[ Owl-Tim, Owl-Damian's eight birthday]

Damian grinned as the large cake was brought into the dinner hall. It was large, with at least ten layers, a bunch of frosting and on the very top was the number eight. Looking over at Tim excitedly Damian pulled at his hand.

Tim sat there still in shock shaking every few minutes. Damian didn't understand. It had been three whole days since the Drakes had been killed so why was Tim still upset about it? They had more important things to do like celebrate Damian's birthday!

"Happy Birthday, Damian!" The servants and slaves cheered him as he blew out the candle.

"I want a big piece!" Damian said as they cut it. "I want two big pieces, one for me and one for Tim."

They placed the pieces in front of them. Damian ate his happily, well Tim poked his with a fork until it was nothing but a pile of crumbs. After that the servants brought in a mound of gifts of all sizes. They were stacked up in front of him making Damian's eyes light up with happiness.

"Look, Tim! Look at what I got!" Damian shouted grabbing his hand yanking the older boy with him to the gifts. "I wander what's in this one?"

As Damian tore apart the gifts, tossing the paper here and there, Tim stood there in another world just staring out into nothingness. After twenty minutes of hearing Damian going through the boxes, bags and the ripping of paper did Tim notice that he had been joined by Jason and Dick who watched on as well.

Damian noticed them too and waved his hands at the boxes of toys. "Richard, Jason, get my toys out of their boxes."

They did it in an instant, Tim noticed. Almost automatic to obey the eight year old's order. They sat down together opening the toys and setting them aside before moving onto the next on. Tim finally looked around taking in the place for the first time since he had gotten there and noticed the fake smiles and the fear they all held while praising Damian.

Blinking Tim looked at Damian before feeling a pang in his heart. Damian was smiling happily and talking to some of the people truly believing that they cared for him. That they loved him but they were afraid of him. Scared of upsetting the youngest son of Owlman, their fear clear in their eyes.

Damian bounded up to one of the maids who had given him a present and he told her that he loved it. Her eyes showed fear and she was shaking as she praised him and said that he deserved it before adding more praises that did not exist but Damian believed them.

"Damian." Tim said before he could stop himself and everyone looked at him in shock including Dick and Jason who froze from their task but Tim stood up a little straighter before repeating a little louder. "Damian?"

Walking over with a toy clutched in his hands Damian looked up at him. "Yes, Tim?"

"Um," Tim bilked before he shook his head and looked at the little boy. "When you're done opening your gifts… would you like to play a game?"

The toys went flying from Damian's little hands and soon Tim found himself being tackled to the floor and nearly knocked himself out as his head bumped the floor.

"Let's play now!" Damian said quickly before running out the doors. "Stay there, I'll be right back!"

Tim sat up before looking at the others. Both Dick and Jason shrugged before continuing to open the gifts. Tim decided to join them. Taking a seat next to Jason he picked up a car before tearing off the box that surrounded it. As he did he could feel their gazes on him and their guilt.

Before long Dick looked at him with watery eyes. "I'm sorry… I'm sorry that we had to kill them…"

Tim looked between them before down at the toy before looking back up at them. "I know you are and it's not like you had a choice. Everyone knows that what Owlman says goes."

"We tried to make it painless as possible." Jason offered eyes cast down.

"Thank you." Tim nodded before grabbing another gift. "So, today is Damian's birthday?"

"Yes." Dick sighed. "Owlman throws him one these parties but he never comes to them. However I think Damian likes the gifts."

"I would too if I was young and got a mountains of presents."

"How come your not mad at Damian?" Jason suddenly asked, taking Dick by surprise. "It was on Damian's orders to kill your parents…. Yet you don't even look like your upset with him."

"I'm not."

Both the older boys shared looks of confusion. "Why?"

Letting out a deep breath Tim sighed. "Damian doesn't know better. He's just a little boy who wants attention and someone to play with… Right now he's walking around smiling, laughing and thanking people believing that they truly love and care about him, but the sad truth is that no one cares. Their just afraid."

"Yeah, because that little boy can call on anyone all day, all night all year and have you killed without a second thought." Jason snorted. "Damian can have anyone ripped from your loved ones, he can command you around like a dog and force you to do anything he pleases."

"Jason…" Dick sighed looking at him. "Calm down."

"Shut up." Jason hissed as he ripped opened the next gift. "We're nothing but toys to him and once we're broken he'll toss us away or lock us in our cages."

"Damian's in a crueler cage than us." Tim said softly looking up to the ceiling. "After all who could love a child like that?"

"No one." Dick said but then paused. "No that's not true… I… I might love Damian a little bit."

"Maybe." Jason added tossing a paper into a pile. "A little."

"I love Damian." Tim said simply with a smile. "And I forgive him for ending my life."

Outside the doors Damian stood there in shock.

"You say that now," Jason said huffing as he grabbed another toy. "Just wait until next week when you go through training and it's only going to get worse the older Damian gets. He already treats us like pets, so imagine what he's going to treat us like when he's older. When he becomes the next Owlman and rules Earth. All of us are nothing but tools and when they get tired of us they'll get rid of us like it's nothing."

"Maybe Damian will be different." Dick shrugged. "He's still young."

"You act like you don't remember what happened this morning?" Jason hissed. "Playing hangman with actual people?"

