Run, Run, Run

All is fair in love and war but all I do is love you more

She yelped in pain as his fist connected with her cheek. Had she been human, she probably would have felt broken jaw fragments between her teeth by now. But since she was, all it did was give her an annoying pain; enough to disorient her so the next punch she threw didn't land on him.
"Come on Little Wolf! Don't tell me that hurt you, I barely put effort into that one." He taunted as he inched back, his chin just inches away from her fist. He laughed, as he saw the expression in her eyes darken.
"Go to hell Klaus!" She said, charging at him and trying to deliver a roundhouse kick. He was swift enough to grab her leg in mid-air and render her immobile.
He tsked. "Already been there love. I vacation every now and then." He was laughing again. She wrenched her foot from his grasp and he let go, causing her to lose her footing. She struggled to regain it as he struggled to stop from smiling.
It had been Hayley's idea to spar. She wanted to hone her hybrid abilities and put them to use. He warned her that he wouldn't go easy, and she stubbornly insisted that she didn't need him to. Yet she got the feeling that he was going easy on her now, and that infuriated her even more.
With renewed vigor she circled him, trying to find an opening that could cause minimal damage to her. It had long ago stopped being a training session- now it was a display of dominance. Hayley was too stubborn to cut her losses and admit defeat, and Klaus was too proud to call it a draw. So they continued.
She managed to grab ahold of his arm and swing him, so his body painfully collided with the wall. She righted her grip and swung him again, letting go this time so he fell into an ungraceful heap on the floor. That was enough to irritate him and wipe the smirk off his face.
Hayley charged then, her fist ready to strike him while he was down, but she was too slow. He grabbed her fist in his hand and held her captive above him. "Was this meant to hurt me?" He said motioning to her fist in his hands. She snarled and tried to pull away, but he pulled harder.
She also fell into an ungraceful heap on top of him, and Klaus quickly changed positions so he could pin her down. "You move too quickly," He said as he yanked her arm up over her head. "You don't plan your next move," His hand held her fist tighter and she gasped in pain. "And you're uncoordinated. It's been an hour and I've barely managed to bruise, love."
His voice was low and sultry. She struggled underneath him. "Let go of me or I'll bite you." Hayley threatened. She bared her teeth to show she meant business. Klaus merely moved an inch, to allow her enough room to breathe.
"I find that attractive in a woman," He said, his hand other hand splaying over her free one to bring it up over her head as well. "You know from experience," His mouth was laced with an arrogant smirk. Hayley growled angrily.
"You're such a prick. You know that?"
"I'm aware."
