"Get down from there already!" Draco calls, as Luna ascends higher into a tree on the edge of the Forbidden Forest.

"Why?" she calls back, nonchalantly.

"Because I said so," he growls in frustration after a second.

Luna doesn't answer, perching herself precariously on a branch. Then she says, "Why?" again.

"Because you'll fall and break your neck!"

"And you say you don't care," Luna grins at him.

"Just get down!"

"I'm fine up here, Draco," she says lightly.

He rolls his eyes. "Whatever." Why he's listening to a fourth-year Ravenclaw girl, he doesn't know.

"Besides, it's a lovely afternoon, and I want to see it."

He looks up at the sky. It's not a particularly nice day. Not sunny, not cloudy, not warm nor cool, not windy but not without a breeze. "You could see it perfectly well from the ground."

Luna shrugs. "If it'll make you so happy," she starts, and goes to climb down. But the branch sways, and then she's catapulted towards the ground.

She stops falling abruptly two feet off the forest floor, landing on a cushion of air. She smiles at Draco as she gets up. "Wandless magic," she says. "Impressive."

"I told you you'd break your neck," he scowls in answer.

"But I didn't." She kisses his cheek, grabs his hand, and starts skipping off towards the lake, dragging him with her.
