Author's note and update :
Hi to all of you who follow this story. This is the first activity there has been on this story in a long time and, unfortunately, it's not a new chapter. First of all, I want to say thank you to all of those who have liked and chosen to follow this fanfiction. I also want to apologise for not posting any new chapters for the past two years. I imagine that most of you have given up waiting for news.
But I have not forgotten this story. In fact, it's safe to say that it has taken an even better shape than what I had originally planned for it. When I starting writing this story three years ago, it was a school homework, a brief piece of writing to be submitted as a way of getting a grade in English class. All I wrote was the first chapter which I had imagined on the spot from daydreams that I had about writing Game of Thrones stories. But I quickly begun to write other chapters and a major story begun to develop in my mind around a Stark dynasty of kings. Following that idea, I wrote two more chapters that you have enjoyed and that I am particularly proud of.
And then came the fourth. I've written probably more drafts of the fourth chapter than any other piece of writing that I've produced. Two problems in particular are bugging me :
*Who's point of view should I use ? So far, I have written drafts with Elia's, Ned's, Daenerys's and Robb's points of view, and I still can't decide which is the best to continue the story.
*At what point should the story pick up ? My most logical idea is that it should pick up when Ned and his retinue arrive at Winterfell. But even then, I am having trouble writing it.
Despite these problems, I still want to finish this story, especially since the last few months have given me a wealth of new ideas on where I can take it. I finally have concrete ideas on the conflicts that will divide the characters, the story arcs for several major characters, and even the role of magic (which I originally planned to leave out entirely to focus on the politics of Game of Thrones). But all these ideas will be worthless if I can't find a way to finish the fourth chapter.
And now, I come to the true purpose of this post. I have spent so much time turning this story over in my head that I am having trouble focusing on finishing the fourth chapter. Which is why I would like to know if any of you are interested in helping me to write this story. I don't have as much time to commit to this story as I would like and I believe that having someone to share the writing with will allow me to finally finish it. I also believe that whoever I choose to help me will provide some interesting ideas on its development.
So, if any of you are willing to give me a hand for both planning and actual writing for A Hunt with Wolves, just send me a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Before I accept the lucky winner, I will most likly ask for a draft writing on Game of Thrones. For the brave souls among you, I will probably ask you to write a draft of the infamous fourth chapter . But I will accept anything, even a treatment for a future Game of Thrones story.
So, once again, don't hesitate to send me a message if you are interested. And thanks again for following this story.