"He doesn't know it's wrong." Tim said folding his arms. "If we explain to him-"

"We're not allowed!" Dick reached and turned to hit Jason. "And if you so much as try Thomas will have your head."

Jason struck back Dick across the face but his hit left a redder mark. "Snap out of your bad mood, Dick! I know you're upset about the late night visits you've been getting but get over it! I freaking did!"

They started to argue yelling and hitting each other. They rolled around in the pile of wrappers and papers as they tried to get in as many hits as they could. Tim had watched the whole exchanged and stood back the second they had hit each other and stood back watching.

As he did he turned to see Damian walking into the room. It didn't take him long to figure out that the small boy had heard their conversation. As the child stood to watch the fight a smile speared on his face enjoying the fight between them and looked up at Tim wanting him to enjoy the fight as well.

Tim blinked at him. "Isn't it sad when brothers fight, Damian?"

The smile faded and Damian looked back at the scene. Tim did like them fighting? Well, than Damian didn't want them to fight. Tim said it was sad for brothers to fight, so it must be true. After all Tim is nice and when Damian met him Tim was very truthful so, if this was sad…

"Enough!" Damian shouted.

The older boys stopped fighting.

Damian smiled before looking at Tim and grinned when the older boy smiled at him and nodded.

Later that night Damian walked up to Tim wrapping his arms around the older boy's waist ad hide his face in Tim's shirt sniffling. Shocked Tim hugged him back laying his head on top of Damian's trying bring comfort to the small boy.

"What's wrong, Damian?" Tim asked.

"…" Damian mumbled something that was drowned out by Tim's shirt.

"I can't hear you, Damian."

"… I'm… I'm sorry," Damian mumbled pulling back a little looking up at him with sad eyes. "I made you sad, didn't I?"

"It wasn't your fault."

"What?"

"You don't understand what it's like to lose someone like I did." Tim looked over at the a window. "You don't know what it's like to live like us, all you see is fun and happy times… Maybe you're lucky that you don't know because it's a terrible feeling to live in fear but there is one thing I noticed about being alone in it is."

"What is that?"

"I don't have to fear for other people."

[Bat Tim]

Tim wondered around the base with Edward. It seemed safe enough as long as he didn't go too far off than Other Kon wouldn't come out of nowhere and kill him. So instead he asked questions about things but carefully. After all even if this world's Edward was not a Riddler it didn't mean he was less intelligent.

After getting a tour or what they were willing to show him, they ended up in a sort of meeting room. It was simple with a large round table, with all kinds of chairs pulled up to it. Scanning the room he paused seeing something on the right side of the room.

Curious of what it was Tim moved towards it when it slipped away. Eyes widened slightly he ran after the shadow ignoring Edward's shouts to stop. The shadow was fast but Tim was trained by his own shadow back home. Twists and turns it was easy to keep up until it seemed the shadow decided to test him.

With a smile Tim went after him. Another twist and trick of the shadows and when the figure looks like it's going right it really went left! Picking up his speed Tim leaped over the open trap door that normal people would fall through instead a simple flip was all that was needed.

A quick bust of speed was enough to close that one second gap. The shadow turned right and then a left, up a wall and down a hall. Tim licked his lips before pushing up his energy to keep up. They went so many places that Tim was hoping he would remember the way back.

The shadow suddenly leap into to air towards a ledge. Tim jumped too knowing he could make it. When he landed thought the side broke. He cried out and grabbed onto the broke side. The sharp edged poked his hands and cut them. Crying out again he tried to pull himself up when suddenly it crumbled.

Tim let out a scream as he fell down. Twisting around he saw the ground but it swirled thanks to him just being knocked into another world. Tim knew he was going to hit the ground and hit hard and probably break something and the shadow was almost gone.

Suddenly a strong arm wrapped around his waist and Tim let out a hack as he was yanked up and soon he found himself on the ledge and pressed against a strong body, and that arm was still around him. Sighing he relaxed against the other Bruce and let out a relived sigh.

A gruff hand patted his head as if never doing so before.. "An Owl or a Bat?"

"Bats of course."

Batman nodded.

[Bat-Damian]

Damian had been asleep sitting on the couch for a couple of hours. He woke up suddenly and turned to his right seeing Drake sitting right there next to him only two inches away from him. Jumping back Damain stood up suddenly.

"What are you doing?!"

"I was waiting."

"For what?!"

"For you to wake up."

"...Were you watching me?!"

"Yes."

Damian stared at him with a scowl before rushing out of the room. He didn't hear anything behind him so he assumed that Drake had stayed behind. Going into the kitchen he paused remembering that he had to walk Titus. Turning around Damian almost ran into someone.

?!

How in the world did Drake following him without being noticed?!

To Renx27: Thank you. 8D I'm trying to make him like what a little boy would be like if he lived in a world where killing was okay. I'm not really good at. Owl Damian is going to find Bat-Tim soon. Or is it something more. TO be honest I don't know where I'm going with this... I lost my thoughts on what was going to happen.

To OptimisticEmotion: I'm hoping something happens soon because I need to be inspired. ;ate;y I think I've been inspired and than I open a Word Doc to write and than get shot down suddenly.

To L. VanDattae: Kon will come back, since I already added into the story and I want him to have an important role. Lol that line makes me laugh too. 8D

To Luzith: Creepy-bad or creepy-good? lol

To roseangel013: Here's an update I hope you enjoy it.
