Percy gasped, opening his bright sea green eyes. Choking he turned to the side and coughed out his spittle from the salt water inhalation the water coming out of his lungs harshly. Where was he...? He thought dizzily looking around. His head hurt horribly and he was incredibly thirsty. Wait, the water.

His green eyes widened as he looked up at saw a pair of legs before him, his eyes focusing on the strange things. Testing to make sure he was not dreaming, he raised his right leg and gasped as he saw the foot at the end. He heard a chuckling as looked around to see Grover. He looked down ashamed and Grover reached out and took him by his hand. Percy looked up, his face like a dejected child, and Grover smiled. "You are in so much trouble your highness."

Percy smiled wryly and with Grover's help he stood up. He gave a grin at the sight of his feet in the water. Shakily he stepped over the rocks and noticed a weird fabric on his new legs. It was torn but it took the place of his tail but stopped midway. Was this cloth? He wondered curiosity inside of him sparking.

Percy made his way to the golden shore and he looked at Grover as he set foot on the wet sand. So this was the shore he thought with wonder. He glanced around, embracing everything he could in that moment when he heard a barking.

Glancing to his left he saw a bundle of black running towards him.

Quickly he climbed a nearby rock, over of the dog's reach and heard a voice yelling, "Mrs. OLeary!"

The sea prince heard a splash and glanced to where Grover had previously been. In his place was a ripple of water. Of course he couldn't be seen. That would blow the cover of the entire mer race. His attention focusing back to reality, the creature licked at his face and he grinned at the silly creature. That is when he saw a boy with shaggy black hair and dark eyes come around the corner of the rocks. Percy's green eyes widened at the new comer. He had not seen this human before. The new comer hadn't seemed to notice him until he got closer where his dark eyes widened. A red tint appeared in his cheeks and the boy got closer in which Percy gave a smile.

"Who are you?" Questioned the dark haired boy.

Percy opened his mouth to speak when he heard a girl's voice call out, "Nico!"

A pretty girl with brown hair in a braid came jogging to where the two boys where.

"Bianca, look."

Bianca gave Percy a once over look at then took in the washed up wreckage.

"Did you come from the sea?" She asked.

Percy nodded.

"Were you in a ship wreck?"

Percy decided that would be the best alibi to go with for now and nodded.

"Would you like to come with us...?"

Percy nodded once again.

"Here Nico let us help him. He must be dehydrated from being in the water."

Percy got off the rock unsteadily and stood and looked up at the two teenagers. Both of them had dark scarlet blushes on their face and Percy looked down. He did not see anything wrong, he was wearing clothes well shorts at least.

Looking back up the taller boy stumbled and Bianca came to his aid. She took him, her shoulders under his arm and Nico did the same as they led him from the beach to the large structure on top of the cliff.

What he did know was that he had a month to steal this crown, and that is exactly what he intended to do.

The dark haired teen looked at himself in the mirror. He was dressed in what the folk here called a tunic and pants with a belt that looked more like a sash. Percy had newly trimmed his instead of it being long and shaggy. It now came to his neck and was unruly, parts of it sticking up. He pursed his lips not sure how he felt about the look. It made his features stand out more and the way his green eyes popped made him even more easy on the eyes.

A knock came from the door and Percy turned around from the mirror and they called it. A red headed girl entered, wearing a black and white dress and said looking at him with curious eyes. "Dinner is waiting sir."

He nodded and smiled at her. She looked taken aback and led him to a dining hall. She opened the two massive doors, and he awkwardly stood there. Cautiously he walked in and looked around. Large paintings hung on the wall along with a giant shiny thing hanging from the ceiling. He lowered his eyes and they met with a pair of dark ones that quickly looked away.

The servant, named Rachel, led him to his seat besides Nico and some man he did not recognize but he had a nasty scar across his face. Percy noticed that there was no chatter between anyone and they all where staring at him. Looking at each of the he noticed that across from him was an empty seat. A woman came into the room just then and Percy's attention focused on her.

She had curly brown hair, and blue eyes that when focused in the light seemed to change. She was carrying two trays and set them at the edge of the table. Looking up her eyes focused on Percy. Her eyes widened and Percy looked puzzled at her. Why did she seem familiar?

"Sally if you would-" Said a woman appearing from behind her.

Percy's eyes widened and he stood up from his seat, the chair screeching as he did.

"Boy just what are you doing?" Said a hard voice.

