"I told you to pack light..." Nico muttered, the dark circles under his eyes very apparent.

"This is light. It's everything I need to survive." Rachel said, stuffing her organic Kind bars and her herbal tea into her tie-dye backpack.

"This is why I have a tool belt." Leo grinned.

"I took deliberty of creating this map for you. According to ancient lore, I estimate that Ogygia should be within this region." Annabeth pointed to the island in the Ionian Sea.

"You guys ready?" Percy asked.

"It's going to be dangerous. Seven demi-gods barely managed to survive that territory, how will only three and a prophet fare?" Reyna spoke, her hand clutching the sword that rested against her hip.

"Let's get going before the sun sets." Nico murmured.

"Everyone grab onto me." He instructed, and grimaced as he felt one pair of hands grab around his slender waist.

Reyna had warned them about shadow traveling, though Leo protested that it couldn't have been any worse than his road trip with his Tio Carlitos across Texas in his rickity old truck.

Boy was he wrong.

And Reyna thought it was bad the first time...

Rachel Elizabeth Dare could not even began to describe what shadow travel felt like.

To a child not from Hades, that means of travel was almost unbearable.

It's so cold that it feels like you're on fire, and your throat is searing with pain, like you've just been branded with a searing hot iron and then a cat clawed it's way down your esophagus.

Shadow traveling only lasts a minute, but it is perhaps the longest minute of your life. The coldest. The most painful. The scariest. And for what? A quick way to get from point A to point B?

But to Leo it was much different... He would endure a million minutes of shadow travel if that meant freeing Calypso.

The seconds dragged on, and just when Rachel thought her lungs were about to explode, she hit the mossy floor with a thud as oxygen flooded into her body with ragged heaves.

"Where - where are we?" Reyna croaked.

"Not Ogygia. I would've seen mist - or something..." Rachel rasped.

"Hey man are you alright?" Leo held up his friend, who looked too weak to move.

"We must be very far from camp. I'm just a little exhausted is all. Let's set up for the night." Nico breathed. He was the son of Hades, therefore shadow travel wasn't THAT bad for him.

He could breath easy and his throat didn't feel like he deep throated a butcher knife, plus he liked the cold. BUT, it was extremely draining. And Nico hated feeling weak.

"I'm on it." Leo grinned, pulling out a metallic box with a large red button from his tool belt.

With a press and a toss, a small, two person tent sprang to life.

They were grateful for the tent but there was no way they all could fit in there... Two of them would have to compromise.

"After you." He said, opening the flap as Reyna and Rachel piled into the surprising spacious living room sized tent.

"Gods Leo!" Rachel exclaimed, jumping onto the small couch.

"Yeah, I had the Hecate cabin charm it, thought we'd need more room... Ya know, for activities." He winked.

Rachel cringed. "Yeah totally, whatever that means."

"There are only two beds." Reyna observed.

"Oh yeah... Well two of us are just gonna have to double up, I of course, would be happy to take one for the team-"

"You. Couch." Rachel growled and Leo gulped.

"Rachel, you don't mind sharing do you?" Reyna asked, tightening her thick ponytail.

Rachel raised a brow. The way Reyna said it... Like she wasn't just talking about a bed. Her tone was so innocent... Too innocent.

"No... Not at all." Rachel smiled.

"Perfect. I just feel like Nico deserves a bed to himself, he's practically unconscious."

"Help me get him on the bed."

"I don't need help honestly." Nico said, stumbling between the two girls.

"Just get some rest Ghost boy." Rachel said.

"We should all get some rest."

Rachel laid down first, and then Reyna followed.

"Goodnight everyone." Rachel whispered, blowing out the kerosene lamp.

Somehow in the midst of adjusting positions to maximize comfort, they were both facing each other. It was completely dark, and neither could tell that the other was staring, trying to make out their features.

After 15 minutes, neither of them could fall asleep, and the boys' snoring lulled in the background.

Rachel liked the way Reyna smelled, it was a nice lavender. Without thinking, her arms wrapped around the girl, breathing in her scent.

