I don't own Naruto but I do own all original characters in this story.

Travelling outside into the village for the first time was interesting she supposed, everything was much more lively than it was in the ANBU barracks. Nestled in the crook of her father's arm, she stared out at the passenger villagers with intrigued wine colored eyes.

Tashiba could have walked alongside her father but at her height that wouldn't have been nearly as fun and extremely inconvenient. Not to mention she preferred to be able to stare down at other people, it was much more comfortable.

She wasn't sure if this friendly coup was instantaneous or planned but before leaving Ibiki had told her that they were going to be meeting some of his associates - or his boyfriends as Anko giggled behind his back - and once he had told her their names Tashiba couldn't help but be intrigued.

Meeting Yamanaka Inoichi and Nara Shikaku - who both had ties to the T&I branch of ANBU - meant meeting the Akimichi and their children.

Who she wasn't invested in as much as she was their parents.

Now despite bearing an interest in the rookie nine - how couldn't she when she was in their age group - she didn't want to associate with them until it was absolutely necessary to do so. Besides she was too old and probably too mature for them to handle or get along with.

But regardless she would be sent off into the presence of the children in an attempt to give her a chance to make friends who weren't grown adults.

Or maybe it was to get her away from her adult friends - Genma and Anko - to cleanse their corrupting presences from her mind. Although if her father was going by that logic it was far too late, she had already taken a shine to them and her older mind couldn't be coerced that easily.

Either way she wasn't very excited to meet their children so much as them.

Done with her observations Tashiba gave a tiny huff and placed her face in the crook of her father's neck, watching from her little enclave as they watched past the many staring faces of the civilians.

She didn't mind being gawked at as long as she was getting something from her own observations but since she already collected what she needed to at this time, there was no reason to let them keep ogling her.

A single tap to her back from her father let her know they were out of the public eye and had reached their destination.

Gazing into the entrance to the Nara compound she idly wondered if she would see some deer roaming their land as they walked through, she had heard enough about them being deer loving people in the manga and she had some expectations. Raising her head as a Nara came and met them inside she stared at the trio of men standing on a porch and before she knew it they were standing in front of them.

For a minute no one said anything as they stared at each other so Tashiba thought it best to break the silence first.

"Hi." She said offering a small wave to the three before a small chuckle came from the blond.

"Well hello there Tashiba-chan," Inoichi greeted warmly with amused blue eyes. "I've certainly heard a lot about the little girl who intimidated two of my clansmen."

Mind flashing back to the two ANBU she had messed with in the hallway she blinked, keeping her features bland.

"I shared my donuts with them as compensation." She told him, signing as she spoke to make sure there were no misunderstandings. "They were very good donuts."

Choza cracked an amused smile. "What kind were they?"

"Sprinkles and glaze, the very best."

"Very high quality." Choza agreed and Tashiba nodded with a serious look on her face, which caused Choza to grin even wider.

"Well let's get this show on the road." Inoichi said with a clap of his hands as they were led inside and Tashiba took her time looking around. "Welcome to the Nara lands - although I guess it should be Shikaku who says that."

Switching her gaze to stare at the ponytailed genius, Tashiba wasn't surprised to see dark eyes looking back at her in consideration.

"You had it covered." The man said with a wave of his hand as he looked forward. "Not to mention that you're better at that stuff than me."

Looking entertained Inoichi cocked an eyebrow.

"At what stuff?" The blond asked. "Being nice?"

Shikaku nodded decidedly.

"Yes, that."

Looking around Tashiba spied all of the identical looking people and she was mildly discerned about how that was possible. Back in her old world families did share similar appearances but there were always deviations. But it seemed that the Nara all had dark hair, dark eyes, and sharp features, it was odd.

Blinking as she heard the sound of a young girl giggling before giving a shout of "daddy!" the pink haired girl turned to face the noise and lo' and behold, there stood Yamanaka Ino.

It's been so long since I've last updated this story! School is really hectic and college is a bitch ha ha! Anyways I'm finally getting back onto the old fanfiction writing horse so stay tuned! Please continue to be patient with me, I have a lot of fanfics that I have to edit the chapters of before I can add a new chapter. Anyways I hope people are still interested in this fanfiction because I'm still interested in it.

Until next time.

Please review it's inspiration for writing a new chapter!

Also what are some predictions you guys have when Tashiba and Sakura meet? Because that is her cousin. Also what about when Tashiba and her own mother meet because she's not dead lol.
