Hey there, guys! I'm back and the eleventh chapter of "Elaine, the Fox's Sin of Greed" is here. Thank you guys once again for your reviews, follows and support of this AU story and I finally have made an update here before 2019 ends. With help of Light He'arth, I was able to get some new ideas for this AU story and it's greatly appreciated.

Plus, he is also the one who drew Elaine with the Fox symbol, wielding Hadhafang as fairy and human and in her human form as Guardian Saint and Holy Knight on deviantart and credits goes to Light He'arth. Be sure to check out his stories and artwork.

Chapter 11

"Why, you ask, sister? You've forgotten that as well?", King serenely wonders in response with his eyes apparently looked glassy as if he was not himself.

H-His eyes, Elaine thought upon looking at his face, he's under some sort of mind control spell. She tried to get a read on his mind and heart for answers but all she get were full of hate towards her and they were clearly manipulated. What happened to you?

"Well it doesn't matter. The important thing is that...", the Grizzly's Sin of Sloth simply shrugged in a lazy manner before Chastiefol began to drill rapidly on his sister's stomach and drove its way clean way through into the sky. "You're the Fox's Sin of Greed, Elaine. Or should I say..."

The two siblings looked in silent fear and awe of the blond haired woman regenerating from the large hole in her stomach while she wiped the blood off her mouth.

"Elaine the Undead Fairy.", the floating brunette boy finished.

"Okay, what the hell just happened to you brother after we split up for 10 years?! This isn't like you at all! Tell me what's going on?! What made you do this?", Elaine yelled in irritation.

Undeterred, King coldly stated while positioning his Sacred Treasure in the air. "You do remember your sin, right? The deep sin that you committed dear sister. To satisfy your own 'greed'... As a price of immortality. You took the Fountain of Youth for yourself and burned down our home, the Fairy King's Forest out of treason and spite. All just to get away from the responsibilities as the Guardian Saint."

Clenching her fist and mentally willing her Hadhafang to fly to her from the Boar Hat as soon as possible which she knows Meliodas will take notice and come here immediately, the Fox's Sin of Greed told the boy and the girl, "Children, get out of here. You'll get in the way."

As the two human siblings have moved out of the way, King readies himself with his Sacred Treasure and rushed towards Elaine in full speed. "Hit the mark, didn't I?", the Grizzly's Sin of Sloth taunted as he tried to attack Elaine with Chastiefol and stab her again but she dodged around it acrobatically for she does not want to ruin her clothes any further.

"Shut the hell up you self-righteous hypocrite! You also abandoned our forest and me, and your responsibilities as Fairy King after you never came back 700 years ago!" The blond fairy in human form tried to punch her brother up close and personal but missed as she hit the wall and obliterated it.

King flew on Chastiefol away from Elaine only to almost get grazed by Hadhafang arriving on the battlefield on behalf of its wielder herself. Elaine took hold of her Sacred Treasure and assumed her fighting stance. "True but at least I did not destroy our home out of spite like you did, Elaine. In fact, I'm glad you came by... Baited by my trap and all.", her brother stated as he launches a multitude of attacks which the Spirit Spear rapidly swarm Elaine in all directions after making hand sign movement with his left hand. "Bumblebee!"

The Fox's Sin of Greed immediately blocked and parried every single strike of the Grizzly's Sin of Sloth's attack with Hadhafang and creates a gale strike made out of super high pressure condensed air on her Sacred Treasure before firing it at her brother in one powerful strike, causing the ground she stood on crack due to the strong recoil. "Iron Mallet of the Wind King!"

Her brother quickly had his Sacred Treasure rapidly rotate like a helicopter blade and blocked the Strike Air technique which caused a devastating shockwave of wind and force that blew off the roofs of abandoned buildings and the leaves of the trees. It also caught the attention of the Boar Hat crew too as well and they are on their way to head there and investigate.

"I don't understand. What are you trying to do at all?", the Fox's Sin of Greed questioned as she readied herself for another attack from her brother.