Rachel's eyes bulged in the darkness but Reyna did not push her away. She assumed that Rachel was asleep... Hugging her as if she were a teddy bear.

Reyna wanted to hug her back, kiss her even... But Rachel was thought to be asleep and Reyna couldn't do that. Content with being held, both girls drifted off into a mindless slumber.

In the morning, everyone awoke from Leo's shout.

"YOU TWO HAD FUN LAST NIGHT!" He exclaimed, his nose dropping with blood.

Both girls groggily opened their eyes, and it took about .346 seconds for them to realize the... Awkward position they were in which Rachel's hands were very full, and she was spooning the young Praetor.

She practically squealed, retracting her arms and legs and falling off the cot.

Reyna honestly didn't mind.

She calmly yawned and stretched.

"Jealous, Valdez?" She pulled the covers off herself and went to the small ice chest.

She handed him some ambrosia and nectar and threw Rachel her bag with all her mortal snacks.

Poor Rachel, she was human, so she'd never be able to experience the deliciousness of demi-god/god food... Well I mean she could, but she wouldn't be able to live to tell the tale.

"Eat. We leave in an hour." She said.

"I'm still like half asleep..." Leo groaned.

"We're in ancient lands. We need to keep moving. It's midday, but you can still shadow travel, correct?" She asked Nico, who arose from his slumber like the undead, his hair tussled in a very sexy way.

"It works better at night but as long as there are shadows cast then it will do." He bit into a square, which tasted like his mother's fresh ricotta pie.

"Perfect. I heard a river nearby. I'm going to wash up. Care to join me?" She raised a brow at Rachel who nodded.

The two girls bounded out of the tent, and Rachel was very aware of Reyna's sword at her hip.

Would they run into any monsters?

"It's right over here." Reyna called, jumping over the large boulders, as Rachel struggled to keep up.

It probably wasn't the best idea to skip the physical training for meditation sessions back at camp.

When Rachel finally made it to the crisp water, Reyna already was fully submerged, her clothes folded neatly on a nearby boulder.

"Is it cold?" Rachel asked, taking off her sandals and sticking a painted toe into the water.

"No, hurry and wash while you can. We don't have much time. Do you sense any monsters near?"

Rachel shook her head as she unbuttoned her jean shorts and took off her FREE THE WHALES t-shirt.

"We don't have towels." She said.

"Oh I'm sure Leo can warm us up nice and toasty." Reyna smiled.

They both laughed and Rachel removed the rest of her clothes, entering the water which was quite refreshing.

"How will we find Ogygia?" Rachel asked.

"I have an idea. I don't know if it will work, but it's all we've got." Reyna rubbed her wet, jet black hair in the water.

Rachel wet her face, and ran her hands through her red locks, realizing that she hadn't shaved in a while... Not that she particularly cared.

She noticed that Reyna had really nice shoulders, as weird as it sounded.

"I've been thinking what you said, Rachel." Reyna spoke.

"About?"

"In your dreams, who are you 'not going all the way with?'" She asked.

Rachel blushed madly.

"I- I- what? I don't know what you're taking about..."

Reyna raised an eyebrow.

"Is it a boy...?" She purred, swimming slowly to the mortified Rachel.

"... Or a girl?" She practically whispered into her ear.

Rachel shuddered, as Reyna's leg rubbed up against her own. She thought to herself that Reyna's legs feel like dolphins.

Rachel could not deny that she was attracted the Reyna, but she wasn't the only one that she dreamt about.

Those dark circles. That broad chest. Those sculpted arms. Nico di Angelo had made her wake up soaked on a number of occasions and Rachel was sure that Reyna also had a thing for him.

"I want to help you Rachel."

She couldn't stop staring at Reyna's plump lips.

"Let me." They lightly brushed against Rachel's before the red head crushed them together, closing the gap between them. Hard nipples rubbed up against each other.

The third demi-god Rachel had ever kissed, and perhaps... The best?

"I- I like Nico." Rachel murmured.

"So do I." Reyna smiled.

Why was that so fucking hot?
