant mansion. Kids of all ages and looks were waving at me as we walked by. She led us to a door, and opened it with Peter following us inside. He placed all my bags down and with before I could gawk at my room Kitty whirled us out again.

"Wait I-" Kitty interrupted me excitedly.

"You'll get to see your room tonight! Professor X wants to see you!" We jogged through the corridors and made our way to a grand door. She pushed it open without knocking and led us in a big office. A bald man was sitting at the desk in front of us. He turned towards us, an amused twinkle in his eyes.

"Ah, Maeve, Miss Pryde, how nice of you to join us." His cool British voice filtered through my mind. I stared blankly at him. His mouth didn't move. His mouth didn't move. How- did he just? " I am telepathic yes."

"Oh." Was all I said. I'd never met anyone with those abilities.

"Yes, they are uncommon, but know that I respect everyone's privacy around here. You mustn't worry." I shook my head.

"Oh! Don't worry, I trust you! I was just shocked is all." He laughed and came around the side of the desk. I was surprised to see he was in a wheelchair, but didn't think much of it.

"We are glad to have you with us Maeve, I can't wait to see what great powers you have inside you." My smile fell.

"They don't seem great. They just cause harm." Xavier gave me a look to continue. "They only come out when I get angry, and basically I just lose all rational thought and attack people to kill them. Luckily I had a Super Soldier to stop me both times from causing harm to someone." I stopped. "Well except Logan, I actually killed him but he came back to life." I looked down ashamed. I felt Xavier's hand rest on mine.

"You mustn't worry. This is why you're here, so we can help you." He let out a chuckle. "And from what Logan told me, it was quite impressive. Not many people can take him down."

"He wasn't even trying." He smiled.

"Ah, but when we train you, he will." I looked at him.

"So when do we start?" He looked at me with amusement.

"How about now?"

My back slammed against the wall, and I groaned in pain.

"Come on Princess, let's have it!" Logan's obnoxious voice growled from above me. Professor X, Storm, and a few others who I hadn't been introduced to yet watched tensely from a viewing box above. It reminded me of the boxes at football stadiums.

"You need to get angry!"

"I don't wanna hurt you!" He sighed.

"You can't. Not long term at least. Kill me!" He picked me up and threw me again, and I thudded to the ground.

"Jesus Christ dude I'm not self healing like you!" I whined as I stood up. He only scowled at me, it reminded me of Steve and a wave of sadness washed over me.

"That's too damn bad. Hit me." I shook my head. Logan's scowl deepened as he appeared deep in thought. Before he perked up and a mean smirk came cross his features. "Too bad. Guess you're not shit anyway." I glared at him.

"That's not true. I just don't want to kill you again." He snorted.

"You had a brother right?" I stiffened, and he knew he hit a nerve. "Ah. Right. He croaked didn't he? Because you didn't protect him." I felt the familiar cool heat spread down my spine as my anger surged at the mention of my brother. At the mention of the truth.

"Shut up." I ground out through clenched teeth. He only continued.

"It's too bad really. Maybe if you had control of your powers he'd still be around. But he's not, because you can't." I snarled at him before leaping. My hands quickly wrapping around his throat. His eyes gleamed with success. "There we go kid." I threw him across the room, and watched him slam into the other side of the wall. The professors stood up, and I saw a few of them make their way out of the box. Logan hit the wall with a loud crack. And I stalked over. Before I could, hands snaked around my waist. I snarled again and thrashed around, clawing at whoever held me against them. My hands scraped against hard metal as I kicked and screamed. Before a wave of calm came over my features. I stilled.

"Oh my god." The body dropped me, and I fell to the ground before running over to Logan. "Oh not again!" I quickly inspected him to find him breathing. He was healing himself. Xavier looked over and rested a hand on my shoulder. "I hate this."

"I know, but for us to learn how to help you control it, it must be done." I stood up and looked towards Storm, Peter in a metal form (I'll ask later), and a couple unfamiliar faces. "Maeve, I'd like to introduce you to Jean Grey and Scott Summers. They'll also help with your training along with Peter and Logan." I nodded to them, feeling ashamed that this was their first impression of me. Jean stepped forward and surprised me with a hug.

"It's so great to meet you." She said with a beautiful smile. Her acceptance flowed through my body, and I could only smile.

"It's great to meet you too." Maybe this wouldn't be so bad.
