Epilogue

Even though the curse was lifted, only Lal and Tsuna managed to return to their adult form. Regardless of the Arcobaleno's disappointed feelings, Tsuna, Ietsu and the rest immediately went to the hospital to check on those who were injured.

Iestu frowned, "I hope Dino-san and Basil-kun are okay."

"I'm sure they are fine. Otherwise we would be notified of changes to their condition," Tsuna reassured him.

Tsuna turned away to see Reborn trailing behind the both of them. He smiled and lifted Reborn off the ground to let him settle between his arms. "I hope you grow up soon."

When they reached the hospital, Tsuna, Reborn and Ietsu were allowed to visit the patients first. Unfortunately, before they reach their destination, a figure suddenly appeared in the corridors that made even Tsuna jump a little.

The face looked deformed at first glance, but turned out it was just Levi with syringes stuck to his face.

Ietsu was too busy screaming to notice, but Reborn whispered beside Tsuna's ear, "I felt that."

Tsuna pushed Reborn's head down a little away from his face, and then put him down on the floor and glared at him a little. There wasn't a need to talk about how he's not a big fan of horror at this moment, and he would not admit he might have tightened his grip around Reborn a bit too much just now.

"Boss made me take his injections for him..."

"..." Tsuna didn't even want to comment on how bizarre that was.

He took a step forward towards the room Levi came from, only to jump again when he saw a head full of long white hair walking menacingly towards him. Then white-hair pulled his hair away from his face to reveal that he was in fact, Squalo.

Two scares in a row. Tsuna was slightly annoyed, to say the least.

"Boss ordered me to get food." Squalo panted as he talked.

Tsuna looked at Mammon nearby who was maintaining Squalo's heart with an illusion, and his patience reached its maximum.

He barged through the door, "Xanxus, don't be a spoiled kid and ask someone with a missing heart to do strenuous work! Also, are you still afraid of injections?"

A wine glass flew towards Tsuna, but he tilted his body slightly to avoid it. "I see you are still well and healthy enough to get and eat your own food, no?"

"Shut up, trash."

Xanxus was lying on the bed with Lussuria beside him holding out a fork with a piece of steak, still trying to feed him.

"Come on," Tsuna grabbed the fork from Lussuria's hand and managed to stuff the steak into Xanxus' mouth, despite the latter turning his face away from the food (so it was done quite forcefully and quickly on Tsuna's part). Tsuna then reached out his finger and poke Xanxus' cheek which was moving while he chewed, "You're still a kid, aren't you?"

Before Xanxus could respond or throw another thing at Tsuna, however, they were interrupted by the walls breaking apart, and a certain white-head flying into Tsuna.

Byakuran latched onto Tsuna, wrapping his arms around him and snuggled into his chest, "I thought I heard Tsunayoshi's voice, and here you are visiting me!"

Despite only knowing Byakuran was currently in the hospital after he broke through the walls, Tsuna did not refute him but instead just patted his head lightly out of habit.

Having lost the chance to lash out at Tsuna just now, Xanxus grabbed his gun and took a shot right at the both of them, forcing them to separate along the way as they avoided the blast towards them.

"Get out."

Instead of successfully chasing out unwanted people from his room, Xanxus managed to invite more people into it as his shot blew through the walls, and Hibari's weapons appeared before he did.

"You are disturbing my sleep. I will bite you to death." Hibari turned to Tsuna, "Omnivore, what do you think you are doing?"

"Hmm?" Tsuna could not even give much attention to the newcomer. He was trying to snatch Xanxus's gun from his hand before he destroyed more public property and disturb more people, while Byakuran recovered his position near Tsuna.

Tsuna finally looked up to find Hibari standing there with his weapons out, "Oh no Kyoya, there's no need to –"

"Kufufu," Mukuro walked into the room with his gang, "Who dared to make me crush my parfait?"

"Ah..." Tsuna sighed, knowing there wasn't going to be any more peace around here.

Reborn had to pipe up at this timing, "Since everyone is here, we should have a pillow fight."

Everyone wished they could have taken a photo of Tsuna's face when Reborn said that. Tsuna was bewildered and affronted because of all places to destroy, they were going to destroy a hospital? Somehow his conscience would not allow that.

