A/N: HAPPY NEW YEAR! Honestly, the previous chapter was supposed to be the last, but I didn't get the feeling of finished from it. I felt like it was still hanging onto something. So here is the epilogue. I'm glad all of you got a good laugh from the story as you cheered on Kyoya and Haruhi and received amusement from the pranks. I always like writing pranks for the twins because I truly believe the sky's the limit with them. Don't worry CrazyKitCat; my pranks only look good on paper. I can come up with some really good revenge plots, but can't ever seem to actually go through with them… not that I have ever needed to… maybe. LOL. I hope everyone has a safe and fantastic New Year's! See you next year.

Epilogue

The twins met up with Kyoya and Haruhi on the grassy knoll where Chika and Hunny had battled it out the year before, and the brunette still marveled at the fact that Ouran had something like that within its gates. It was a showdown, like the gunfight at the O.K. Corral when the Earps and Doc Holliday faced their enemy. Who were the good guys in this fight? Who knew, but it seemed that everyone besides the hosts had disappeared when the two factions arrived to face each other.

A tumbleweed blew down the hill…

"A tumbleweed? Really? Tamaki-senpai, don't add your own props," Haruhi grumbled. "What are we doing here anyway?"

"It's simple. You and Kyoya-senpai threw pies in our faces, glued our hands together, and fed us…" Hikaru shuddered as he thought about the lunch they ate that day and the repercussions of eating it.

"Not nice, Haruhi. Those brownies were…" Kaoru couldn't go on.

Tamaki tilted his head to the side and frowned, "I thought they tasted really good!"

Face palming, the twins shouted, "It was what happened after we ate them!"

"You can't think my little girl had anything to do with that! It had to be something else!" The blond railed.

"Boss… you're an idiot!" Mirror images declared.

As the trio started to argue about who was and was not at fault, Hunny walked up to the couple and grinned, "Tama-Chan doesn't know what you are capable of Haru-Chan, but I'm really happy you and Kyo-Chan are finally together!"

Glancing up at her boyfriend, she smiled, "I am too, Hunny-senpai."

"Now Takashi and I don't have to take matters into our own hands."

"What does that mean?"

The shorter man just giggled as he rejoined his cousin, calling out over his shoulder, "Let's just say, we have been wondering for a long time how long it would take before you realized you loved each other."

Haruhi's jaw dropped opened while Kyoya smirked and pushed up his glasses. Chuckling, he said, "It appears Hunny-senpai has known about our feelings for each other for some time."

"How? I didn't tell anyone!" When they had finally confessed and decided to be together, they had a long talk and divulged to each other exactly how long they had cared for each other… it was a lot longer than either of them thought.

Wrapping his arms around her and holding her close, Kyoya explained, "Hunny-senpai has always been very observant, probably more so than Tamaki or Mori-senpai. He and Mori-senpai probably figured it out on his own."

"Oh." She thought she had a poker face, but maybe she wasn't as adept at hiding her feelings as she once believed.

"Hey! Stop that you two!" Hikaru snapped.

"That's right. We are here for a reason!" Kaoru agreed.

Releasing his girlfriend, Kyoya crossed his arms over his chest and asked, "And exactly what would that reason be?"

"Retribution!" The redheads bellowed.

"Eh? Retribution? Why do you need to do that to them?" Tamaki inquired, confusion apparent on his face and in his voice.

Tick marks appeared over Hikaru's head as he growled, "We already explained why."

"Hika-Chan, Kao-Chan, why are you meeting here? Aren't pranks more your forte?" Hunny questioned.

"We would have, but every time we do something, Kyoya-senpai plays hero and they share a moment," Kaoru explained.

"It goes against everything we endeavored to do," Hikaru turned away from Tamaki and added. "Plus if we do something to one of them, they will do something to us, we will do something to them…"

The twins sighed and announced together, "It's a never ending circle."

"Plus we feel that Kyoya-senpai owes us something for stealing our toy," Kaoru said.

"And we are here because?" The Shadow King was starting to get slightly irritated.

"That's easy… PAINT BALL WAR!" The redheads proclaimed.

"How do we know you won't cheat?" Haruhi asked. She didn't trust this or them.

Grinning from ear to ear, Hikaru and Kaoru told her, "You don't."

Which to everyone around them meant, they were going to cheat and no one was safe.

After a little more discussion, Kyoya smirked and told them, "Okay. We will play your game, but if we win, you cannot seek further revenge or prank us again."

"Deal, and don't forget… this is war. War rules apply," the twins gave him a thumbs up and then passed out the equipment.

"Kyoya, our stuff is probably rigged to not work, explode, or something else. And what the hell does war rules apply mean?" Haruhi whispered so that only her boyfriend would hear.

"I am well aware of that. I am also aware that they probably have traps set up around the area since there are no rules."

"What does that mean?"

"War rules means that you do what it takes to win. No holds barred and there are basically no rules."

"So what are we going to do?"

"Why, we are going to beat them at their own game," Kyoya smiled and leaned down to give her a brief kiss.

"How?"

"Just stay close to me." He nodded his head in Hunny and Mori's direction and then made eye contact with his bodyguards who were standing close by.

She had no idea what he had in mind, but this was Kyoya and he was called the Shadow King for a reason. She would trust him, and hope that he was right.

The sound of a horn blared from somewhere and the games began. Hikaru and Kaoru struck first by trying to fire their guns at Kyoya and Haruhi. They wanted to go on the offensive and win quickly, however, their plans were thwarted when Tamaki rushed forward and attempted to tackle them as he screamed, "No, you can't shoot my little girl!"

Kyoya and Haruhi used the momentary distraction to start firing their guns as they ran up the small incline to get to higher ground. Taking a stance near Hunny and Mori, they continued to fire as Hunny pulled out a slingshot and took some paint pellets from Kyoya. Using the small weapon, he fired one right after another towards the twins and even hit Tamaki in the back of the head.

When the twins tried to throw a pain grenade at them, Mori pulled out a shinai and hit sending it hurdling back to the twins where it exploded at their feet and covered them with pink paint. And then they were hit from behind when Tachibana disarmed one of the many traps and threw a paint grenade at the redheads, and again it exploded upon impact. Their backsides were covered in blue.

"It appears we win," Kyoya announced.

Haruhi turned towards her boyfriend with excitement and lost her footing. Slipping down the small hill, she landed on her butt and felt something pop under her, and then everything felt wet. She hadn't. Standing up, she swiped at her back and realized… she had. She had landed on a landmine of paint. One of the twins' traps had been sprung much to Hikaru and Kaoru's delight, if their laughter was any kind of indicator.

Rushing to his girlfriend's side, Kyoya asked, "Are you alright Haruhi?"

"Yah, at least the paint matches the dress," she grumbled glaring at the yellow paint now covering her hands.

"Oh yes, it could have been much worse," he chuckled.

They won this war, but Hikaru and Kaoru were still the biggest pranksters of Ouran. When it was their turn to graduate, they were both voted the Class Clowns and "most likely to prank a world leader". They would never change and their friends were grateful for that, and really if it hadn't been for them, Haruhi would not be as happy as she was today with the man she loved most standing at her side. One day Haruhi and Kyoya might get married and have kids, and one day the twins might actually grow up, but everyone would always have their memories of the pranks that brought the Shadow King and the oblivious commoner together… that and the many pranks that followed (it was a long time before the twins could trust Haruhi's baking again – especially when it was chocolate).
