What sup guys! Hope you are enjoying the story. Please inform me if you find it boring.
I know that I said I would update it long back but the fates made a different decision. I met with an accident and was bedridden. I got out of the hospital on Monday. Have been thinking about updating and here I am. So I hope all is forgiven.
As always constructive criticism is always welcome. Please read, review, favorite and follow.

As I entered the palace I found Athena in the library sitting in a chair with a pained expression.
"What happened, Lady Athena?"
"Ah Perseus! I presume you met Annabeth. How is she taking the news?"
"I don't know but she has a lot of anger directed towards me. What did you tell her?"
"I told her about the circumstances in which you were made a god and how she had to forget you."
"What? Why should she forget me? I love her, she loves me(I hoped so but didn't voice my doubt) what is the problem."
"You don't even think about the situation you are in. Think how she would feel when you abandon her for another. Just imagine how hurt she would be."
"Why the Hades will I abandon her?"
"Will you still love her when she grows old while you will always stay young? What will you do when the fates command you to stop seeing her? Will you always be there for her?"
I was stunned into silence. Of course I would love her, even when she grew old she would always be my wise girl. But what will I do when the fates forbid me to be in her life. I know that I can't go against the fates. What to do?
Athena noticed my inner conflict and replied softly, "I know you love her, Perseus. But I want her to meet someone who will always be there for her. You know how your mother longed for Poseidon until she met your stepfather. Do you want her to be like that? Forget about her for a second, Can you bear to see Annabeth with someone else when you know that she loves you. It is best to best to end this.. this relationship now than to hurt her in the future."
As I listened to her, I slowly understood where she was coming from. She was thinking about Wise girl's feelings while I was only thinking about the problem from my side of it. I felt ashamed that I was being selfish.
"I know you love my daughter, Perseus but look at it from my side. I want my baby to be happy, all her life, not just for a few days."
"I understand Athena, I truly do." I signed wearily and said, "So, what are you going to teach me today?"
I hope you enjoyed this. I know that its a short chapter but hey! I did update. Right?
Yours truly harshamrknd
