this is it! this is it, guys! the moment we've all been waiting for (or maybe not because it means that the story has come to an end)

It's really sad to finish Kismet and I hope that Jon and Annie's story has influenced you guys as much as it influenced me writing it. I really feel like I explored the deeper meaning of human emotions in this story than any of my other works. Seeing some of your feedbacks from your reviews saying that the story affected you emotionally made me realise that I probably did a brilliant job, hehe (that's me being cocky now...like Jon)

anyhow, I'd like to THANK everyone who has been following Kismet and I appreciate it a lot guys.

I don't write stories like these to get tons of recognition and a million reviews. I write these sort of stories not only to improve my writing skills and gain feedback from an outsider's perspective but also because most of the time when I browse through fanfictions, they usually have the same boring plot that's kind of cliched and so, I write to entertain you all who are sick and tired of reading the same, overused plot. And of course, I also write not only to satisfy my own fan-girlyness but also to satisfy the inner fangirl within you all haha.

anyways, enjoy this story and i'll stop blabbering on...

One year later

Body sore, Jon followed his workmates, Colby and Joe as they made their way to the locker room. His body craved for a good, long rest after tonight's show. It's been a whole year since Jon started a new journey leading to his success in Florida. With many impressed by his talent and dedication to what he does, he was guaranteed a contract to the main WWE roster and was expected to start in the next 4 months along with Colby and Joe. It was an achievement which every single day until now, Jon would still wonder how it even happened.

"…it was kismet that brought me here and I'm here to stay. They can't just boot me out because some bitch accused me of bullying in the workplace…" stopping in his tracks, Jon listened to a whiny woman standing next to Paul Heyman. Kismet…what a funny word. The last time he heard that word, it was Annie who was speaking about it.

His blue eyes wandered towards one of the female competitors around. He'd seen her a lot. Who wouldn't notice her when she has an eyesore of a hairstyle, her long hair would've been nice, thought Jon, but she has to dye it a cotton candy pink colour, marring its natural beauty.

Feeling someone's gaze on her, she looked away from Paul until her eyes met Jon's, showing him the dark pair of eyes she owned. "If you want them to take you seriously, you have to change your whole gimmick and even your attitude outside the ring," Paul said in the background as the two strangers held their eye contact longer than it should've lasted. "Start with your hair Rose, if you want the girls in the locker room to take you seriously behind the ring, act more like yourself, not some punk persona that you copied from a teenage girl magazine…"

Kismet, Jon thought to himself as he looked away, breaking the eye contact and following the tracks that Joe and Colby had disappeared to.

That night, after the show, Jon hang around at the back of the arena, smoking while he waited for Colby to finish up whatever he was doing in the locker room, he needed to hitch a ride after all. With the smell of tobacco strong in the air, Jon was enjoying himself when he was interrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching. It's about time Colby arrive, Jon thought to himself in annoyance but to his surprise, it wasn't Colby standing a few metres away from him, it was Kismet Girl, the pink haired woman with Paul earlier in the night.

"Could you please smoke a little further away?" she asked him, covering her nose while she spoke. Jon chuckled.

"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't see the sign that said no smoking in the car park," he replied smugly and sarcastically, she frowned and he can see it despite the distance that separated them apart.

"Why did you looked at me funny earlier?" she asked him loudly as Jon blew out a puff of smoke. He leaned over the wall and closed his eyes, enjoying his cigarette. She asked again, annoying Jon. Slowly, a pair of baby blue eyes shot straight to her direction, accompanied by an irritated frown.

"You said the word kismet," he told her truthfully.

"What's wrong with the word kismet?" she asked, both intrigued and curious.

"My girl, she used to talk so much about those sorts of things, it's nothing," Jon replied, recalling Annie…his Annie. A small gentle smile crept between his lips as he recalled her pretty face, her gentle smile and that angelic voice of hers when she sings.

"Well, she's a very smart woman then," commented the pink haired woman, Jon smiled. He couldn't agree more. "I better get going, Paul is waiting for me. I hope you have a good night, with your girl," she called over her shoulder and Jon watched her go. Quietly, he reached for the pendant of the necklace around his neck and held it tight.

His blue eyes watched the pink haired girl as she disappeared out of his sight and a soft chuckle escaped his lips. "Kismet," he chuckled, shaking his head in wonder whether Annie's looking down from above, agreeing with the idea that crossed his mind. Whistling a tune, Jon made his way back inside, keeping it in mind that he'll give Colby a piece of his mind for keeping him waiting.

so how was it?

I know, I know, the ending was a bit ambiguous but I'm leaving it to however you interpret it. One thing for sure is that Jon's now satisfied with life and is optimistic. Yay~
