So...Not dead! Rant at the end... I own nothing but my and the idea...

To say he was reeling would be an understatement, he felt like everything he had known for the past six years was a lie and knowing the truth of it only made it worst. Ryohei sat next to his sister as she silently shed tears as the memorial he himself had helped design was reviled. A memorial that served only to remind him and the rest of the guardians of their guilt. Well most of us anyway He thought as he glanced over at the Storm and Lightning guardians as they tried to keep their faces natural and their bodies from running through the manner in search of the girl they had never gave up on.

Ryohei sighed as he remembered the conversation and revolution that his Boss had dropped on them not an hour ago…

"What do you mean 'she's alive', who's alive?" He had asked as the room went silent and they all stared at Tsuna as he sighed and sat down behind his desk, putting his head in his hands. Ryohei remembered the feeling of dread mixed with hope and guilt that had begun to grow at the pit in his stomach when he heard the news of the plane crash double in sizes as Gokudera calmly walked into the room after shutting and locking the door behind him to lean agents the wall next to Lambo.

Tsuna looked up from his hands and met eyes with the five guardians in front of him before letting out a long breath and pulling out the file he had gotten from Squallo what felt like years ago, now a bit bigger as he had been filling it with the information Mukuro had been gathering for him secretly. As he took another deep breath he looked directly at where his Storm and Lightning Guardians where located before speaking.

"A few days ago, Squallo brought me a file containing information pertaining to the crash six years ago." He paused and Lambo sat up straighter in his chair and Gokudera placed a hand on his shoulder to still him. "The folder contained information, that until that point, we did not have. It seems that located about 250km from where the cash sight was, there was a previously unknown cluster of islands, islands that belong to the Hervarar Family, current guest at this manner."

The room as a hole seemed to be holding its breath as they waited for their boss to continue, all except Gokudera, who seemed to be relaxing with every word that came out of the Boss's mouth, something that all in the room know was not a good sing. Unlike most other people, when Hayato was upset or plotting, he would relax and seem calm, but those who know him recognized the calm before the storm so to speak. The calmer the Storm guardian was, the worst the destruction he would leave behind. Lambo for his part seemed to have picked up on his habit as well, though it took him a bit longer to get there and at the moment he was fighting the urge to tell his Boss to get on with it already.

"What does that have to do with "she's alive" herbivore, get on with it!" Hibari practically snarled as he leaned forward close to going over and shaking his useless boss for the information he wanted.

Tsuna sighed as he closed his eyes and continued. "The file also contained information on the plain itself, something that until this point I had foolishly ignored… it seems as if the emergency escape hatch had been opened before the crash or the plain, near if not directly over the Main Island of the Hervarar…"

"Yes so that means that she's most likely alive, right? Wait you just finished a meeting with the Hervarar family didn't you? Did you ask them about it? Did they confirm it? Does that mean they know who and where she is!?" Yamamoto asked as he basically bounced in his seat leaning forward to lean on his knees with his elbows. The room went silent again as Tsuna caught the eyes of all of most of his guardians, ending at Lambo as Gokudera was facing the ground and listening rather than looking at him.

"No…I didn't ask them any of that…" Tsuna began as the tension in the room turned into confusion "However…" he continued before Kyoya could say anything as he had begun to open his mouth and reach for his tonfas. "I did see her."

At this all five of the guardians who had not been in the room tensed and waited for an explanation. "It would seem that Haru did survive the crash, and did make it onto the island of the Hervarar, or Island of Maidens and it's called. It would also seem as if she had made a name for herself with it that family." Tsuna said as he stood looked around the room, dreading what he was going to say next more than anything, but being the Boss, he had found out very early, was hardly ever pleasant let along easy. "But most importantly… it would seem as if she is no longer one of us…"

The whole room went deathly quiet as they all processed what Tsuna had said, Dinno knew it was coming but couldn't help but feel sadden by the fact that something so tragic could be befalling this family. For as old and experienced as they got, to him the Vongola Decimo family would always be that group of middle schoolers running around facing problems much too difficult for them at too young of an age. Reborn was still trying to process how someone who was so full of life could have turned into the woman who had been in the room with them not so long ago. He remembers thinking that of Kyoko and Haru, she was the one more suited for this life, but seeing the change in her he now realized just how well suited for is she would have been, and it saddened him that they had missed their chance to unlock that potential themselves, but not as much as the fact that it had been unlocked in general did.