The Grizzly's Sin of Sloth coldly said with his glassy eyes. "I'm doing what any king must do with a heavy heart. Punishing the sinner for their crimes overdue. As the Fairy King, I will bring judgement upon you for your sin even if you are my sister. If the rumors of the Capital of the Dead being like Hell are true, it would be more fitting punishment for an immortal like you."

"That's not a king at all and it sounds more like a tyrant.", Elaine rebutted with a grit of her teeth. "Did the Holy Knights tell you lies about what really happened to our home and you believed them? The same guys who framed and branded the Seven Deadly Sins as traitors of the kingdom with Great Holy Knight Zaratras' murder and oppressed the human populace for their own cruelty and sadistic amusement!"

"SHUT UP! You're deflecting the blame and I won't have any of that!", King shouted in anger even though his heart was conflicted and trying to snap him out of it. He gestured his Chastiefol to transform into a form that would be appropriate for this occasion.

Suddenly, Oslo intervened and grew gigantic to force the fairy siblings to stop fighting this instant, growling menacingly at the Fairy King's unforgivable action of harming his own sister and the scent of magic manipulating him.

"Oslo! What are you doing?! Get out of the way!", King demanded at the Black Hound's action, not wanting to hurt him and it clashed with the spell he was under.

"BAFO! BAFO!", Oslo roared in defiance, snapping his jaws and readying to defend Elaine.

"Hey, what's going on here?", Meliodas called out as he entered the scene to see a scuffle between the fairy siblings and Oslo in a two on one Mexican standoff.

"What's all the ruckus about?", the Serpent's Sin of Envy wondered after following her beloved captain and took notice of the floating brunette boy. "King!"

The Dragon's Sin of Wrath mischievously called out, "Yo King, you looked like you lost a bit of weight. Ni-shi-shi-shi!"

More than a bit but that's not the issue here, Captain..., the Fox's Sin of Greed sweatdropped at the blond boy's antics.

"King! We've been looking for you! I'm happy to see you again!", Diane said cheerfully to King with a wink of her eye.

In response, however, King remained cold and neutral despite having a tense and conflicted look before he simply flew away with his Chastiefol from his fellow Sins who are confused and concerned. Elaine, however, watched her brother in sadness and can hear his thoughts being a convoluted mess of emotions thanks to the spell on his head.

Back at the Boar Hat

Returning to the Boar Hat with Diane peeking inside the window and Oslo keeping watch in case King comes back, Elaine in her human form and wore an apron had cooked up meals for the two village kids named Ellen and Luigi who were both really hungry and confirmed to be the only remaining inhabitants of the abandoned desolate village near the entrance to the Capital of the Dead after the Holy Knights took nearly everyone as part of their war effort at the Liones Kingdom capital.

"Here you go, kids. Eat up.", the former Guardian Saint said after cooking up several dishes of delicious food for the two children.

"But... we don't have any money-", Luigi tried to refuse the food offered by Elaine but she insisted that it's on the house.

Reassured, the two siblings began to eat up and really enjoyed Elaine's cooking much to Hawk's comical dismay. The talking pig clearly wanted to eat the scraps when they're finished eating but since the food was so delicious with the kids intending to leave the plates empty, there will be none left.

Deciding to make a conversation and make things less awkward other than Hawk's cries of sadness in the bar, the Fox's Sin of Greed asked, "Tell me, are you and your brother the only ones left in this village near the Capital of the Dead?"

Ellen nodded her head in confirmation which Elaine smile sadly in sympathy and let the young girl resume her eating the food.

"Hey, Elaine... We found King already and he's in need of some serious spanking on the ass after what he did to you, thoroughly and mercilessly, after his irresponsible behavior. We don't need to go there anymore right?", Meliodas interjected with a face of concern as if someone had sibling issues with his certain brother a long time ago.

The immortal fairy in human form sighed, "I know Captain but there's something really wrong with my brother and even you can see it too as well."

Meliodas agreed with a serious look in his face, "You're right though. This is so out of character for King to be hostile and tried to kill you, Elaine. Granted that King did impale you with Chastiefol one time back at the team training exercise with Zaratras over catching the bells but since he made sure to never hurt you during the missions we participate as Holy Knights 10 years ago."

