*Awkwardly enters the room*

I thank you all so much, apologize, and hope you can come to enjoy this again~ as its been a little under a year, my writing style has changed pretty drastically, so that is just a little disclaimer for you. But I hope you enjoy!

'Please come get me...'

'Please come get me.'

'Please come get me!'

The words echoed again and again inside Kai's mind. His whole body shook in the cold as he stared down at his phone, awaiting a reply. He saw that Jinora had began typing a response, but had stopped, and the messages read blank. A few minutes passed, and Kai processed everything in his mind over and over again. He thought of Mako, how furious he would be at him. He thought of Bolin, how worried he must have been. He thought of Jinora... and how sad he must have made her.

He laid down on the bench, with no tears, not a single expression. His face was tearstained and cold, and the icy wind had chapped his lips. his whole body has just about frozen solid, and his hair was frosted in the flurried of the night. Just as the sun began to show its light over the tall buildings, he reached out his hands... hoping he could feel that warmth, that he could feel that light. Just as the beams brushed over fingertips, the dead silence was broken by a loud cry. Its sound was raspy and high-pitched, and filled with every emotion he had ever felt in his life.

"K-Kai!"

he turned slowly to see none other than Jinora standing above the railing. . He expected her to yell, to call him stupid, or foolish, or an idiot. But instead, all he saw from her were the tears that fell from her eyes and stained her face. The wind blew her hair over her face and framed it in such a way that made him certain that train did not hold his destiny. She didn't speak another word, yet everything she felt shone clearly in her tears.

As she cried, he felt her pain, how worried she had been, how mad at herself she was... and how her heart had broken. Her beautiful brown eyes glistened at him, holding the saddest sorrow. He could hardly look at her without feeling himself begin to break down.

He had almost forgotten what he had tried to do. But when he looked at her, he couldn't deny the pain that he had felt. For a moment, all he felt was self pity, and in another, regret, and finally acceptance. There was no use in him beating himself up, but he wasn't going to sit there and run every situation through his head to justify himself either. He had to become at peace with it. At peace with his past, his future, and every pain of guilt and self hatred that ate away at him.

With every surging emotion, he began to cry. He cried and cried, staring up at her. Until she pulled the hair away from her face, revealing the most thankful and relived smile he had ever seen. Her face lit up, calming all his nerves. She made her way down to the platform, trudging through all the snow. Without a word she pulled her into her arms and held him tightly.

Her mind was as ridden with regrets and sadness as his, so much in fact that she couldn't even say anything to him. Nothing came to her mind. She had nothing to say that could possibly ease his pain. She couldn't pretend like she understood everything he was going through. She couldn't tell him how upset she was, or how worried she was. The only thing that she could do was hold him. And when she did, she began to feel peace. Just the thought that he was safe and with her again calmed her down completely, and allowed her regain her head, pull away, and say with a slight stutter,

"H-hi." Her face flushed bright red. Though she wasn't sure if it was because of him or the fact that every time the wind blew it felt like needles from the cold.

"Hey," He scratched the back of his head casually. She smiled back at him, just a pure, lovely smile, one like he had never seen before. Suddenly, he began to laugh, to laugh hysterically, so much that tears began to form in his eyes. She giggled as a response, but when he had finished, she only hugged him tight once again, wanting to never let go in fear she might loose him again.

But she knew, she would never let that happen.

Next Time: Kai reunites with his family and Asami and Korra meet with the chief of police.
