"Fawn!" a voice rang out, "Fawn!" An eerie voice called out to her. She was deep in the forests f Neverland, surrounded by darkness. A small green light was slowly creeping towards her. Suddenly, everything vanished and she was back in her room. It had only been a dream. The voice had been Beck's shaking her awake.

"Wake up! It's time for visiting the bats. Hurry and get dressed!" Beck shouted.

Fawn groaned, "Just five more minutes," She plopped back down on her pillow and pulled the covers over her head. But Beck pulled them right back off.

"Wake up sleepyhead. You can go back to bed after we're finished. I'll be waiting for you in the lobby."

Fawn must have fallen back to sleep, for the next thing she knew, she was being dragged out of bed.

"I've told you three times to get up. The bats are waiting." Beck scolded.

Fawn forced herself to get up. She dressed hurriedly and rushed out the door, but she must have had her eyes closed. She was still wearing her pajama pants!

Nollie giggled, "Nice style, Fawn!"

Fawn looked down, "Oops! Sorry about that!"

"Goodness, Fawn. You could sleep through a jackrabbit migration." Beck said.

"Very funny." Fawn replied.

"We'd best be going now. We're later than usual already," said Beck.

Beck, Fawn, and Nollie flew towards the caves in the Winter Woods. All the bats Fawn knew of lived in these caves or the mines. There were a few caves on the far side of Neverland, but none of the animal talents had ever visited there. It would be too dangerous.

As they flew on, Beck and Nollie picked up a conversation about Lyria, one of the newest story-telling fairies. They were talking so loud, they didn't even hear Vidia coming and almost ran into her.

"Watch it, slowpokes! Can't you give me a little room? Is the sky not big enough for you or something!?" Vidia yelled, "What are you sweets doing up so late anyway? Shouldn't you be in bed like all the other good fairies?"

"I was going to ask the same question of you. What's your excuse?" Fawn asked, crossing her arms.

"I'm not a good fairy, sweetpea, and I was trying to get some beauty sleep, when a little group of creature talents just casually fly by and forget that a resident of Pixie Hollow lives right below them! Maybe you could just zip your lips and get your stupid errand done?" Vidia snapped.

"Sorry, Miss Resident of Pixie Hollow, we didn't mean to bother you, but maybe you could be a little less...snippy," Beck retorted, "And by the way...we're animal talents, not creature talents."

Vidia turned and zoomed off. Fawn, Beck, and Nollie flew off to the caves. As soon as they entered, all the bats came to greet them. A water talent like Rani, or a tinker like Tinker Bell might have heard some scary noises, but this is what Fawn heard:

"Hi, there! We missed you last week! While you were gone three baby bats were born. Want to see them?" said Echo, one of the bats.

"Sure!" Fawn answered in bat.

Fawn flew over to where Echo had flown. Three tiny bats poked their heads out. They chirped and squeaked hello. Fawn laughed. They were so cute!

"Alright, Fawn. I talked with Oscar, and he said everything was going well. We can go now." Beck called.

"Beck, babies! They need more nest material!" Fawn replied.

"Whoops! I forgot to bring some," Then she said in bat, "I'll bring some tomorrow night."

"Tomorrow?!" Fawn shouted, confused.

"That's fine. Be safe!" Echo called after her.

"Bye!" Nollie said.

Beck giggled. "You just said screech in bat language, instead of bye."

And the bats did just that.