"Yes, it was a mind control or hypnosis spell, Captain. I took a good look at King's emotions but they're full of rage towards me. Blaming me for my sin involving my immortality. This must be a work of a Holy Knight!", the blonde fairy in human form explained.

"Guess that makes sense. The Holy Knights are a pain in the ass nowadays.", Diane nodded in agreement and she really hates them for turning King against his own sister and that's an unforgivable sin.

Elizabeth asked in worry since she remembered that sadistic Weird Fang member who almost killed her, "Do you think Holy Knight Ruin is behind this? I mean, he made Lord Meliodas and Diane fight each other with the bell I took away to free them."

The Dragon's Sin of Wrath shook his head and made his rebuttal, "Even if he were behind this somehow, we would have heard the bell from his staff by now. Then again, I doubt Ruin had recovered that quickly from the pounding I gave him into the wall back at Baste Dungeon and I'm not even sure if he survived the collapse of the prison inside after Elaine impaled Jude through him with her sword and won the fight in the climax."

Elaine deadpanned with a sweatdrop at Meliodas' choice of words whether on purpose or accidental, "Phrasing, Captain... Phrasing."

Diane simply finds her captain to be quite bold and daring, "Oooh myyyy..."

The former Guardian Saint facepalmed in response at her Giant friend, "Dammit Diane!"

Hawk said with a huff from his nostrils, "Then who is behind King being mind controlled to try kill his own sister in cold blood like that? This gets more complicated on our trip to the Capital of the Dead than I thought! Pugo! Pugo!"

Oh yeah, Ruin of the Weird Fangs. The wannabe bringer of ruin to the Seven Deadly Sins. What a presumptuous human. At least Escanor can actually back up his boasting and earned that right to do so unlike that blowhard I had the pleasure of punching through his so-called harder than steel skin he bragged about before I got caught and imprisoned. I made sure Ruin will never hear the end of it during my stay at Baste Dungeon to my amusement of his petulant raging..., Elaine internally grimaced after remembering the large Holy Knight's illusions when the Weird Fangs had fought and captured her by trickery, deceit and teamwork 5 years.

The immortal fairy will not be surprised if it's Ruin who may responsible behind King acting very out of character, and she will add another Weird Fang on her kill list alongside Jude. But if it's definitely another Holy Knight who has that power to turn people's hearts into irrational hatred and blind rage, she will show them that messing with her brother's head will face serious consequences.

Luigi asked, "You guys want to go to the Capital of the Dead too?"

"'Too?'...", the two Sins wondered after hearing the boy's question.

The brother of Ellen explained that the floating brunette boy was also searching for that place and asked him and his sister a few times lately before the Boar Hat crew arrived, stating King wants to go to the Capital of the Dead no matter what and seemed to be searching for it forever.

"Is it like a grave that's usually hidden or something?", the captain of the Seven Deadly Sins asked.

Luigi replied, "It's not a grave. The Capital of the Dead is where those who have died go on living."

"So it's like the afterlife?", Meliodas guessed with the young boy nodded in confirmation.

Afterlife, huh? I guess it would be nice to see Ban again after all these years and there are so many things I wanted to tell him about my experience outside the Fairy King's Forest, Elaine thought after taking in the information provided by the two siblings.

As the Boar Hat crew tried to find a way to get into the Capital of the Dead even if it was the afterlife, the former Guardian Saint asked if the siblings have been there before only for Luigi to claim that it was only superstition and explained that rich people and travelers would come here because of it, which created this now abandoned village in the first place.

Then Ellen spoke in a cryptic quote to the adults, "A priceless memory shared with the deceased will open the path to the Capital... The old man next door used to say that. I'm sorry. That's all we know."

Smiling, the Fox's Sin of Greed patted the young girl's head and thanked her for telling them about the Capital of the Dead. If Ban were here, he would have mistaken her as me in my fairy form..., she thought.