However, they knew Tsuna was not wrong to show that expression because it was going to be World War III at this rate.

"I can't believe you even suggested that," Tsuna grumbled as he lay down on the hospital floor after frantically trying to make sure the fight did not escalate too much.

Reborn laughed.

Tsuna turned his head slightly to look at him, "Don't look so gleeful after what you have done. You better cover the damages after this."

"Send the bill to Vongola," Reborn shrugged, "After all, it is mostly destroyed by people affiliated to Vongola."

Tsuna rolled his eyes, "I'll tell the Ninth to deduct it from your salary."

Reborn smirked, "I'm sure he won't do that."

"You know," Tsuna squinted his eyes as if to scrutinize Reborn a little more, "I would almost say you look happy now."

Reborn raised an eyebrow, "Whatever makes you think that I am not?"

"Oh I don't know, you were always moping around since I knew you." Tsuna teased.

Reborn walked over to Tsuna to flick his forehead.

"Ow! What was that for? I didn't lie." Tsuna rubbed his forehead in protest, before laughing, "But it's nice, and I'm glad."

Reborn stared at him in silence before calling out his name, "Hey Tsuna."

"Yes?"

"Let's go on a date."

Tsuna's eyes widened, then abruptly sat up. "Now?"

"Some time later." Reborn replied, while walking out of the room, "So keep your dates open from now on."

Tsuna watched him leave before he could actually processed what just happened, finally mumbling to himself after blinking a few times, "As wilful as ever, ain't he."

From that day onwards, the curse of the Arcobaleno was slowly wearing off visibly, some more so than others. Reborn was one of the Arcobaleno who grew exponentially back to what he was like before the curse, along with Verde and Fon. They all had irregular growth spurts. The rest, unfortunately, remained a baby.

To celebrate Reborn finally becoming an adult and to fulfil his promise of going on a date, they decided to go on a vacation together, and the location was oddly the place they first met, Italy.

It was a country filled with many memories - the bars, the parks, the beaches they had been to - and the apartment they used to stay together in.

They also visited Reborn's favourite coffee shop, which served the best coffee in Italy as Reborn had claimed, but it all tasted similar to Tsuna, so he simply ordered a hot chocolate to Reborn's disdain. A blasphemy, his eyes seemed to say, and Tsuna could read it, but shrugged it off as Reborn wisely chose not to comment.

Tsuna also bought the cake he always bought when he came here, to which Reborn said disapprovingly as he watched him take one sip of hot chocolate, and then take a bite of cheesecake, "One day, I am afraid you will get diabetes."

Tsuna's eyes wrinkled as he smiled in bliss when he put a piece of cake into his mouth, "But today's not the day."

Tsuna looked over to Reborn drinking his pure dark espresso, "And you have an unhealthy caffeine addiction."

Reborn just shrugged, not bothering to deny that.

"You know, when I first met you," Tsuna suddenly stopped eating and sat up, resting his chin on his hand, "I thought ah, he's just acting cool, with the fedora and the tall, dark and handsome vibes he was trying to give off."

"So are you implying that I'm not actually cool? Nor am I actually what you described, but was just trying to be?"

Tsuna chuckled, "I didn't say that. What do you think?"

"Of course I am, that's not even a valid question."

"Ok." Tsuna decided not to continue with that. "I also thought, he must be a jerk and likes to go around breaking people's hearts."

Reborn frowned, "I don't do that."

"Well, I can't be as sure as you."

"Alright," Reborn later agreed, "I admit I am not the best person out here, but I am not as bad as you had said."

Tsuna shrugged, relatively nonchalant about that, and asked, "What about you? What did you think of me at first glance?"

"This person is not as he seems." It was one of the few people that Reborn found hard to read, which was partially why Tsuna piqued his interest.

"So," Tsuna rested his chin on both his palms now, eyes sparkling, "Do you think I was better or worse than your first impression?"

"Both better and worse." Reborn glossed over the question. He glanced over Tsuna's empty plate and asked, "You done with your cake? Come on, there's somewhere I want to take you."

