As always, I'm soooooo sorry because this time I have to hiatus for an unbelievably long time. I was entering college and was very busy with so many activities for a new college student. But, of all thinsg, I never thought I would enter faculty of pharmacy?! I really… couldn't came up with something else…
This really took a lot of my time so I only could continue this fanfic after getting a holiday, sigh.

And I.. how do I say it..

..forgot the plot of this fanfic, honestly (God, you're so lame myself!). Well, couldn't help it 'cause I left this fanfic, for a long, long, time.. Until the haikyuu will get its 2nd season? I'm the worst author of all..

And.. actually I'm not worried because I had written a draft few months ago and I intended to upload it today. Yes, I'll finish my fanfic! But when I copied it, I mistook it by pasting my accidentally-copied BBM chat?! So. Stupiid!

I have to repeat it from the start but… I forgot my story! It's been a long time, since half a year ago. Oh… come on! I couldn't write this half-assed right? It's Kagehina, my 1st pairing after all

Then I opened fanfiction and read this from the start. Seriously. I was fangirling over it, over my own story? Oh please..

And wow God.. so many reviews QvQ I thank you guys. Reading your reviews makes me motivated to finished this last chapter in one night. Really! I read every of your reviews and they made me burst to tears

I really want to reply to everyone but many of you don't write review with account so I can't. But I'll thank you here, oh I really want to hug you /get myself some tissues

I apologize from the deepest part from my heart because I left this fanfic for a long time. I don't have any intention to abandon this story anyway.. so thank you guys who have read my story

This whole story has many grammar and typo error so please ignore it (?)sorry about that, sometimes my brain's so tired, it misspell words awfully.

Well then, proceed to the last chapter!

Chapter 6 : After the Incident

"I could hear what you said just now..."

"Wait.. huh?" Kageyama asked in disbelief

"I said, I can hear you, Kageyama" Hinata repeated.

"What..? Is.. is that really..ah!" Kageyama drew his hand and tried to hide his embarrassment. Damn it, what have I done? Doing this and that and hug him without thinking...

"But.." he faced Hinata "Do you really can hear me? I thought your hearing was getting worse back then.."

"Yeah" Hinata nodded once "but.. I feel a bit dizzy"

Kageyama kept a close watch on Hinata's face

"W..what?" asked Hinata, his face reddened.

"Uuh.. I think it's better to ask the doctor, right?" Kageyama ended the conversation and pushed a button to call the doctor.

Xxx

"It's nothing big" said the doctor after checking Hinata's condition. Kageyama and Hinata sighed in relief.

"Eh.. but I miss something" said Kageyama "It means that Hinata has recovered and is able to hear again? But how? Last time I recalled he became worse and he could even lost his hearing sense permanently.."

"Ah that's what we call 'miracle' " the doctor replied lightly

"?"

"Well, It's true that he has recovered almost completely. The fact is, before that 'anorexia' incident, Hinata's nerves and bones had been cured pretty fast. Everything went fine and I was thinking he could hear again in no time but, as I've already told you, the 'malnutrition' made the recovery slowed down drastically so I was worried because there was a probability that an unwanted side effect might appeared."

"So..?" Kageyama twitched his eyebrows, confused

"Deep thoughts" said the doctor

"Ha?"

"It seems that Hinata kun was thinking deeply of something which inhibited the recovery... More or less, thoughts (like motivation or self blame) influence body's homeostasis in some ways. Ah well.. it's a medical mechanism that's hard to explain so I think you don't have to know about it."

"..."

Looks like, the doctor's direct explanation was using high-level words and still too much for them to understand it.

"Whatever it was, Hinata has overcome it now, so his mind become stable and so do his body functions. Explains why he can hear again now..

Maybe Hinata kun was thinking of something very important to him? Like… maybe he wanted to go to school and joined his friends again, perhaps? I saw your friends were really nice people indeed.. Am I right, Hinata kun?"

"E..eh.. Ye-yeah… I think"

Hinata looked down at his blanket, avoiding the doctor's and Kageyama's gaze.

"It's good to be out!" said Hinata cheerfully, stretching his hands. He had to be tired of spending days in the hospital without doing heavy activity recently.

"Haha right.. Must be boring in there huh" Kageyama tried to imagine it.

"Not really, I was OK and able to getting through it all because you and Karasuno teammates were there" he smiled ear to ear.

Kageyama nodded "When we're back, I'm going to tell everyone about this with you, but it's better for you to take some rest at home now"

"Yeah"

"But really, you made me worried, Hinata. I thought you'll never hear again. So the 'deep thoughts' prevented you from hearing again.. like that. What were you thinking back then?"

