Previously on The Repercussions: (…Flash looked over to the boy from earlier. He was shaking. This couldn't be good. Flash's eyes widened. He didn't know how to deal with seizures!
… Finally he couldn't contain it any longer and he bursts with laughter. "C-C-C-Cujo down!" Danny laughed as he stared at Flash's scared beyond comprehension look.
… Then Flash goes one step further by upsetting Cujo and then treating him like any other dog while he's scared beyond reason. Yep, there was no argument to be made, besides my brother; Flash was my favorite super hero.)
Flash stared at me warily, but I couldn't stop laughing. It felt like years ago when he came to Amity. Now, here he was standing right in front of me and I probably look like a runaway. That wasn't really that far off though, was it? "Hey, Flash!" I greeted as my eyes danced with joy. It really did seem like such a long time ago…
I flew across the night sky chasing after a man who had robbed a bank and covered many of the things inside with a layer of ice. I was extremely thankful that no one got hurt or frozen. The man tugged on his white fur rimmed hood as he ran away from the scene with the sack of money over his shoulder. It was right as I was beginning to worry about how to treat this powered villain, which I obviously couldn't stuff in a thermos, that a red blur shot across the ground.
I had to blink my eyes a few seconds to realize that another super-powered being had arrived. The villain froze as he caught sight of the new arrival in a red suit. Amity Park has apparently gotten some interesting visitors, I thought as I finally caught up to the two of them. "Give it up Captain Cold! You can't win!" The new figure in a red suit yelled at the villain. I blinked a few times as I watched the hero dodge rays of ice from Captain Cold at speeds that could beat most ghosts.
"I will, Flash, the people here do nothing to stop me and they made themselves scarce faster than you could even get here! These scaredy-cats are the perfect victims for me to achieve everything I ever wanted and you can't stay here forever!" He shouted back at Flash. I growled. Sure they ran, but they have been living with ghost battles as a daily occurrence for a year now, so they know the consequences of staying near a villain better than most.
So, as my anger grew the temperature dropped as well, and frost started to creep over the environment. "Maybe they knew better than to stick around, Mr. I-can't-dress myself-for-the-summer. After all… I seem to leave destruction sites after my battles," I called out with a sneer as I slowly faded into visibility in between the two. Captain Cold let out a surprised gasp as he took a step back and fired his weapon at me simultaneously.
"Watch out!" Flash called as he darted in front of me. The frost on the ground though, suddenly radiated the same light blue the ray from his gun had released and seemed to pull the energy towards it. Then the frost grew to surround the offending cold of the ice blast as Danny watched with slightly widened eyes. I have got to ask Frostbite about this later, I quickly narrowed my eyes on the now nervous looking villain and a smirk slid onto my face.
"Really, you're trying to make a ghost shiver? Don't you think that's a little backwards? Hmmm… maybe I should give you a chance to give the money back, since it seems like you didn't properly research my haunt," I stated in a tone that was deadly calm. He seems to hesitate, as if he was almost ready to give into the idea. Then he shot upwards at a billboard sign. I look at him completely bored. Really. How was that going to change anything? The board then began to fall and I quickly grabbed onto Flash turning us intangible.
"Whoa, I could have sworn I got past my stomach moving faster than me," Flash mumbled and I let out a small snicker. I released him once the board passed through us and watched, as Captain Cold seemed to become a nervous wreck. "Hey, Captain Cold I think you should cool down. Here, let me give you a hand!" Flash shouts and just like that he launches a blow at the villain.
I smirk, as Flash rushes at him and attacked with force. "Hmm… I agree. Your plans were put on ice as soon as we showed up anyway," I declared as I shot near his feet and a patch of ice spreads across the ground. Captain Cold slips and falls to the floor, throwing a glare my way as he tries to get up. He went down very easily as we both team-up against him and soon Flash was cuffing him to bring him in to the police. This must have been Flash's Box Ghost.
"…Um, hey kid?" Flash replied with uncertainty, and I smiled. It wasn't like I had anything better to do. I was actually trying to stay away from my only home at the present time.
Starfire had left the tower to get some fresh air as Raven was busy meditating, Robin was overwhelmed with work, and Cyborg seemed to be trying to make Beast Boy feel better. So, Starfire decided to explore the park on her own for once. It was a nice day to do this, as the sun was out in full view and constant soft breeze ran through the air keeping anyone cool on what would have been a hot day.
Starfire wondered what would have happened if only her sister wasn't evil. It was hard for her to accept that Blackfire really meant to plan such horrid deeds. She couldn't help but feel that maybe it was some kind of mistake. She barely remember a time when they had been younger and that they used to play and love each other. Now Starfire supposed it was only her who loved the other sister.
Starfire sighed as she slowly floated down the sidewalk. It was quite the nice day out, but she couldn't stop herself from thinking about her sister. She knew she had new friends here, but sometimes she yearned for her family. Parents that praised her, and taught her the ways of the kingdom and a sister that was beyond brave who could manage to protect her from those mean Clorbags while sporting the hairdo Starfire had made for her.
