Man, this has been a while huh?

2 years to be precise! Which makes it weirder when you get a notification like this out of the blue, right? Well, assuming anyone who still follows this story/cared for it still does any more or is still engaged in fanfiction regularly, regardless, where I am going with this?

Well, 'Smash On!' is kinda sorta back. But not really. I'll leave a link and the name of the new author since I only just remembered this account's details today. But basically, I'm rewriting 'Smash On!' but with some huge differences. The main one being my writing, which is vastly better (I hope) to what was featured in this story. Secondly, it's an Ultimate AU where basically the events of 'Smash On!' never happened, but skipped forward to Ultimate.

So while I'm going to not recycle plots, most of the time, there is a never overarching storyline. Of course, there's no pressure to go check it out or anything, heck, I doubt many people will even get notified by this anymore. But. well...I read through all the reviews I got on this story and I couldn't help but smile. So much nostalgia and happiness has been driven by this story for me, that I just had to come back to it. Unfortunately on a new account.

So go check it out! Maybe, if you want to, and if you enjoyed 'Smash On!'.

I also favourited and liked that account, and the story, if that helps people track it!

Now for, sort of a gush.

I cannot, absolutely cannot thank everyone enough. For people who read, re-read, reviewed, liked and followed and still come to this story. I started this four years ago and finished it two years ago, and without the amount of support and love I had coming from the people who viewed this story, I wouldn't be where I am today or who I am today. Through gender identity issues, which are now solved but were happily vented and talked about in this story, to life struggles and creative depression, you readers and reviewers kept pushing me and gave me a place where I could come and freely vomit ideas. Honestly, I've re-read half of it already and I couldn't stand my writing. Perhaps it's just I'm older, or maybe it's that for the longest time, this story and its structure was awful. But of course it was, it was my first story and throughout it I watched it develop and improve with me. Plotlines, jokes and all sorts of things just got better and better and now, with re:Ultimate, I feel like I'm at a place where I can write a 'Smash On!' story I can be proud of. Though I'll have to apologise, it may take me a while to get certain characters nailed again, it has been a while. But I hope I get there again, to write something that got as much love and made as many smiles as this one did.

So for the last time now, at least on this account, I'm Sam and it's been a pleasure to have you read Smash On!