Arriving at the supposed entrance to the Capital of the Dead in the open area of the village, the Boar Hat crew tried to use the method of recalling any priceless memory they shared with a deceased person in order to get passage into the Capital of the Dead with Elizabeth thinking about her adoptive mother Queen Caroline but sadly didn't get to know her when her father told the third princess about it; Meliodas and Diane apparently having no idea of theirs to be a priceless memory respectively at first glance; and Hawk thinking about leftovers as a form of priceless memory in a weird way, while Oslo simply looks at Hawk like fresh meat.

Unknown to her friends, Elaine had a priceless memory of her time spent with Ban at the top of the Sacred Tree of the Fairy King's Forest which she always cherish to her heart before the tragedy that befell him at the hands of the Red Demon. And that's what opened the way to the Capital of the Dead.

Suddenly, a field of flowers appeared out of nowhere where the Boar Hat crew stood the ground on before a large gust of wind and scattered flower petals engulfed the group completely. Taking the moment of opportunity, King had managed to tag along with them just in the nick of time, leaving Ellen and Luigi behind unfortunately.

Now at the Capital of the Dead, the entire place is filled with huge beautiful crystal-like structures in the area that are green colored, and green skies too as well. It was a truly wonderful sight to see in contrast to their imaginations and speculations with Meliodas, Elizabeth, Diane and Hawk making their own comments about the Capital itself and wonder who opened the door that led them here.

There's no doubt about it. This is the Capital of the Dead. Shame it's not like Hell I imagined., King thought before glancing at the Boar Hat crew. What does this mean? I've tried so many times but I could never get here... The memory of someone among them... opened the path to here?

After dispersing her human disguise, the former Guardian Saint saw a glimpse of Ban's spirit walking by the crystal structures, where she could have sworn he saw her with a devilish smirk as if he was expecting her, and suddenly bolted away from her fellow Sins.

"Elaine!", Diane called to her immortal fairy friend flying off away from the Boar Hat crew.

"STOP!", King yelled and flew after his sister, shocking Meliodas and his companions of his presence.

Returning to its ferocious form, Oslo immediately ran after them too.

Elizabeth observed, "That's... Lord King? He looks nothing like the wanted poster. Like Lady Elaine."

The Serpent's Sin of Envy turned to Meliodas for orders and asked, "Captain, what should we do?"

Scratching his head, the Dragon's Sin of Wrath replied, "We'll chase after them right now! After we now know King is under a spell from a Holy Knight to attack Elaine with irrational hatred and killing intent, we better snap him out of it, the easy way or the hard way."

"Right. For Elaine's sake. The Holy Knights will pay for trying to turn King against his own sister!", the female Giant made her resolve with her knuckles ready for some smashing.

With that, the Boar Hat crew began their pursuit after the Fairy siblings in the Capital of the Dead.

Near the abandoned village at the entrance to the Capital of the Dead

Somewhere at the forest area of the desolated village, near the entrance to the Capital of the Dead, three unknown figures have watched the scene where the Boar Hat crew were transported to the rumored place of the afterlife, easily identified to be two females and one male due to their different frame and appearance respectively.

The first female has a voluptuous yet firm athletic form of an Amazonian with tanned skin, blue eyes, red hair and wore a black full-body armor with two handed hammer-battle axes that she carried behind her back.

And the other female has long black hair adorned with a white headband, naturally closed eyes and a slim build, and wears an attire consisting of a single white one piece with a small white coat along with white boots and a pair of high heels, as well as armored gloves and knee protectors, and carrying a long rapier sheathed at her side.

Finally, a male Giant has wild looking spiky dark brown hair that looks like it's on fire, well-built Herculean muscular body, red eyes with black scleras, and a tall muscular figure, and wears a suit of armor with a trench-coat with intimidating looking gauntlets and armored boots.

They are the Holy Knights of the Kingdom of Liones on a certain mission.

"So that's the entrance to the Capital of the Dead. It's so beautiful.", the redhead mused with interest.

The Giant warrior scoffed in amusement, "What? The flower petals gave it away, Evanna? Not the kind of afterlife I can imagine for the Giant Clan if our brethren had passed on after dying a slow extinction. Then again, that ain't hot blooded living at all and some things never change after we are trying to grow past our stagnation in culture and society as a whole."

