Recap:

"You! You broke the rules so I hope you're ready for the punishment." Kakashi sensei said dramatically as he did a few hand signs that made the sky go dark and ominous with flashes of lightning "Any last words?"

"Yeah, I got some. What's with the dramatics Kakashi? Before you left you were so hellbent on getting these two to work together, now that they've finally done that and are acting like a team you're gonna to blow your top? That's gotta be confusing them ya know." I said raising my hand like we were in class an unimpressed look on my face

"Yeah, yeah, yeah! You said, you said there were three of us and that's why Akane..." Naruto stuttered trailing off as he lost his nerve

"We're all on this squad and we're all in it together." Sasuke continued for him voice fierce

"Well, looks like they finally figured it out. Takes 'em a while to get any traction I'll admit Kakashi sensei, but they've finally seen that the three of us must work as one." I finished off for him hands behind my head

"The three of you are one?! That's your excuse?!" Kakashi repeated menacingly "You pass."

I admit to laughing outright at the looks on Sasuke and Naruto's faces, the confusion and utter disbelief was priceless.

"You pass." Kakashi repeated slowly when my laughter had died down a bit

"W..what do you mean? I mean how'd we pass?" Naruto asked confusion taking over the disbelief

"You're the first squad that ever succeeded. The others did exactly what I said and fell into every trap. They couldn't think for themselves. A ninja must see through deception. In the ninja world those who break the rules are scum, that's true, but those who abandon their friends are worse than scum." Kakashi explained as his jutsu dissipated revealing a bright and sunny sky

It was a good nindo to live by, to stand by your friends when all else falls away to ruin. Apparently Naruto and Sasuke agreed as well cause a almost peaceful look was on his face and Naruto was fighting back tears.

"The exercise is over, everyone passes, squad seven starts it's first mission tomorrow!" Kakashi announced boldly with a thumbs up sign

"I did it! I did it! I did it! I'm a ninja, ninja ninja!" Naruto celebrated tears gathering at the corners of his eyes

"Let's go home." Kakashi concluded

Sasuke got up right away to follow him, but I had one last thing I needed him for.

"Hey, Sasuke hold on a sec." I called out to him

He stopped and looked over his shoulder giving me his attention though he had one eyebrow quirk in askance.

"I know you probably wanna just get home and do whatever, but I want you to know if you ever want some company, get lonely, or wanna have dinner with us. Our doors always open to you ya know?" I said rubbing the back of my head awkwardly

His eye widened for a split second of surprise before relaxing. He gave a short nod and grunt of acknowledgement and I took that as being all the answer I would get.

"You're not alone anymore ya know? You've got me and Naruto now and knowing him, he won't leave you alone anytime soon." I told him as he walked away again

This time he didn't acknowledge that I said anything just kept going and I hoped that he would take my offer to heart...cause I meant it team seven was a family now and family always stuck together.

"Hey! I knew you would do this! You forgot to untie me!" Naruto yelled frantically

"I wouldn't forget you Naru-nii so hold your horses." I called back as I returned to my brothers side to release him from the post
