Chapter 15: Special News

Its been 3 days since that lovely night happen, and today Atem slept with his clothes on for yesterday he got back into the room late last night. He did give his wife a kiss last night telling her that he loved her but then immediately went straight to bed. Now that he was awake, he noticed that it felt a little colder in his room and turned to see his wife was not around. Of course Atem didn't panic for he knew she probably woke up before him, after he slept in today no doubt. He yawned and the stood up from the bed and walked to the mirror in the room and looked at himself. Seeing the crown on his still felt like a dream but this was reality and then to look at his hand to see a ring on his finger knowing that he was married to the love of his life, his life couldn't get any better.

Atem would to the throne room, he wanted to tell Dawn some good news, he was no longer getting pressured into having an heir and she needed to know. He bumped into his childhood friend and smiled, "I'm sorry Mana I didn't see you there." The girl just laughed, she became a great magician thanks to Mahad's training, her Ka was known as the Dark Magician Girl and looked exactly like Mana too. "Mana have you seen my wife?" Mana just shook her head, "No but you can ask Mahad" and I nod thanking her and then leaving to find my other friend and loyal companion. When he found him, Atem wish him a good morning but Mahad just smiled, "My Pharaoh it is in the afternoon." Atem blinked he slept for that long and no came to wake him, he sighed, "Anyway have you seen my wife?"

"The Queen? Yes I have she's in the garden apparently from what I heard some healers had to look at her because she was acting strange." Atem then rushed to the garden hoping Dawn wasn't sick, he didn't know what to do if she got an illness that couldn't be cured just like his own mother. He ran and was met was the most lovely voice in Egypt. There sitting under their tree was Dawn, she had her crown in her head and Atem smiled. "So there you are I've been looking all over for you" and Dawn stopped to smile at him, "Atem." He walked to her and held her hand, "My love I heard that some healers check on you are you alright." Dawn just giggled, "Yes I'm more than alright in fact I have some news to tell you special news." The man noticed that she became nervous and he just held her hand a bit tighter encouraging her it will be alright. Then Dawn took a deep breath, "I'm pregnant Atem."

Atem just stood there for a moment until the words finally hit his ears and looked at her, "I'm going to become a father." Dawn just nods slowly and the once again Atem became the happiest man alive and picked up his wife spinning her around, "We are going to be parents this is wonderful news my love when did you find out." "This morning because I noticed I was feeling well in my stomach and my monthly has gone by yet." Atem smiled at her, "That's makes me so happy."

Soon all of Egypt knew the next day that their king was getting an heir to the throne, everyone was throwing parties and celebrating it was a joyous moment. This also turned Atem into a very protective mood, he wouldn't allow anyone to see Dawn except him. It was funny had quickly days turned into months and just like that 8 months had passed and apparently she was having twins which made Atem blinked. He sat next to when Dawn went into labor, he held hand and just smiled. Eventually the room was filled with cries of two children, a boy who just like Atem but the yellow was not lightning strikes (basically Yugi) and the girl looked liked her mother. The boy was named Heba and the girl was named Asuna.

Atem held Asuna while Dawn held Heba, the two smiled at each other knowing this was start of a new journey for them.