Starfire released another sigh as she tried to clear her thoughts once more. She really didn't like going out alone. If only she could meet someone to accompany her. A new friend would be great! She would even settle for a bad guy to beat as then she would be with her team at least. Luckily for her it seems luck was headed her way in the form of a laughing ravenette.
Catwoman was bored as she stretched out on her couch. Danny hadn't contacted her since the nightmare incident. She frowned as she remembered him telling her about seeing his long lost brother die in front of him. She knew that scarred people, and while it may not have been real, it was still going to leave a lasting impact. Did she have a soft spot for the kid? As much as she would like to deny it, she knew she did. She even might hold Danny at a higher rating than Batman.
Yes, Batman. What to do with him? Batman was getting rather interested in her kit. A little too interested for her tastes. If her kit wanted to be a hero again, so be it, but if anyone plans to hurt him or throw him in jail… Well a cat had claws for a reason. Danny was special, and crap was she getting sentimental. Catwoman released a huff, before a devious idea came to her mind and a smirk was spread across her face.
Catwoman grabbed her phone and quickly dialled a number, as she moves to the newspaper she remembered she left on the counter. "Hello! Hello! Harley Quinn here!" Harley yelled through the phone. Catwoman's eyes gained a sinister sparkle, while she played with the curled telephone wire.
"I've got a wonderful idea for you, me, and Ivy. Let's have some fun," Catwoman purred, as she stared at the picture of the gems on the front page. Let's see the dark knight bother her kit while she and her sirens tear apart Gotham. Her smirk only grew as Harley got excited over her idea of fun.
AN: Oh my gosh I updated again... and so soon! Well, I've been having swim practice and meets since the second! I can't believe I haven't died! Anyway, School starts back up Monday so wish me luck (ugh, college). Hey, we are up to Chapter 20! I feel like you guys should get something special... (I can't believe I'm at 33,088 words on this story) so, I guess I'll let you choose. Review or PM me with what you want your reward to be (the most repeated reply will be the one I choose) and I'll try to do it. Well, on to the DS. Hardly any noise was made in the room. A single being rests inside. Calmly it got up from its hovering position. The figure moved around the dark room she was in. She looked around before sitting down. Her bed dipped slightly and filled the room with a soft creak. She released a silent sigh before her eyes locked on the pile before her. She grabbed the top book and started reading. A white book with black embroidery gleamed only two books down. Raven was peacefully reading, very much unaware of the danger that laid in wait right in front of her. Now let's get to the reviews! :D
Beta: Another amazing chapter so soon?! Best New Year's gift ever~ such an interesting relationship Danny and Flash had in the past though, can completely see them together as best buds XD and Starfire meeting and befriending Danny? Hm, wonder how that'll go :D anyway, thanks for getting this out so soon! Hope you can enjoy your first day back to school on Monday(or at least as much one can enjoy school) ;)
My Reply: It is! Surprising, right? Well then, Happy Belated New year! I know, right? I can just imagine them throwing witty banter at each other for hours on end! Danny and Starfire sitting in a tree KISS- and Robin kicked them out of the tree! ;P Well, I try. Yeah, school (kill me) I can't wait...
GotNoName123: It had been quite the time since I updated, but you know… life. Wow, I have never seen so many people dislike Batman as I have for my story. Maybe I should feel bad… Nah!
DPTTrocks: Glad to make you happy! Um… this too long of a wait? :P Yep, Flash!
YouCanOnlyPretend:(Chapter 1) ~ Well, the Danny's family died… twice. (that has got to hurt) Then Danny went to find Dick only for Robin to come to his old home. They missed each other and Robin may be on the edge of a breakdown. (And that was a summary of the first chapter by 16crk) Enjoy continuing to read!
(Chapter 4) ~ It was, wasn't it? Probably, won't have one that short again… oh well.
Poohbearmorris: Yeah, poor Danny. I am glad that you enjoyed his laughter! :D Batman, become nice! (maybe he'll listen) *Gets the bat glare* (Or maybe not…)
koyboy: It is alive! Or it came back from the dead… who can tell? Yay you like it! You really like it! I totally didn't forget about this story either, nope, not at all.
Guest: (Chapter 6) True, but I find it easier to just stick to emailing like I have been. My Beta is amazing by the way… always puts up with a trouble maker like me.
snowgem33: It has been, hasn't it? No offense taken. And thanks! I try to keep it awesome to the best of my abilities!
Good Witch of Babble: Yep, let's hope! Well, Flash being one of the easier heroes to get along with is one of the reasons I brought him in… along with him having a humor Danny could get along great with. Yeah, Batman doesn't have the ask question first ideal, but he doesn't have the shoot first ask questions never aspect either. He is more a beat to a pulp and then interrogate type. Umm… sorry to disappoint, but the big Flash Danny scene is a way off still. This was more of a cameo and to let you know he will be of importance at some point. I agree things could have gone better… let's just blame it all on an emotional high and hormones, ok? Well, here is the next chapter!
Well, th-that's all folks! ~ Love 16crk
ENJOY! :D
