{Eidolon's POV}

"Mmm... Why did I give this up...?" I purred, stretching out on the grass.

We'd walked around all morning, then stopped by Russia Sushi. Mignon concerned us all by not eating much, Shizuo had to force me to eat when I began slowing down, and Simon had been very happy to see us all. Now we were at the park. Basking in the sun with a stomach full of Simon's food sure felt nice...

... Better than it had at Elsworth estate...

I sat up, frowning and shaking my head as concerns for Eve flitted across my mind.

"Eidolon?" Izaya asked.

"Mm... Spending so much time as that dolt left an imprint on my brain. I'm worrying about Eve when I really don't want to." I muttered.

Shizuo frowned, pulling Mignon closer.

I sighed.

He had forgiven me, yes, but not completely. I had tried to stab him, and Mignon had gotten almost-fatally-wounded protecting him... and I think it was a tad obvious I favored Izaya a bit more than I did him. So Shizuo and I had some patching up to do.

I hung my head with a whimper. How was I supposed to do that when he seemed to be avoiding me?!

I blinked as Izaya put an arm around my shoulders, gently squeezing me. "It's only natural. You were completely rewritten as a new person for almost... What, two months? Three? It's bound to leave an imprint on your personality." he said with one of his smirks that wasn't at all derisive. I still wanted to know how the fudge he managed that.

"But it'll certainly be interesting, seeing that lot again without us trying to kill each other." Mignon commented.

"That wasn't the plan? Darn." Shizuo replied playfully, making us all laugh.

"Mm, I may diverge from the plan then." Izaya said, a growl lacing his chuckle.

"No. I... I don't want my kid to grow up without a mom... So..."

We fell silent. Izaya pulled my head onto his shoulder, gently rubbing my temple. Mignon didn't look at anyone, instead focusing on the air about three feet in front of his nose. Shizuo bit his lip, thinking. I sighed, closing my eyes.

A twinge of homesickness ran across my heartstrings, even though I was already home. I grit my teeth, moving to clutch Izaya's jacket. He made a small noise of surprise, shifting under me.

"I really don't want to go back..." I growled, burying my face in my mother-figure. His rather spicy scent took over my senses, making me sigh. I heard Mignon sigh as well. While he'd been chief of security, he hadn't been popular. "They abused Mignon. Watch them when we get there." I said fiercely.

"Alright... Alright..." Izaya soothed.

"If any of them lay a finger on any of you, I'll beat their brains in." Shizuo huffed.

"...?" I was confused by what he meant by any of us. There was just Mignon and me, wasn't there?

"Your baby?" Izaya reminded me with a soft smile, sensing my confusion.

Oh, yeah... I smiled sheepishly.

{Tyrone's POV}

"Calm down, calm down, it's alright! Eve!" I yelled, grabbing onto her shoulders as she screamed.

I don't know what on earth was wrong. But something obviously was.

Eve had been asleep, waves of fatigue rolling off of her. But about five minutes into her nap, she'd begun to fidget. Since she was normally a still sleeper, this was odd, but I'd attributed it to her being pregnant. Then fear and confusion had trickled through the bond, anger lacing it's way through as well. Then she'd begun to thrash, screaming.

I didn't want to shake her, for fear of hurting her or the babies, but she wasn't responding to me...

Steeling myself, I drew my hand back. A loud smack sounded as I backhanded my sister.

Her golden eyes shot open, and she shot up, clinging to me, weeping gibberish.

Unsure of what else to do, I wrapped my arms around her and stroked her hair, shushing her.

OOOOooooOOOOooooOOOO

{Mignon's POV}

I fiddled anxiously with my knife, watching Milady.

She looked briefly up at me and smiled. I rolled my eyes, eager for the plan to get underway. That emo idiot would be back soon.

And then I would have to take his place.

I smirked a bit at that thought. I couldn't wait to finally get in on the action.

"Huh."

I tilted my head, raising one eyebrow for her to go on.

"Eve seems to be rebuilding those walls on her own, or at least attempting to. I may have to help her along. It'd be more convenient for us if those walls stayed up."

Nothing interesting.

I sighed in annoyance.

"Don't worry! After everyone gets settled into routine— a few days or so— you can finally go to work. No more sitting around and waiting, no more groaning and growling... Only a few more days now." Milady soothed.

"Yeah..." I muttered, twirling my knife about.

Milady smiled. "He may be more soft-spoken than you, but if you stay quiet and spacey, you'll look just like him."

"It's not just personality. He drags that goddamn head everywhere like a whiney little baby, he holds everything with his fingertips, and he's always acting like a fucking kicked puppy!"

Milady raised an eyebrow at me. I scowled, not caring that the last item technically fit into the personality-section.

"Well then, you'll have to come up with excuses as to why you're different. Don't worry, Mignon. I'll be right there to help you."

OOOOooooOOOOooooOOOO

{Mignon's POV}

I woke up.

Sitting up in my bed, I stared ahead.

"... Nothing... ever... happened..."

OOOOooooOOOOooooOOOO

A/N: Gomenasai!

I haven't updated in forever! I've had writer's block, and my muse is currently more interested in Attack On Titan and The Devil Is A Part-Timer, and I'm trying to work on my novel, and I have finals coming up!

Anyway, here's a chapter in apology...