Tsuna tilted his head sideways as Reborn stood up and pulled him up after. "Where are we going next?"

Reborn replied mysteriously, "You'll know when you get there."

When Tsuna got out of the car after a short car ride, he had not expected to see what was in front of him.

"Wow, a private jet?" Tsuna scanned the plane in front of him, surprised. "Feeling extravagant lately, aren't you?" He teased Reborn.

"It gets the job done."

Tsuna let himself sprawl all over the plane seat after they got onto the plane, and Reborn looked amused, "Comfortable?"

"I don't know why, but it does feel exciting sitting in here." Tsuna said as he looked around the plane, and bounced lightly on his seat. The seat was so comfortable and spacious he didn't feel like he was even on a plane, but instead as a guest in some luxurious mansion.

"Makes you feel rich, doesn't it?"

Tsuna laughed, "Maybe."

Shortly after they got onto the plane, the plane took off as there weren't any other passengers.

"So where are we going exactly?" Tsuna couldn't help but feel curious, and the suspense was killing him.

"Hmm, maybe kidnap you to somewhere secluded and slit your throat, then throw you into the sea." Reborn put on his best scary hitman face, and gave an evil laugh.

Tsuna shuddered, "Ooh, I'm so scared." Then he rolled his eyes, "As if that will scare me."

"Why, because anywhere I bring you would be heaven for you, as long as I'm with you?"

Tsuna folded his arms across his chest and shook his head, "More like I will kick your ass first if you ever try to do anything like that."

Tsuna took a peep over Reborn to see what was outside the window. The clouds were slightly blocking the view, but Tsuna could tell there were only vast green patches and he could hardly see civilisation anymore.

"Oh no," Tsuna said, "Are you really bringing me deep into the forests or something?"

"Relax," Reborn pushed Tsuna back against his seat so he would stop leaning over him to look at the window, "Won't your hyper intuition tell you anything?"

"I don't think my hyper intuition works like this..."

An announcement sounded throughout the plane after some time, "Misters, the plane will arrive at its destination in half an hour."

"Okay, time to get ready." Reborn reached into his inner pocket of his jacket and took out a long black cloth.

Tsuna gasped, "Is that a blindfold? Are you kidding me?"

"Are you getting nervous?"

Tsuna wouldn't admit he was slightly so. While he could function pretty well without his sight with years of training in the dark and such, that didn't mean he liked not being able to see. "What's the purpose of this, exactly?"

"It's to add to the atmosphere, for a surprise." Reborn grabbed onto Tsuna hand and held it in his own. "Trust me."

"I do." Just that, wasn't this a little too unnecessary? Tsuna grumbled in his head.

"Close your eyes." Reborn gently wrapped the black cloth around Tsuna's head, before tying a quick knot at the back.

"Hold my hand." Reborn grabbed Tsuna's hand and let it rest on his lap, as if that would calm Tsuna down.

When the plane finally landed, Reborn pulled Tsuna up, and slowly led him down the plane, "I won't let go."

"Yeah, don't worry, I will find you and kill you if I fall down because of that."

To get back to the ground, they had to first go down a flight of stairs, to which Tsuna was quite unhappy about.

"I could carry you down if you want," Reborn offered.

Tsuna obviously declined; that would have been too awkward.

Reborn continued to pull him forward, while Tsuna was trying his best to make use of the rest of his senses to discern what was around him.

"Are we walking through a patch of grass? How long more till we reach whatever you want to show me?" Tsuna was getting more apprehensive about what was to come as he stepped deeper and deeper into the forest he imagined he was walking through. What was going on in Reborn's head? Tsuna simply couldn't understand, despite years of knowing him.

"Soon."

Finally, after some walking through god knows where, Reborn stopped and said, "Okay, we're here." Reborn untied the blindfold, and Tsuna opened his eyes.

It took some time for Tsuna's eyes to adjust to the bright sunlight, but when he could finally see his surroundings, Tsuna could only clasp his hands around his mouth, "Oh my god."

"Do you like it?" There was a hint of glee in Reborn's voice.

"It's beautiful." Tsuna blinked, not exactly sure how to react but to tell the truth, "Yes, I really like it."

