Light
The ashes burning bright with embers. The sparks ignite into hungry flames. A thousand strings of fire hanging from my soul and strung to every branch in this pitch-black place.
I hear your voice beside me, feel your breath, pounding heartbeats.
You turn your head, your trickling tears reflecting the glowing flickers. "There's too much to say, too little time. Too late."
I feel the earth burning, violent trembling in fury and dread.
"Don't worry. I'm staring into death..."
A crash, an explosion, an array of gold and crimson.
"...But all I see is light."