"Are you saying she's now a threat?" Ryohei asked, not really able to believe it. Yamamoto however seemed to tense as the feelings of familiarity he had gotten from S.S finally clicked.

"S.S… it's her isn't it?" he asked, already knowing the answer. Tsuna just nodded as the rest of the room looked to Yamamoto to explain. "One of the Hervarar guards, the one with short brown hair and the guns on her back, she seemed familiar to me from the moment I saw her, but I couldn't place it…" he said as he glanced around the room, his eyes looking towards his best friend, who was still staring at the ground.

"Well, dose she seem like a threat to you?" Kyoya asked as he himself glared at the ground and tried to process all that was happening. Although he never admitted it to anyone, he was always rather fond of Haru. Much like with Mukuro, she never treated him as anything but a friend, and when he was badly hurt during one of their earliest skirmishes with a competing mafia family, she had risked her life to save his and patched him up literally giving him the shirt of her back. He may not act it, but he was a man of the family, and when one went so far for him, it was only natural he did the same, not that he had ever been given the chance to as Gokudera was always there looking after her.

"In all honesty? All of them do, even the younger ones." Yamamoto said with a sad sigh. He had noticed how the two "children" and "guardians" had done just as much sizing up of the room as the two guards with them as they walked through the manner. It saddened him to think of some so young already use to assessing every possible access of exit or entrance for potential threat.

"Not to surprising actually, the Hervarar family is a known Assassins Family, it only make sense that they would train from a very young age." Lambo said in a calm voice as he leaned back in his chair, surprising most of the people in the room with both his knowledge and calm demeanor. "It also make sense that she's with them… even though they're here as friends, they need all the information they can get about us before and after coming into our territory." He finished as he turned his head up towards the sealing and smiled at it sadly "Of course that's assuming she remembers us… falling form Fifty thousand feet, even into water, is quite the impact… it would explain why she never contacted us…" he finished as he looked around the room again, noticing the looks the others were giving him. "What?"

"You're not surprised? By any of this?" Dinno asked as he looked around the room to make sure he wasn't the only one who was expecting more of a reaction from the young guardian, and judging from the looked on the other's faces, he wasn't.

"By what? That she's alive? No, we've always known she was, you all were the ones who doubted," he said making a few people in the room flinch form the judging under tone they hear in his voice.

"Of her skill? Even less so." He said with a small smile as he met the eyes of those around the room "None of you really knew her did you?" he more said than asked as he shook his head "Haru-ne was not one to take anything we threw at her lying down, or to heart even. She was the strongest person I have ever met, still is, even at that young of an age I know the pain we all put her through, the Boss especially" he said with a nod to Tsuna, who could not hide his flinch at the accusation.

"Sure she didn't have the fighting skills of Bianchi, or the warmth that seems to radiate from Lady Kyoko, but she had a strength that none of you saw… she never ran away from this life, even though nothing really connected her to it." He paused to let that fact sink in, as none of them had ever realized or even thought about that fact except Lambo and Gokudera. "She was always there from me, I-pin and even Lady Kyoko when we needed comfort. Are you all so quick to forget who it was that patched you up fight after fight with a smile on her face and a warm cup of tea to calm your nerves after the rush of adrenalin ended and we all realized how close to death we had been? Did the way she smiled though her pain when one of us was really hurt to make us laugh in comfort to forget our own pain not register with any of you? Or was it just Ni-san and I that saw how strong she was?" he asked as he looked around the room again, the silence answering his questions for them making him laugh much to bitterly for someone his age.

"Well to answer your question Dinno-san, no none of it surprises me, because the Haru-ni I knew would have put whatever pain she was feeling behind her and grown, just like I saw her do so many times before, so the fact that she's probably one of their top family members doesn't surprise me at all, in fact I almost expected it." Lambo finished as he crossed his arms in front of him leaned back in his chair glaring at the room in general as the hand on his shoulder squeezed him in both acknowledgement and agreement of what he said along with comfort for what Gokudera knew he was feeling.

