in the fast lane, living life without knowing

Her hair fell back from her high ponytail, a style familiar from the cheerleaders at his old high school. But Jellal knew better then to confuse her for that type, as the similarities ended at hairstyle and her penchant for wearing revealing clothing. And even that only screamed against the idea of her cheering for some football team or dating a jock. Tank tops emblazoned with band names, shorts stained with grease from whatever vehicle she was obsessed with at the moment, hair the very color of blood.

No, Erza Knightwalker wasn't one of those girls. But that wasn't a bad thing, he thought, watching her out of the corner of his eye as she sat up on the top of the driver's seat in her convertible. She was fire, passion and beauty. And she had no idea that she was in love with her.

Always had been.

Possibly always would be.

Too bad she had yet to forgive him for leaving for Earthland Academy seven years back, and refused to speak to him civilly in private. With a sigh, he frowned as she threw a balled up napkin at a very tattooed male, hitting him in his head before demanding a light for her cigarette. So instead, he had to watch other guys flirt with her, touch her (only when she let them though), and want her.

And it hurt him, about as much as it hurt when she glanced over at him before giving whatshisfaceblondguy a smirk. She had her way of doing this to him, of making him want to hurt people for having her attention. But he had no right to do so, and Jellal knew it. Erza wasn't the kind of woman to bottle up her anger, she lashed out. And that had to be what she was doing here.

It was best just to hold back and wait for her fury to burn out.

Just like her cigarette always did.

A/N: I've been listening to "Cool Kids" non-stop shhh.

How long has it been since I've even written this ship god.

Also the blond, tattooed guy is a shout-out to my friend's portrayal of a genderbent Lucy Ashley. Luke may just show up more, because I love him and Ashwalker is about as feelsy as Mystwalker (also connected in ways idk if I'll put up on this site).

Hope you liked~
