I first wrote this story when I was in high school. It's been more than eight years since I've looked at this! However, I've recently received some inspirational reviews and decided to read it all over again and make some updates. I don't want to lose the teen vibe I had when I originally wrote this fic—so I'll be making some very minor changes. I hope you all enjoy this story just the same!
All updated chapters will have the updated date at the top of each chapter. If you do not see the update date, I have not updated that chapter yet. Thank you!

Chapter 1:
Dear Diary,
You won't possibly believe what happened to me today! You remember my boss Tony? Well, he came to me and told me that I was finally ready for a change. THAT'S RIGHT! I am finally getting my FIRST undercover job. Can you believe it? I have waited more than a year for this opportunity and I am beyond excited. I couldn't possibly get through this day without writing this down.
As always, it is a pleasure filling you in Diary! These will be the memories I will always cherish.
-Rin T.
The young woman read over her work one last time and sighed in excitement. She brushed her dark hair out of her eyes and looked towards her computer screen. She couldn't believe it was finally happening. Rin has been a cop for a few years and always dropped settle hints to her boss that she wanted to try undercover work. She never imagined the opportunity would come so quickly. Tony came out of nowhere with his news. What more could she ask for? This was everything she always wanted.
"Hey Tomeo, get in here." Tony's familiar raspy voiced yelled from his office. Rin quickly jumped up from her chair and made her way towards the office. She sat down, smiled, stood back up, and bowed. "Sorry sir. I didn't mean to be so informal; I'm just so excited."
Tony laughed, "Tomeo… Rin… we've been friends for years. You know I don't mind." Rin nodded and sat back into the chair. She pulled it closer to his desk and smiled excitedly. "Tomeo, I need to be honest with you. I'm still not 100% comfortable allowing you to go undercover…" He could see the disappointment in her eyes. "…HOWEVER" he continued, "my boss is for it and told me to give you the job. Now, I'm going to tell you… this ain't going to be easy. I'm worried."
"Sir, it's nothing I can't handle!" Rin smiled.
/It's not that I don't think you can do it, Rin. I'm just afraid of what might happen to you/ Tony thought before clearing his throat and giving a slight nod. He held up a green folder and slowly pushed it towards Rin. "If you read all the information in this folder, you should have a good understanding. You have 24 hours to decide if you'd like to move forward. If so, then you HAVE to be ready."
"I understand and believe me Tony, you can count on me." Rin said, giving him one last smile.
"TAXI!"
A yellow cab pulled towards Rin and she quickly climbed inside. She only left the office for 5 minutes and as soon as she stepped outside it started to rain. "7th Street, near Brook's Book Store, please." Rin instructed the driver as she squeezed some of the water out of her hair.
A tall man with a long silver ponytail stood under an umbrella at the end of 7th Street. He looked at his watch and mumbled under his breath. How long had it been? An hour? His patience was beginning to wear off and that was never a good sign. "Jaken, where the hell are you?" He mumbled, seconds later, as short man wearing all green rain coat ran towards him.
"I am so sorry sir." The man said bowing.
"Did you get it Jaken?"
"Yes sir h-here it is," Jaken pulled out a long thin suitcase and opened it. A silver gun with crystals imbedded into the handle glittered at him. The silver haired man glared at the short man as he quickly closed the suitcase and bowed.
"It's very rare, sir. It is rumored to have a firing force so powerful that can go through at least five people at once." Jaken smiled.
"If I didn't know this information, do you think I would have asked for it?" The man questioned, sticking the box inside his coat. Jaken was about to bow again but the man turned on his heels and walked away.
"BUTWHYAGROUPOFKILLERS? WHATIFTHEYKILLMEORSOMETHINGSTRANGE? WHYISN'TTHEREANYGI RLSINTHIS? DON'TYOUTHINKIT'SSTRANGE?" Rin yelled as she stomped into Tony's office the next morning.
Tony, hardly understanding a word she said, but assumed it was about her case. He knew she would have a fit the moment she read the contents of the folder. "Well, you said you could handle anything…" Tony smirked, cutting the young woman off.
/True/ Rin thought as she took a moment to compose herself. She slowly sat into a chair and stared at Tony. "Just to make sure I'm 100% clear, you expect me to pretend to be an outlaw. I'm supposed to find our town's deadliest criminals who have a record of smuggling rare guns. In addition to that, allegedly killed a top criminal justice official, a CEO of a major manufacturing company, in addition to other murders! Damn it Tony, that's certainly a FIRST undercover job. If I'm going to do it, do it big eh?"
"Are you dropping out?" Tony inquired, giving her his most serious stare. "You do understand you must find get close to the three men in the folder, Naraku, Sesshoumaru, and Jaken."
Rin could see the challenge in his eyes, "No, I'm not dropping out! I can do this. Besides, during my mental freak out, I took the liberty of dressing for the part." Rin smirked, clinging her long dark coat closer to her body.
Tony raised an eyebrow, "Are you going to show me what you're wearing?"
"NO!" Rin blushed, "I don't mind showing it to a bunch of strangers who don't know a thing about me. It's part of the act. But I've known you for year and the last thing I need in my place of employment is the memory of my boss seeing what I have under my clothes. Anyway, I have go." Rin said, walking out the door.
"YOU BETTER BE CAREFUL TOMEO!" Tony yelled.
Rin's head popped back in the doorway and she gave him a little wink. "Don't worry, acting was a minor of mine back in college."
