A\N: It's mah birthday ya'll, so here's an update :D

DISCLAIMER: I don't own the show. If I did, I would've turned the whole Team into cats and adopted them :3

"How long do you think it'll take for Artemis to figure it out?"

"With all the hints I'm dropping, she'll get it soon."

"I dunno," Life's brows scrunched together, a thoughtful look on her face before she bounced her shoulders. "I think she's never gonna find out about it." She commented, typing away on her phone as her body rose up and down.

Dick took a breath, not halting in his push ups. "Artemis is pretty smart. She'll figure out it's me." A smirk curled the corners of his lips upwards, and he continued pumping his arms up and down as he added, "unlike some people who cheated in figuring out my identity."

The girl lying atop his back rolled her eyes, releasing an unimpressed snort. "I did not cheat."

"You ripped off my mask. How is that not cheating?"

"Hey, I was pretty distraught at that time."

"Then you should've been traught. Way traught, like Artemis got when she took down the Reds."

Life rolled her eyes again, unamused as her fingers paused in typing. "You really need to stop butchering the English language," she chided, the Romani below her let out his signature laugh, not deterring in his work out.

As he continued in bringing his torso up and down, Life's gaze shifted around the room, observing the number of athletic equipment scattered around. Her eyes lingered over the trapeze placed away in the near corner of the enormous room, before a soft sigh escaped her lips and she let her head fall back lazily against the back of the boy's neck, dropping her phone on her chest, eyelids falling shut as she heard him grunt slightly, not pausing in his work out session.

A few seconds of silence ticked by, the only sound audible being Dick's small pants as he kept count in his head of the push up he was doing. And then suddenly, someone cleared their throat loudly, Life not bothering to open her eyes at all. A strange feeling washed over her when she felt the boy beneath her halt instantly, and she gradually let her eyelids open.

Gray eyes peered upwards, meeting a pair of dark blue irises and Life blinked dumbly, the man before her gazing down, his eyes unblinking and focused solely on her.

She couldn't quite recall who he was as he stood there, his eyes the darkest shade of blue she had ever seen, his jaw well chiseled, hair jet black and if she had been quite older than she was now, she would've regarded him as very good looking in that expensive black three piece suit, crimson tie and strong, broad muscular shoulders.

While she pondered on who he was— and where oh, where had she seen him before— the man kept gazing at her in silence, his brows raising slightly before he acknowledged her presence by simply speaking her name.

"Death," he said flatly, his voice deep and vibrating in Life's ears like a drum; his tone so awfully familiar.

And at that exact moment, realization slapped her across the face with such great force that she abruptly bolted off the boy wonder's back, but tripped over her own bare feet, a curse leaving her mouth as she hit the tiled floor, her phone falling with her as well.

Scrambling to her feet in the blink of an eye, Life stood with her back rigid and shoulders squared. "Ba-Batman!" she stammered, hands curled into fists by her sides, her pose resembling the same one she and her teammates had when they were called into the debriefing room after a mission.

Bruce Wayne stared, the slightest hints of amusement flickering across his face as he eyed her frozen form critically. "Hey, Bruce!" Dick greeted, already on his feet with that familiar teasing smirk on his lips.

"Back home already, huh?" The boy inquired, swiping the sweat from his brow as he casually strolled closer to the dark haired girl who was staring up at the man owlishly.

"Yes," Bruce responded coolly, clasping his hands behind his back, brow arching upwards slightly as his ward slid an arm around Life's shoulders, a dark pink hue blooming in her cheeks as the boy grinned cheekily, leaning against her.

He observed how her toes curled uncomfortably, and Bruce glanced over his protégé. "The meeting got cancelled actually, so I made it back early."

"Whelmed to hear that," Dick smiled, the muscles in his arm tightening as Life attempted to inch away from him, yet he tugged her back. "Don't mind us. We're just working out a little."

"...I see." The man hummed, voice not hiding his amusement before he stooped down, picking up the phone which had miraculously survived its fall and Life blinked once, startled as her phone was held towards her.

She peered upwards through black lashes, curious blue eyes gazing down at her as she bashfully took the device out of Bruce's large hand, pressing it to her chest as his eyes flickered with an unreadable emotion before he took a step back from them, arms behind his back.

"I'll leave you two at it then," he nodded Dick's way, turning around and walking towards the open doors. But he paused in the doorframe, looking thoughtful for a second before he gazed back from over his shoulder. "Make sure you stay for dinner, Life."

Blood rushed back to the said girl's cheeks, and she nodded instantly, gripping the phone in her grasp tightly. "Yes, sir, Batma— I mean!" She quickly caught herself, Dick sniggering in the background as she chose her words more carefully. "Thank you, Mister Wayne!"

Bruce nodded, ignoring how she had quite literally squeaked as he made his way out, calling Alfred's name, the old butler's voice coming a bit far away from them all. The doors clicked shut, Dick watching with unhidden amusement as Life released a heavy sigh, slumping to the floor as she placed her smartphone beside her.

"Well, that went better than I expected." He mused, a grin tugging the ends of his mouth upwards when Life placed a hand over her chest, shaking her head, her pony tail swishing from side to side.

He placed his hands on his knees, bending towards her as she grumbled under her breath, trying to calm her racing heart, face returning to her normal skin tone as she leveled her gaze with him. "You doing okay down there?"

She narrowed her eyes, then socked him in the arm, glaring as he winced, rubbing his abused bicep. "Hey, what was that for!"

"For making me look like an idiot!"

"It's not my fault you got intimidated 'cause of Bru— ow! Will you stop that?!"