"It's for you."

"What?" Everything was going too fast that Tsuna still couldn't quite process what was going on.

The whole sea of orange flowers in front of Tsuna could make his breath stop, and what Reborn said was too overwhelming. Tsuna felt like he never actually saw something so majestic before, much less expect to be gifted a place like this.

"I bought this piece of land, and now it has your name on it too." Reborn gestured to the land around them.

"Are you serious?" Tsuna turned around to take in the whole place. "And the flowers? You planted them too?" Tsuna doubted the flowers grew naturally like this, as they were growing too neatly and well for it to not be maintained by humans.

"Yes."

"That is... that's really..." Tsuna was so surprised that he was at a loss of words, "That's so sweet of you."

Unable to express his feelings into words at the moment, Tsuna decided to give Reborn a hug instead.

Even though Tsuna had never been here before, he still felt a sense of familiarity as he watched the flowers sway in the wind. Then it suddenly clicked. "Isn't this place the same place you placed the tombs in the future world?"

Reborn tightened his arms around Tsuna. "You saw it?"

Tsuna rested his head along the crook of Reborn's neck, "Sort of. I can't really explain how, but I just know it."

"Yes, it is the same place." Reborn confirmed.

Tsuna released himself from Reborn's embrace so he could look him in his eyes. "You have had this place for so long?"

Reborn nodded, "Since I knew you love these flowers, I always have had this thought. The future me never got to show the future you this place, so I thought I have to do it."

"I..." Tsuna blinked, and Reborn thought he saw something glittering in his eyes and uncharacteristically panicked, "Are you going to cry? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry."

Tsuna swatted Reborn's prying hands that was checking his eyes from his face, "I'm not crying, idiot."

"I thought I saw something in your eyes."

"Even if I were to cry, seeing you like this makes all my tears go back." Tsuna laughed at this sight, not knowing this would be Reborn's reaction if he ever were to cry. Are males really that scared of tears? Even the great Reborn?

Reborn would argue that he was obviously not scared of tears. He just didn't like the thought of Tsuna crying because of him.

"If I had known you were going to cry, I would never have brought you here," Reborn replied.

"No, don't think that." Tsuna shook his head, "It's just that... The future Tsuna never got to know about this place, and I could feel my heart clenching a little at this thought."

Reborn frowned, not quite understanding, "Why does it matter?"

"You don't know how much this means to me, and I'm really touched. He would have been so happy to know this, and the future Reborn who did so much but it was never said... I just find it to be such a pity.

"But it's alright. They still ended up together." In a different way, but Tsuna was sure that they did.

Reborn squeezed Tsuna's hand, "We will live for them."

We are living in their place, right here, at this very spot.

What they couldn't have done, we could do it for them.

Silence passed between them, before Tsuna decided: "Let's not talk about sad things anymore."

"Alright," Reborn agreed, so he said, "We can talk about happy things. You know, like how Colonello had recently proposed to Lal."

"Yes, I've heard about that too. They have already sent out the invitations."

Reborn took Tsuna's hand and led him further into the flower field, "And guess what? He sent me a note along with the wedding invitation telling me not to lose out. That imbecile."

Tsuna burst out in laughter. "So what? You're going to propose to me?"

Reborn stopped walking. "That's a good idea. After all, the greatest hitman can never lose to anyone, not even in the field of romance."

"What? Are you being serious right now?" Tsuna watched as Reborn bent down on one knee and took his hand, his eyes widening in surprise at the indication of this action.

"Will you marry me, Sawada Tsunayoshi?"

Tsuna didn't move for a few seconds, still completely stunned from the unexpected development and his brain desperately trying to process the rapid influx of information. "Oh my god... Reborn... I..."

"I'll take that as a 'yes', then." Reborn said, ever confident.

Tsuna finally recovered when Reborn displayed his usual arrogance and felt his eye twitched. What a way to spoil the mood!

"What if I say no?" Tsuna regained his composure and said that just to spite him.

Reborn jerked in surprise. "Excuse me?"

"Just kidding..." Tsuna took a breath to steady himself. "But... Why would you... Oh my god... Yeah... I mean yes. Yes! Of course I'd marry you!"

