Apologies for the delay, but gonna level on a few things.

When I first started "How To Be A Shifter", Chapter 59 of the manga had just been released. At this point in time, there were a lot more questions to the nature of Titans, the Coordinate, Grisha, and various other key elements in the story. As time went on, many of these elements were explained and deviated far beyond then-popular fan theories and established facts.

Due to this, my story is EXTREMELY far off of what the canon of Attack on Titan is. I've gone through several drafts for the next chapter in the past months, and none of them feel up to par, and many factors of the story conflict with or work in complete opposite of the canon. Additionally, given the past few years, my style of writing has changed drastically and doesn't match up with the previous chapters. In order to continue, I would need to rewrite the whole story to fit my new standards for myself as a writer, as well as to line up a BIT more with the series canon.

However, over the past 48 chapters, Attack on Titan itself has degraded massively in quality, and I've begun growing increasingly annoyed and tired of Isayama as a writer. If I were to continue, I would have to drop everything in canon after Zeke's introduction, rewrite the story, and restructure the Attack on Titan "lore" to something I can work with. Given that I no longer enjoy the canon material, this has been an incredibly difficult task to push myself to continue.

The last straw in all of this came from Chapter 107 released just this month. After reading through the chapter, I realized that I well and truly hated the way the characters have developed. If I can't even enjoy the canon material, continuing this story is only going to drive me more insane.

I will probably write a few more stories related to this canon to tie things up, as well as fix up some of the writing in the earlier chapters, but this is going to be it for me writing Attack on Titan stories. If you want to read some of my better work, I'm currently working on a Katawa Shoujo story, and will be pushing out a few more stories for that series in the near future. For now, though, How To Be A Shifter is officially on an indefinite hiatus.

Thanks for reading, hope you guys aren't too disappointed.