"Just like what the doctor said"

"About Karasuno volleyball club?"

"Well, not just that" Hinata shifted his gaze to looke at Kageyama "but also you.. I think"

Kageyama startled "Wha.."

Suddenly the rain poured down so hard, cutting their conversation

"We gotta find a place to hide, hurry!" Kageyama grabbed Hinata's hand and ran. Fortunately they found a canopy above an abandoned store nearby. It's big enough.

"Okay, let's wait here until the rain stops" said Kageyama once they stopped there while looking at the dark gray sky unfolded above him.

"Uh… hey, Kageyama"

"What is it?"

"It's.. uh.. you can let go of my hand now" said Hinata nervously, looking at their tightly joined hands.

"!" Kageyama who just realized it immediately drew his hand "…. sorry"

Hinata couldn't say something.

The two became silence, looked at the other side. Time passed by and it felt like forever. Really, it felt so long with no one trying to talk first. Only the sound of the raindrops splashing on the ground could be heard that time.

"Umm.. Kageyama" Finally Hinata broke the silence "there's something I want to know..."

"Just say it"

"Last time before I could hear again, why did you act strangely at the hospital?"

Kageyama startled.

"Uh... I'm sorry. Just as I told you, I was scared of losing you, actually. From the start when you were hospitalized, I was so worried. Because you are the important decoy of our team, a regular player and a starter too. Which mean you are so important right?

Beside, I think I haven't fine other person who can catch up with my toss. Only you, who has that crazy reflex and agility, and all above it, hunger of victory. And you're a better person to have quarrel with, rather than Tsukishima.

Captain and Sugawara san rely on you. Everyone in the team rely on you. That's why when you lost your vital ability, I – as a member of Karasuno volleyball club and your partner – was worried.

You stupid"

"Ha?!" Hinata protested

"Dumbass"

"Wait!"

"Lousy air head"

"Wha.." Kageyama's words were out of the main topics it seems

"And when I looked at you while we were watching the sunset, you were so bright, sparkling while smiling under the shower of the sunlight with that sweet looked like an angel falling from somewhere.."

Hinata frowned "E.. Kageyama?"

"And when you ate my pieces of meat bun, you looked so starving you didn't mind eating the whole bun together with my hand. And your cheeks when you were munching, it was too cute, stupid"

"Kageyama.. What are you trying to say..?"

"I kept holding myself. But when you were blushing, you really made me lost myself. So, don't you get what I'm trying to say here?"

The spiker waited for the setter to say his next words.

"Because I love you"

Hinata gasped.

He stood there, unable to reply right away.

'U-unbelievable .. that Kageyama loves me?

He must be joking, right? He always makes fun of me' he convinced his one sided thought 'yeah, yeah, must be it. He'll say ba-ka, stupid or something else to me after this'

He still kept silent, staring at Kageyama's eyes. It was just that, Kageyama didn't say another word. His eyes only focused on Hinata.

'So …he meant it' said Hinata rather to himself while blushing madly.

"We-well.. you had taken care of me from the first time I was hospitalized" The orange haired spoke while trying to look at Kageyama's face but somehow he couldn't so he looked away "You always stayed by myself until I was recovered, and you always comforted me whenever I felt down.

You were feeding me when I couldn't move because of anorexia. And when you slept beside me, your face.. actually looked so calm and stoic, I didn't expect you to see that side, which was so different compared to your everyday character."

This time, Kageyama was the one who couldn't say something. 'So Hinata was paying attention to those kind of things too.'

"And the worst, you kept kissing me without my permission all of sudden. The second time you did that, a feeling I had never felt came and made me confused. I tried to figure what caused it but I couldn't. I kept thinking until I felt I didn't need to eat anything. But then I realized what made me like this.

It was you"

The setter's blue eyes widened ".. So.. you.."

"Yeah" Hinata smiled as he looked at Kageyama "I love you too"

Kageyama still couldn't react at first, but not long. He started to smile widely, grinned and laughed. Laughed so hard as if he was relieved from a burden he had bore. He walked to Hinata, stretching his hands and closed the gap within them with an embrace.

"Hahaha, thanks God. I was so worried…I kept thinking about what if you turned me down.. if that happened, I didn't know what I'd do.."

Hearing the relieved voice and feeling the warmth of Kageyama's hands, Hinata could feel his face burning and his heart racing.

"But..it's not like you to think of something like 'love', Kageyama" said Hinata.

