"My fellow Americans, it's is with great pride and relief that I can come to you tonight and say that the our war with the Federation is over. After gaining information on a new Federation weapon based on the ODIN, a weapon that so long ago was turned against us and devastated our country, in that day we lost twenty seven million of our country men and came to be known as the bloodiest day in our nations history, was being built in what was endgame to destroy our nation.

Our military conducted a daring operation, spear-headed by the legendary Ghosts, that struck deep into the heart of our enemy and took the weapon from their hands and devastated their forces.

However instead of pulling the trigger of retribution, we instead called for the immediate disarmament of the Federation forces, they have complied. However this victory was not without lost, many brave men and women were lost in the attack, including the destruction of our last aircraft carrier the USS Liberator.

But through their sacrifice we have prevailed and marked the beginning of a new era for the United States."

The conflict that came to be known as the Federation war, was one of the bloodiest in world history second only to WWII. With the loss of several south western cities including Santa Monica, Dallas, and Las Vegas with death toll being at twenty seven million civilian casualties in the opening days. However despite this U.S. forces outnumbered and outgunned fought the Federation to a stalemate.

Another factor in the U.S. elite Ghost teams code named Task Force: Stalker. A unit of men and women combined from the nations special forces. Their true value wasn't in their unmatched skills, but in the fear they created making Federations forces hesitate in their march. One particular Ghost squad was instrumental in ending the war. They were responsible for the destruction of the atlas oil platform and unveiling of the Federations space weapon program.

However while the U.S. and Federation were busy with their war, the world around them changed drastically. The advent of a new technology called the Infinite Stratos taking the form of a highly advanced exo skeletal power armor that outclassed almost every known weapon save for the LOKI/ODIN systems which held a position out of reach to the rest of the world.

Something every I.S. owning country now fears.

Months later the U.S. and representatives from a now very fractured Federation (Due in part to several discreet Ghost operations) returned to the world stage.

What effect they will have in this brave new world is anyone's guess.

So new story not exactly the one I promised, but it's something I could not get out of my head. But this will still involve tactically oriented soldiers taking I.S. with their gear and skills.

This is a very short chapter even by my standards, but it's only an intro. Expect more to come.