The rest of the room was silent as they all processed what the youngest of them had said, realizing just how true it all was, leaving most of them floored to the fact that they had not seen so much before. Tsuna was again hit with the realization of how little credit he had given Haru for all she had done for him and his Family in the years they had known each other, and all without asking anything in return, or expecting anything for that matter. As he looked up to meet his Lightning guardians glare it also dawned on him how much the little cow boy he use to find so annoying had grown under his Storm Guardians care and he marveled again at his own inability to see the things right in front of him, laughing internally at himself at the irony or it all. I'm so good at reading everyone else, I never take the time to even look at those right in front of me…some Boss I am…

Yamamoto sighed and shook his head to try and clear it of all the revelations and guilt that were building up inside his head as he turned to his Boss. "So, are we going to confront her? Your right of course, she's no longer the girl we knew, none of us are who we were six years ago…" he muttered glancing over at the young Lightning guardian.

"No…"

It was said quietly, but firmly, and as they all turned to look towards the sours, they were all taken aback by how calm Hayato seemed as he met all of their eyes. "No," he repeated pushing himself off the wall and walking towards the door "We should leave her be for now… if she wants to confront us, then she will, but right now is not the time, too many people are here and it would put not only our family's reputation to shame finding out that the girl this whole this is for is alive, but also put at risk our fragile bond with the Hervarar Family. We should leave her be for now… maybe after this is all over we can contact the Hervarar family and ask for audience with her, but for now we should proceed as if nothing has changed." He said with a calm almost natural voice as he unlocked the door nodding to Lambo to fallow him before he turned towards the rest of the family with eyes that reflected just how tormented he really was inside.

"I know it is not my place to ask this…the Boss can decide otherwise, but I ask…" he stopped, meeting Lambo's eye before continuing and staring directly into Tsuna's eyes. "We ask that you let us handle it… we know how important this deal is to the family and would hate to risk it needlessly…" Tsuna felt a sadden-ly familiar chill from his Storm guardian as he met his eyes. But underneath all of the guilt, sadness and self-loathing, he couldn't help but feel pride in how both Gokudera and Lambo were handling the situation. And so he nodded his agreement, causing a sad smile of gratitude to flash over his right hand man's face before he nodded curtly and bowed, Lambo mimicking and falling him out, closing the door firmly behind him, leaving a tense silence behind them.

"So we're really going to act as if this isn't happening?" Yamamoto had asked as both Mukuro and Hibari seemed to deflate and sigh in resignation to the Storm Guardian's decision. Dinno and Reborn met eyes before nodding in understanding, they knew it was for the best to leave this problem to the Guardians and Vongola Boss, they would offer their help if asked, but the choice was up to them in the end.

"Yes, we do nothing… it seems all that we have ever been able to do when it comes to her…" Tsuna had said sadly as he looked over the room one last time before dismissing them all to go get ready for a memorial they all knew was worthless and none really felt up to attending anymore.

Ryohei sighed again as he offered his sister a comforting hug as they walked towards the dining hall the festivities where to be held in. It was going to be difficult to refrain from approaching the small group of Hervarar's he had seen walk in and stand at the back of the room at the beginning of the service. Not as weird as it must have been for her I suppose He though with a small laugh as he watched Ha-no S.S. walk at the back of her group towards her table.

She was dressed in a form fitting red dress that fell all the way to the ground, a slit reaching all the way mid thy, catching the eye of more than one of them many male guest entering the Dinning Hall. All of the Hervarar family seemed to be making quite the impression with their appearance, the one dressed in a sinfully form fitting purple gown with her long silver hair pined up carelessly, leaving a few pieces to fall out of the artful bun on top of her head kept catching his eye, regardless of how often he tried to look away.

Ryohei shook his head as he turned toward the head table where all of the guardians and main family members would be sitting for the dinner before the ball. He had just ended a very rocky relationship with Hana, someone he still considered a good friend and family member, so he didn't need the complication of another woman so soon. But even as he thought that he couldn't help but glance back at the beauty in purple, effectively catching her eye, causing a smile to spread onto her face as she nodded to him in acknowledgement. He smiled and nodded back before quickly joining Kyoya at the head table, causing the man to raise an eyebrow in question as he took a quick drink of the sake placed in front of him, to which he just shook his head and sighed. This was going to be a long night…
