Tim yanked himself away from Gibbs after the man forcibly pushed him into the conference room. He was really angry. He wanted to go back to interrogation and strangle Sandra Griffin. She took both his parents away from him. He lost the most important person in his life because of her and the possibility of ever knowing his biological father. Worse, she'd tainted what he did know of the man until after he was dead. He would never be able to tell Colin that he was sorry and that he knew he wasn't guilty. It wasn't fair.

"You need to calm down, Tim," Gibbs said once he closed the door.

Tim turned his anger on Gibbs. "That bitch murdered both my parents!"

"She'll pay for it, Tim, but you're not going down there and getting yourself thrown in prison. That helps nobody," Gibbs said.

"She was supposed to be their friend!" Tim yelled before kicking one of the chairs to the other side of the room..

Gibbs said nothing. He didn't try to calm him or get him to stop his tirade. The man was angry and had every right to be. The last week had been hell for him. He'd been a suspect in a murder, found out that someone he'd spent a lifetime hating was actually his father, and then learned that a friend of his family murdered both his parents. If he wanted to rearrange the room a bit, so be it.

"She came to my house right after the murder. She brought food and told us how sorry she was," Tim said disgusted. It made him sick to remember how this woman had acted just days after killing his mother.

"She's a sociopath. She probably got off on knowing that she was responsible for your pain while you didn't. She's going down, I promise," Gibbs said.

Tim collapsed in a chair. "This isn't new to me. I know people kill for pretty trivial reasons, like infidelity or rejection. We see it everyday. But somehow it never seemed more awful and meaningless than it does now."

"That's because you're not the investigator. You're a victim. You knew all the parties. The people murdered were your parents and the murderer a friend of the family. You're not impartial," Gibbs said.

Tim ran both hands down this face. "I need to see her."

"No," Gibbs said firmly.

"I won't do anything," Tim said. Of course, the only reason he wouldn't do anything was because he didn't have a weapon. If he had his gun or a knife, he couldn't make that same promise.

"It's not gonna happen," Gibbs said. Originally, he'd planned to let Tim confront her, but then he'd seen his anger. The anger was justified, but it was murderous. If he hadn't stopped him, Tim would've went after the Griffin woman.

"Gibbs, she killed both my parents. I have to speak to her," Tim said.

"Why? You're not gonna get remorse from her," Gibbs said.

"I know that. I was watching the interrogation. She regrets nothing about what she's done. I don't expect an apology," Tim said.

"Than what are you hoping for?" Gibbs asked.

"Nothing. I just need to face her. I feel like I can't move on until I do. Please, Boss," Tim begged.

Gibbs sighed. He could understand somewhat. In a way, he'd needed similar closure when his family was killed. He didn't need to talk to their murderer, but he did need closure. His closure was taking the bastard out. Tim at least deserved to speak to Sandra Griffin. "You don't go alone. I will be there, and you give it at least an hour. I want you to calm down some more before you go in there."

"Got it, Boss," Tim said. There was something else he had to do anyway.

Tim walked into Autopsy a few minutes later. He found Ducky by one of the tables sipping a body into a body bag.

Ducky turned as soon as he heard someone come in. "Hello, Timothy. How are you doing?"

"One of my worst days so far," Tim said as he walked over. "Is this him?"

"Yes. He's been transported to a funeral home soon. His girlfriend is making his arrangements. You can of course challenge that since you are his son," Ducky said.

Tim shook his head. "I didn't know him. I have no idea what he would've wanted. Let his girlfriend make the decisions. She knew him. They were even going to get married, apparently. Can I have a few minutes?"

"Of course. I should go find Mr. Palmer anyway. He went to see Abby several minutes ago and hasn't been back," Ducky said before heading out of Autopsy.

Tim looked at the body bag and placed a shaky hand on it. He didn't open it. He just couldn't do that. "I'm sorry. I hated you most of my life and you didn't deserve it. I even tried to kill you. I wanted the person that killed my mother to suffer. But that wasn't you. You were just a crazy woman's obsession. I don't even think you led her on. She's just a psycho. She killed Mom and you spent the last fifteen years of your life being hated, by your family, by your s...son."