His eyes leaving his mother for a moment focused on a woman with black hair and stormy gray eyes. He opened his mouth but no sound came out. He pursed his lips before looking to his mother who barely shook her head. He sighed and sat down and gave a small apologetic look to the other woman.

"Queen Athena." Said the guy with scar.

Percy froze.

Queen Athena as in... Oh gods. He thought.

This would be more difficult than it seemed.

As the queen sat down at her place at the head of the table a girl entered the room. She had her blonde, curly hair pulled up into a bun and was wearing a blue dress though she did not seem to happy about it. Her grey eyes were on Queen Athena as she spoke in a light but hard tone. "Mother what is the meaning of this?"

"We have a guest." Stated the Queen simply.

"If it is another suitor mother you can send him away-"

Athena cut her off and motioned for Percy to stand. The dark haired teen awkwardly stood up from his seat, and her beautiful gray eyes cut over to him. They widened with shock as she said, "It is you."

Percy smiled and looked around in a confused manner, he could not blow his cover.

"You are the one who saved me. The one who was singing to me!" She said an excited light lighting in her eyes.

Percy's heart twinged with different emotions as she looked at him with excitement, but he instead turned his gaze to look to Queen Athena who appeared to be annoyed. "Annabeth that is enough. He can not talk, let alone sing."

Annabeth looked at him this time confused, "But..."

"Sit down, now." Commanded the Queen and so Annabeth did.

Dinner went on with tension between the group as Percy's only focus was his mother. After dinner was over, everyone was excused and Percy was led to his room. It was dark outside, he saw from his window. A knock on his door had him turn around, and go to the door. Opening it there stood Sally, his mother. Tears swam in her eyes as Percy wrapped his arms around her. She cried into his chest and he rubbed her back comfortingly.

"Percy... I can not believe it is you." She said pulling away, her hands on his shoulders. He stood at least a foot taller than her.

"Oh you look just like your dad, Percy." She said with a watery smile.

Percy smiled, tears in his own eyes. He had finally found his mom.

"I want you to know, I-I never wanted to leave you. I have always hated that I had to leave you. Oh it must have been so hard growing up with just your father. I am so sorry sweetheart." She said tears streaking down her face.

Percy brushed away her tears and held her, a few rogue tears falling from his face. It was as if some aching hole in his heart was rebuilt and just by his mother. A part of him still felt empty but it was lesser. He sighed and took her features in. She was beautiful even with gray hairs,he could see why his father had had her as a love.

"Why aren't you saying anything?" She asked looking up at him.

He glanced down the hall and pulled her into the room. Quickly he wrote everything down on a piece of paper and showed her. As soon as she was done she gave a choked sob but she looked at him with a scrutinizing gaze.

"You are a man now Percy." She stated simply, a proud smile but weak smile on her face.

"I can not tell you how proud I am of you."

Suddenly her face crumpled like a wall and she brought a hand to her mouth. Percy, alarmed, held her close and she wept.

"I should have been there for you. I am so sorry Perseus, will you please forgive me."

He nodded and pulled away with a smile.

How could he not forgive her? It was not her fault in the first place, but of the stupid mortal rule set by the gods. A hatred burned inside of him as the thought occurred to him and he gave a frustrated sigh. He wished he could talk, to soothe her cries.

"I have to go." She said suddenly. She wiped her eyes and smiled.

"It is good to see you... my son." She said the last words softly, her blue eyes glittering.

She left the room without another word and Percy sat on the edge of his bed, his hands clasped together. Tears swam in his eyes and suddenly it was as if a a dam had broke. Tears flooded down his face and he cried silently, tears dropping down to the floor one after the other. He cried silently and after a while stifled his tears and laid on the bed, tired out. Today had been a big day. Stripping off his clothes he threw them onto the floor leaving on just the boxers as the humans called it.

Percy cuddled into the pillow, and laid under the covers as he fell asleep. Day one had passed and he knew nothing of this place. Tomorrow his research would begin. He glanced to the electronic device on his bedside and read the numbers, 11:11 P.M. He turned on his side and fell asleep, gently at first then all at once.

Meanwhile deep in the ocean Ursula, the sea witch, smiled deviously. She was contemplating her plan as she watched Percy through her orb. She chuckled darkly at the thought. Ariel was only the beginning, next she would have Percy in her grasp and she would take over not only Triton's throne but also Poseidon's. She would be a goddess, and nothing was going to stop her from achieving that.

Not even the prince of the sea.

Percy Jackson.
