"It was a bright, sunny and dreary afternoon before it all started… Blood curdling screams, loud and blaring police sirens, fire trucks and gunshots can be heard throughout the streets, the woods, from house to house and bodies were seen to be falling out of tall buildings before crashing into hard cold and dirty pavement that was littered with hundreds of corpses and debris.

There was no way that anyone could prepare for this catastrophe in order to avoid the ongoing chaos that mirrored the image of something that could be described as hell on earth. Two teens in particular were stuck right in the middle of this chaos with a goal in mind and that is to make it home alive towards their family and friends. Covered with dirt, grim and blood they ran throughout the streets before eventually taking shelter in a fairly modern two-story house that nestled on the edge of a forest. Around a dozen or so humanoid creatures could be seen following their trail with sounds of growls and snarling coming from their mouth as their eyes hunted them down in order to eat and tear out their flesh.

"Oh no! what do we do!" A petite and beautiful blonde girl with crystal-like blue eyes that were filled to the brim with panic and fear exclaimed as she backed away from the door. Her golden-blonde hair was styled in a stylish short bob cut as she wore a white cheerleading outfit with a monster pumpkin as the mascot placed in the middle of the uniform as purple and orange stripes shot out around the mascot. The expression of panic was plainly written on her face as she started pacing back and forth while hyperventilating as it got even worse as the startled teen trembled at the loud banging that could be heard from the door.

"I don't know, I just... don't know..." Said the other teen with orange hair that was hidden behind a red baseball cap, his green emerald eyes looked to be close to the brink of giving up hope and just letting the swarm of those monstrosities outside take him as he struggled to come up with a plan as they were both exhausted, hungry and without any means to defend themselves against the horrors that were outside.

'BOOM' Sounded the door as pieces of wood could be seen falling on the ground signifying that it was close to being broke down.

"Shit, they're coming!" The boy exclaimed as he also backed away for the door while frantically looking around the dark and barren house for a way out. "Crap, Nazz go find an exit while I cover the front door!" He said to the teen girl who jumped as soon as her name was yelled out.

"Ok, Kevin! Oh man, dude this is bad, we have to check on our parents!"

I know Nazz but we have to focus on making this out alive together, my top priority right now is protecting you, I wouldn't know what to do if something happened to you"

"Kevin… I-i-"Nazz started but was interrupted as a loud crash was her from the window as it broke into hundreds of pieces as a hand could be seen reaching in scrapping its arm against the broken glass and seemingly being unaffected by it as it continued its attempts to climb in.

"Crap, we have to leave!" Yelled Kevin as he grabbed his bike and started running from the window.

"Quick! Through the back door!" Nazz exclaimed as she held open the door anxiously as one infected person after the other rushed inside the house looking for the closest person eat and rip their flesh from off of them.

"Let's hurry Nazz, we're wasting time!" Kevin said as he quickly ran outside.

"Ahh! Kevin, one of them has my leg!" Nazz yelled as she attempted to claw the ground in order to get away from the infected person who was attempting to pull her closer to it with its mouth chomping as it was seemingly anxious to bite off the flesh that was on her body. Nazz in response started to kick the monstrosity in the face in an attempt to make it let go.

"Kevin panicked as he thought of what to do on the spot but was honestly too terrified, confused, and angry which made it hard to even think straight at that moment. He desperately looked around for something to pick up and use as a weapon, but there was nothing around him but a locked shed and an abandoned doghouse. He finally hesitantly looked at his bike and to Nazz, to his bike again one last time for a few seconds before he quickly took a deep breath, picked up his bike and threw it at the humanoid creature that had Nazz's leg which made it successfully let go as it flew back knocking the other monsters down with it.

"Nazz quickly scurried off the ground and ran towards Kevin before hugging him. "Thanks Kevin" Nazz gasped and looked at Kevin in pure shock that he sacrificed his beloved bike for her. A bike that he had since childhood and was given to him by his deceased father, it was also something that caused the downfall of their relationship when they dated a few years back.

"Don't mention it Nazz, now let's go!" Said Kevin as they both ran as far as their legs possibly take them.