Evanna simply shrugged with a fond smile, "Who knows Thyrus? Lady Great Holy Knight Dolores did try her best to bring in some stubborn Giant villages and few barbarian tribes under her wing and had to beat their warrior chiefs without killing them and show them the better way of our people to one way or another. Times sure had changed after 10 years especially when she took me in and adopted me."

Thyrus smirked in response, "So long the hotblooded spirit of the Giant Clan is still burning bright and alive, I don't really mind the changes done under her leadership of the Giants she rallied after beating them silly and allying ourselves to the Liones Kingdom for this apparent Holy War that the Holy Knights were building up their strength and forces against is a very good prospect. Fighting the legendary group of knights would be a good warm up."

"Enough chatter, Thyrus, Evanna. We're here to test out ourselves against the Seven Deadly Sins and annihilate them when they are at their weakest if possible under Master Helbram's orders, considering they haven't fully reassembled their numbers as of now or that only the Fox's Sin of Greed still has her Sacred Treasure unlike the Serpent's Sin of Envy or their captain for some reason.", the slim young woman with closed eyes reminded.

"No need to rush there, Guila. I may be hot blooded and eager for battle but I'm in no rush to test my mettle and strength against the Seven Deadly Sins, especially with the Giant girl on their side. She had a history with Lady Great Holy Knight Dolores after all.", Thyrus said while flexing his explosive gauntlets.

Guila firmly stated to her comrades, "Time is of the essence and we cannot afford to fail. Plus, the magic effect on King made by Evanna will wear off soon and he would snap out of it sooner or later. Either by Elaine knocking him back to his senses or King realizes something is wrong with him."

The Giant Holy Knight sweatdropped, "Yeah, to be honest. Evanna's power is quite scary. Being able to manipulate the Grizzly's Sin of Sloth into acting berserk and fighting his own sister through confusion of the mind and the rage he had believed her to be the culprit of the fairies' home's destruction. Not to mention, with Gilthunder giving King false information during their talk, it made King confused, angry and vulnerable to be affected by you to think his own sister was responsible of burning down the fairies' homeland."

Sighing in shame, the female Holy Knight noted. "I know. It feels wrong. Making the fairy siblings fight each other leaves a bad taste in my mouth even if it were from Lord Great Holy Knight Hendrickson's orders after he learned about my power and that guy is pretty shifty at first impression when I joined the order and rose up the ranks. But orders are orders."

"As long as the Grizzly's Sin of Sloth does not get in our way of annihilating the Seven Deadly Sins, there won't be any problems, Evanna. But if he does, we will annihilate him too. It's a win-win scenario for the three of us. Now that is settled. Proceed on the mission.", Guila simply stated before heading towards the village and ask questions to Ellen and Luigi.

Evanna followed her comrade and readied herself. "Well, here goes nothing. It's time we show the Seven Deadly Sins the combined might of the Liones Holy Knights and the Giant Nation, big brother."

Thyrus declared with the smashing of his explosive gauntlets together, "Indeed, little sister... ANYONE WHO'S NOT HOTBLOODED IN BATTLE AND CONVICTION SHOULD DIE!"

Author's Notes: Well, well, well, the eleventh chapter of "Elaine, the Fox's Sin of Greed" is done and while the Boar Hat crew are in the Capital of the Dead and Elaine going after Ban's spirit residing there, we have King under some sort of hypnosis that got him twisted and two other Holy Knights accompanying Guila to take out three of the Seven Deadly Sins at the Capital of the Dead.

Thyrus is the expy of Ryougen Homuraya from Kongoh Banchou, the previous long running series of Nakaba Suzuki before Nanatsu no Taizai and I made him into a member of the Giant Clan in the Holy Knights.

And the twist is Dolores is alive in this story and she has a role here. After looking at Nakaba's scrapped draft of Dolores 10 years later for the Byzel Fight Festival by Dolor and Gloxinia, that gave me an inspiration with help of Light He'arth and it's greatly appreciated. :D
