And sure this night will follow a day
And everything you once loved remains unbroken

Birdy – Unbroken

Hermione paced her bedchamber; it had been a fortnight since the poisoning. Two months since she had arrived at Gryffindor Castle. Two months since she had laid eyes on Harry; her future husband and her future King.

She had spoken with Lily; they had decided to move the wedding up, precisely two weeks from now. With everything that had happened, the poisoning, Neville's attack outside of Gryffindor borders, it'd be safer for everybody for the wedding to be moved up. If her wedding could help calm the people's fears, than so be it. Like Harry had said, "you and me equals three."

The castle was getting stranger, quieter, the whispering getting louder. Her friends and ladies in waiting, they were all worried. Luna was waiting for her young prince to arrive. Lavender and Neville were betrothed. Padma and Parvati were waiting for somebody to catch their eyes.

Hermione continues her pacing, her thoughts racing through her mind. She was always a bright young thing.

So concentrated in her thoughts that she didn't hear a knock on her chamber doors. "Hello? Hermione?" Harry calls getting no reply, he opens her doors. "Love?"

Hermione hearing his voice breaks out of her trance. "Harry! What brings you to this side of the castle?" she says a forced teasing in her voice.

Harry's brows furrow, "I wanted to see you, we haven't had time to spend together. Plus with the wedding right around the corner, other nobles will soon start arriving."

She pales a little more at that, "I know, I guess I've been hiding from everybody. Even Luna has commented on it." She wrings her hands a bit, then smoothing out her skirts.

Harry grabs her hands, smoothing them out, rubbing his thumbs across the backs of them. "Let's take a walk. I think some fresh air will do us some good."

She nods, "Yes, let's get some fresh air. Maybe we can find a nice quiet place to relax, maybe talk some more about the wedding."

They walk calmly out of her chambers, both of them the picture of calm. They pass many servants walking, doing their chores. They smile kindly at them. Many of the young girls giggle and titter at them blushingly. Hermione hides her smiles behind her hand when she can. She can already imagine what the day will be like when she is with child and Harry escorts her about the castle.

She couldn't wait.

Harry looks at his betrothed who has a sly smile on her face. He bends closer to her ear, "What are you thinking?" he whispers.

She looks up at him with bright eyes, and she whispers, "I'm imagining what our future looks like."

"And?" His eyes twinkling as well now.

"It looks good." She finishes.

Luna was wondering the castle, skipping and humming. She looked forward to meeting her betrothed. He was to be at the castle in the afternoon. Which would be in a few hours. She paused in her childlike behavior. She leaned against a castle wall, her palms meeting the smooth stone; her chest heaving in anticipation. She breathed deeply; swallowing lungful's of air, a panic attack coming.

If anybody were to happen upon her, they wouldn't know what to do with her. She smoothed the skirts roughly, almost wrinkling them. Her eyes going in and out of focus.

She tried to hide her panic attacks. She was a lady of Ravenclaw house. Nobody saw them as weak. Ladies of Ravenclaw had the best of the best. Ravenclaw women were strong, knowledgeable, and sly, they were fierce. But most of all, they were kind.

Everybody looked to the women of Ravenclaw for wisdom. If anybody saw her having a panic attack, it would ruin the image.

She finally started to calm, she would be fine and everything would be as it should be. She finally collected herself and resumed her skipping about the castle.

Unbeknownst to Luna, a pair of dark grey eyes had seen her. They tracked her movements. Saw her smoothing her skirts, palming the smooth stone. Saw the fear in her eyes. Then saw her collect herself and resume her childlike behavior.

Draco had seen the ethereal creature that was supposed to be his wife and was enchanted.

He had never been so enthralled by a woman before. Of course he had seen many a beautiful woman before, even laid with some of them. But this woman was different. She was pureness and angelic.

Draco wanted very much to ask her many a things. Draco could imagine the life he would lead with her. One of laughter and heartache. He knew they would break each other's hearts. He didn't think he'd like who he was supposed to marry.

Many others didn't like their betrothed.

He was lucky his father had chosen her. Maybe his marriage wouldn't be so bad.

Well, until after the consummation. Then he had to fulfill the task he was given. He didn't like to think about it. He wished he could avoid it.

He bumped into somebody who smelled like sunshine. He scrambled away from the other person, he looked down into the most blue eyes he had ever seen. It was his betrothed!

Her eyes widened even more if possible, "Hello," she says calmly.

"He-hello," he stammers. He coughs, "Hello, you must be Luna. My betrothed." He lifts her hand and kisses the back of it.

She lifts an eyebrow delicately, she pulls her hand away, "I may be your betrothed, but I am not yours to manhandle. Lets walk." She walks away at a calm pace.

He smiles slightly, wholly intrigued by her reaction.

"I believed you weren't due until later on today. How were your travels?" She says so quietly he had to bend down to hear her.

"They were fine. It was a quiet morning. And yours? How was your morning?" he asks civilly.

She stops in the middle of the hall, "This is strange," she says plainly. She looks at him with wide suspicious eyes, "Why weren't you announced?"

"I asked them not to. King James approved. I didn't want to be announced. So I wasn't."

She looks at him in wonder, "You are a strange man Draco Malfoy, but no stranger than I." And with her final words, she walks away.

Draco looks at her in wonder, he calls out, "It was a pleasure meeting you my wife!"

Luna Lovegood paused, but did not look back.

Draco chuckled good-naturedly. He decided he would enjoy his life with his future wife.