"It's true. It's really not like me. At first I just thought of you as a talented, skillful rival. Then after knowing that we'd be on the same team, I changed my opinion about you. To me, you were a formidable partner who could catch up with me.

But that accident changed my feeling without I was aware of it. I don't know when, but I couldn't stop thinking of you when I leave the hospital. I went to the gym and realized you weren't there to shout and jump to spike my tosses. How I thought it felt lonely without you around. I even looked at the notebook which I always showed you, hoping I could write something and show it to you soon"

"Why don't you send me a mail then?"

"I can't, what if I bother you?"

"You always bother me"

"Hey, don't just forget what I'm saying before and change the topic on your own, stupid"

"But.." Hinata chuckled "That's the Kageyama I know!"

Saying that, he tightened his hug around Kageyama. The black haired just smiled and closed his eyes slowly.

"Yeah…"

The rain had already stopped. Kageyama and Hinata walked leaving that place, joining their hands with the other.

"Ah, I really hope we can play volleyball asap when I can get out from the hospital" Hinata asked

"Oh, if you want to play so badly, how about we play volleyball now?" Kageyama turned to look at Hinata

"Eh, really? Where?"

"At my house"

"Eh.. at your.. house..?" Hinata blushed again

"Haha nope, stupid. You have to stay and get some rest at your house"

"But.."

"No 'but'. we're not going to anywhere else" Kageyama placed his index finger on Hinata's lips "It's my responsibility to take you right to your place, and hand you to your mother. And greet her too I guess"

"'Hand' me? I'm not a kid, Kageyama! Why do you want to greet my mother too anyway?"

"Because I'm your 'boyfriend', right? Shouyo"

"Wha..?! Stop it Tobio!"

Both of them turned at the other side immediately, mimicking 'oh gross' face and laughing so hard until their stomach hurt.

"Oh please.. hahaha… it's so lame. Don't call me 'Tobio', Hinata"

"God! What's with 'I'm your boyfriend, Shouyo' it's so strange, Kageyamaa ahahaha"

"Right, guess we'll keep calling each other with family name"

Hinata nodded "No objection" he looked up at the sky and raised his hand "Whoaa, look Kageyama"

Kageyama followed Hinata's gaze and found a big, pastel – coloured rainbow. His eyes widened

"So beautiful"

"It's true that roubles come sometimes" said Hinata, still staring at that wonderful rainbow "But we can overcome it, with help from each others. And.." he tightened his grip on Kageyama's hand "once we overcome it, there's a wonderful thing waiting for us!

I don't regret I was hospitalized for a while" he grinned.

"Stupid, I know that but, just try not to be careless a little bit more, can't you?" Kageyama didn't want to spend his time worrying over the shrimp beside him but

'Well, even if you can't, I'll protect you with all my might

Because I'll make you invincible, right? As long as I'm here, beside you…'

Few weeks later

"Hinata, Kageyama from the other class gives you this just now" one of Hinata's classmate handed a notebook to Hinata.

"Thank you"

Hinata's eyes widened 'This book… it's the notebook Kageyama used to communicate with me when I was hospitalized.."

He started to flip the pages of the notebooks

"It feels nostalgic….Ah, there's a new note I haven't seen here"

PS : It's a little embarrassing so no comment. Also, don't forget to practice after school and make sure you eat well, stupid

Hinata stared at the notebook for a long time, his cheeks felt so hot. He was so nervous yet happy at the same time. He grabbed a pen and write the reply.

Stop it, don't stop it, which one? This stupid never changes huh. And what's the PS, it's longer than the main sentences above. Well, mine too. Wait, gosh, this's so unimportant!

I really am trying my best not to force my 'romantic' scene to this two dorks because it'll ruin their character aka OOC. I don't want that to happen (but looks like I'm getting carried away on the previous chapter lol forgive me). How was the ending? I… actually never have a rough draft of how the ending will be though … #slapped

Serve you right with that explanation of Homeostasis and such. I never think this pharmacy stuffs will help me finish the doctor's explanation about Hinata's absurd (?) I mean.. rare condition I set up months ago.. that time I really don't know how to finish this medically though lol. As a pharmacist wanna be we are forced (yeah, forced really hard) to read books (especially that super thick book Martini wrote) about human body. Not that I want to, I mean it's so thick.

I'm still bad at writing. Really. My TOEFL is fine. My English lesson too. So why am I so bad with writing? #cry

I'll read some fanfiction if I have time, so I can improve my fanfic (if next time I really have time to write another story #cryagain)

Speaking of which, it reminds me that tomorrow 22/12 is Kageyama's birthday. I have to (force myself to) write a fanfic of this! You should too ne!