Tim tried to calm down. He didn't wanna lose it, even if there was really no one to see or hear him lose it. "I know the truth now. I know you were my father. I know that while I was hating you, you were trying to protect me. You never told the court you were in love with my mother because you were protecting me from the truth. You didn't wanna turn any more of my world upside down. You were willing to give up your life to see me happy. I'm really sorry."

Despite his efforts, tears began to run down Tim's face. "You… You wanted me to know that you weren't guilty. That was all you wanted for the last fifteen years. Well, I know now. Sandra Griffin will pay for what she's done to you and mom. I...I hope that the two you are finally free from pain. Bye," he said in a strained voice before heading out of the room.

Tim walked into the interrogation room where Sandra Griffin was. Gibbs of course came in right behind him and then walked towards on the right corner.

Tim didn't go over to the table. He stayed by the door. He was afraid that if he got closer, he'd break his promise to Gibbs and attack her.

"Tim. How can I help you?" Sanda asked.

"Only by rotting in hell," Tim said coldly.

"Well, you'll have to wait a while for that, unless you send me there yourself," Sandra said with a smirk.

"So we're done with the sweet, harmless nurse act. Good, it makes me sick. I came to see the cold bitch that murdered both my parents," Tim said.

"What do you want?" Sandra asked.

"How long were you planning to kill my mother?" Tim asked.

"Since she told me about you. She told me she was going to divorce her husband and get with Colin a few months after he came back to California. I tried to talk her out of it. She was already married with two kids. She had a great life! John McGee was a lifelong military man. He was running through the ranks. She had everything with him. She should've left Colin alone. He could've been mine. I told her she should stay with John since she had two kids with him. I told her the two of you would be devastated," Sandra said

"You didn't give a damn about us," Tim said.

"Of course not. I just wanted her to back off Colin. That's when she told me her biggest secret. When I found out about Colin being your father, I hated you. You bound those two together. I thought about killing you," Sandra admitted.

Tim looked at her with a mixture of shock and horror. He really shouldn't be surprised by this woman anymore, but he was. He had only been fifteen when all this took place and she'd planned his murder. She wanted him dead because he stood in the way of her being with a guy that didn't want her.

"Yeah, I was gonna kill you. I figured that if you died, nothing would tie Allison and Colin together. But I was afraid it would backfire. If you died, Colin and Allison might grieve together. It could bring them even closer," Sandra explained.

Tim fought the urge to vomit. This woman was seriously evil. "So you abandoned your plan to murder me and killed my mother instead."

"Yes. I used Robert's knife. I really didn't mean for Colin to be blamed, but I couldn't really do anything about it without drawing attention to myself."

"So you loved him, but not enough to save his life?" Tim asked.

Sandra shrugged. "If I went to prison, I couldn't have him either. If I couldn't be with him, he should at least pay for rejecting me."

"He lost everything because of you!" Tim yelled.

"He should've chosen better," she said remorselessly.

"He didn't want you. You weren't good enough for him. Hell, maybe he realized that you were an unhinged sociopath," Tim said.

Sandra glared at him. "Shut up! You don't know anything about Colin. If it weren't for your mother, we would've been together!"

"No, you wouldn't. My mother was dead and he still didn't want you. He spent fifteen years trying to get justice for her. She and I were all that mattered to him. When he did finally move on from her, he chose someone else. You said yourself that that was why you killed him. He never wanted you. You killed my parents for nothing!" Tim said angrily. He hated this woman so much. It took everything he had not to kill her now. It seemed he had a little more restraint than he did fifteen years ago.

"Get out!' she yelled.

"Oh, I will. I'll see you again though, at your trial. I will watch you get found guilty and spend the rest of your life in prison. You'll never see your husband or your kid again. I'm sure your husband won't want you anywhere near either of them again. All you'll have is your thoughts of your twisted obsession. You can think about how it was never reciprocated. My father spent his last breath loving my mother and the woman he planned to marry," Tim said.

"Get out!" she yelled again.

Tim walked out without another word. He was done. It was finally over. His parents' killer had been caught and would pay. Now he needed to find a way to move on. He wasn't sure how he was going to do that yet, but he would.
