Hi guys!

Ok, I know, it has been like 5 months since I last updated this story! I am so unbelievably sorry!

Basically I had mock exams and so had to revise for those, since then I've been super busy with dance and school stuff and now I have my actual exams in like 7 weeks! So, it might be a while before I update after this to!

But thanks so much guys for not giving up on my fanfic! And I've finally found time to update, although it's been so long since I last worked on this story, I've forgotten how to write!

Anyway, finally, here's: Chapter 19 - The Dragons

After everyone greeted Hiccup and caught up with Valka it was finally time for Hiccup to explain to his mother what he was doing on Berk.

"I thought I told you not to come here, why didn't you listen to me?" Valka gave a stern look at Hiccup.

"Oh..um, I was exploring like I said I would, when it started turning dark and I needed an island to stay on but accidently came across Berk, when I got here there was a dragon attack happening and I couldn't just leave they were trying to kill the dragons!" Hiccup looked down sheepishly.

"Right, but why didn't you come back afterwards?" Valka knew Hiccup wouldn't have stayed on Berk for no reason.

"Oh that's because, well, you know, why don't I show you? Hang on a second." Hiccup was excited to introduce Toothles to his Mum, so he quickly cupped his hands around his mouth and made an odd screeching sound. Valka stood smiling at his son while everyone else looked around wondering what he was doing.

Suddenly there were a few yells as a changewing flew over the village and landed next to Hiccup.

"Good boy Shiftwing!" As he petted his dragon he noticed the surrounding Vikings who had their weapons bared, so Hiccup gave them a quick scowl as he jumped onto Shiftwings back, and the Vikings lowered their weapons.

Hiccup and Valka were about to take off when they heard a yell from Stoick asking to go to. Hiccup really didn't want him to go but Valka insisted and so Stoick hesitantly jumped onto Cloud Jumper while Hiccup invited Astrid to also join them, so she jumped onto Shiftwing and the two dragons flew into the air, Hiccup leading them to the cove.

When they landed in the cove Hiccup heard the gasp from Stoick has he saw the dragon's that had been freed from training arena, Hiccup gave Stoick a sheepish smirk before dismounting Shiftwing. Stoick scowled briefly but soon forgave him and instead looked around confused, why did this prevent him from going home?

"These dragons aren't why I stayed but I saved them from being killed." Hiccup explained while petting the dragons who cautiously approached them, this lead to Stoick and Valka looking around confused as to why Hiccup had stayed, while Astrid and Hiccup smirked at each other. Hiccup then stepped forward and yelled.

"Toothless!" Hiccup impatiently waited for a response but got nothing; he rolled his eyes and continued.

"Toothless! Come on bud, these guys won't hurt you." As he yelled, Hiccup gave Stoick a quick glare making sure he understood what Hiccup was implying. That's when they heard the roar and in a flash of black, Hiccup was on the floor being licked to death by a midnight black dragon.