Reborn let out a breath that he didn't know he was holding. He wasn't even nervous. Hell, he didn't even consider the probability that Tsuna would say no, until Tsuna asked that question. What kind of question was that anyway?

Reborn glared at Tsuna. "Please don't make such 'kid's again."

"I'm sorry, but your arrogance spoiled the mood a little, you know." Tsuna laughed. He should have taken a photo of Reborn's expression back then.

"How many times have I told you, it's not arrogance, it's called confidence."

"Hmm yeah, sure." Tsuna sounded completely convinced.

To be safe, though, Reborn quickly slid a silver ring onto Tsuna's middle finger, as if to tie him down so as to make sure that Tsuna wouldn't go back on his words.

Tsuna smiled as he looked down on the ring on his left hand, just to see that the carvings of words on it never faded after so many years. Reborn let Tsuna put his ring onto his finger too. After that was done, Tsuna smirked, "But oh my, I didn't know you were such a romantic."

"No?" Reborn pulled Tsuna into his embrace. "How many years have you known me?"

"Too many."

"Too many years separated, you mean." Reborn rested his forehead against Tsuna's. "I'm not going to leave you ever again, Sawada Tsunayoshi. Not for any reason."

"You wouldn't dare." A smile graced Tsuna's lips. "I won't let you."

"You're mine."

Tsuna hummed. "Possessive. I like that."

"I'll chain you to me if I could, and I wish I could make you pocket sized so I can carry you everywhere I go, so that I wouldn't have to worry about you running away..." Reborn hugged Tsuna even tighter, his nose now in contact with the crook of Tsuna's neck. He knew he missed this, but he didn't know he missed holding his Tsuna and taking in his scent and just being with him this much.

Tsuna...

How long had it been...

"Forever. We'll be together until the end of the world, until eternity."

Tsuna laughed, "Eternity is a little bit too long, isn't it?"

"You will get sick of me?"

Tsuna shrugged, "You can never be too sure that I won't."

"I will make sure that you won't."

Tsuna reached out his hand to pinch Reborn's cheek in response.

Reborn grabbed Tsuna's hand and brought it to his mouth, his lips brushing against the ring on the ring finger. "This time, we'll say the vows in their place."

Reborn's fingers intertwined with Tsuna's, their rings side by side each other. "So, Sawada Tsunayoshi, do you take this perfect man as your husband?"

Reborn could feel Tsuna's body shook as he laughed. "I do."

Reborn kissed his cheek and grinned too. "Till death do us part."

Tsuna shook his head and cupped Reborn's face with his hands.

"Even death cannot part us."

I won't allow it.

Omake

"Where's the engagement ring, Reborn?" Tsuna pulled at Reborn's sleeve and asked, before they returned to the plane.

"..." For a second, they just stared at each other.

Reborn pointed to their couple rings on their fingers. "Isn't this enough?"

"Are you kidding me? What is this? I did not agree to this kind of proposal!"

"What? The flowers aren't enough? Do you know how much time and money and effort and blood and sweat I spent to plant all this—"

"Oh my god! Why am I even arguing this with you? Tell me why I fell in love with you in the first place." Tsuna turned to walk back to the plane, only to have Reborn wrap his arms around Tsuna's waist from the back.

"Why indeed..." Reborn produced a platinum ring that shone in the sunlight and handed it to Tsuna.

"Because I'm perfect." Reborn whispered into Tsuna's ear with his deep, alluring voice and his hot breath tickling Tsuna's ear.

At that moment, Reborn could feel Tsuna smiling even if he couldn't see his face from the back as he could feel Tsuna's face muscles pulling it into a wide smile. Before Reborn could react, Tsuna turned sideways and hugged his neck, then moved forward to kiss him.

"Of course. I wouldn't love anyone less than that."

And... The Omake of the Omake

"So you were really going to reject my proposal if I didn't prepare the ring?" Reborn asked after they got onto the plane.

"Of course... not. Do I look so shallow to you?" Tsuna smiled innocently, purposefully hesitating when he said the word 'not'.

"..." Reborn remained speechless.

I can't remember the reason I proposed...
