Reunion

Ryuu opened his eyes, instantly recognizing the field. After all, it wasn't his first time dying. He looked around. It was a bit more populated than he remembered, courtesy of the Fourth Great Shinobi War, he supposed. But Fu was nowhere to be seen. Maybe she just hadn't left yet. Maybe she was saying her goodbyes as well. As he waited, his hope began to fade.

"Why so glum?" a beautifully familiar voice asked from behind. "Cheer up sour puss. You're in Heaven!"

Ryuu turned, smiling as Fu beamed at him. He hugged her, resting his face against her shoulder as she did the same.

"I was worried for a second there," Ryuu smiled.

"I told you I'd see you over here," Fu smiled.

He nodded and smiled then kissed her. She kissed him back instantly, arms around his neck. They pulled apart, however, when someone cleared their throat. Ryuu turned, eyes narrowed, until he spotted Shisui and their parents, Ryuu's biological mother included, standing off to the side. Along with them was Tomu, Kurai, and every other friend Ryuu had lost, along with most of the other test subject children he had been forced to kill.

"Welcome," Shisui smiled. "It's been a long time since we could talk without fighting."

"Brother," Ryuu smiled. "But, I thought you were in the Totsuka Blade."

"My soul was still released when the Impure World Reincarnation ended," Shisui said.

"I see," Ryuu nodded. "I'm glad you're here. This is Fu."

"We know," Ryuu's father smiled. "We've been watching."

Ryuu smiled and then looked back at the edge of the field. An image of the others appeared. Naruto and Sasuke were watching as Kaguya was finally sealed inside a second moon. Everyone was safe and the fight was over.

"Does that mean you get your eyes back now?" Fu asked.

"I have eyes," Ryuu smiled. "And no. I said that my Sharingan would return when Kaguya dies. They only sealed her. She's still going to be around for a while."

"You didn't want Kakashi to feel useless," Fu smiled. "You softy."

"They're more useful to him than me now," Ryuu smiled. "Come on. Let's go explore."

Fu smiled and nodded and Ryuu turned to his family.

"We'll be back by dinner," Ryuu said. "Brother, wanna race? I bet Fu will beat us both."

Shisui laughed and nodded and the three of them took off sprinting. One thought remained in Ryuu's head as they ran. It's finally over.
