He feels warm. He doesn't want to wake up, but something is nagging him at the back of his mind. Not safe. Attacked. Bells are ringing in his mind, but he can't remember why. What had he been doing before he fell asleep? He remembers arms wrapping around him and "-my love" "mate." Who had said that to him?

His eyes open and he finds himself in an unfamiliar room. How had he gotten here? The door opens just as his panic is starting to spiral. A man in black enters the room and he looks familiar. "And what might you be doing?" The voice is a soft, but stern. He turns around and he tries to look innocent. "Sev, it's not what it looks like?" It comes out more like a question than a statement. Sev raises an eyebrow.

"Sev?" It comes out like a question. The man's brow nits and Hadrian can see the concern on the man's face.

"I don't –" He stumbles for words and gulps slightly. "I don't remember?" He tries out the sentence.

"What do you mean, Hadrian?" The man says and know he is supporting a look of worry.

"Is that my name? Hadrian, I mean?" He asks in curiosity. The man flinches and looks astounded.

"What's the last thing you, remember?" The man says.

"I don't know. I remember you, I think." Hadrian says with confusion. "I know that I'm a lamia and I think I remember my mate? But I can't remember him. Why can't I remember him?"

"I don't know." Sev says with confusion.

After being checked out by an older woman named Madame Pomfrey who was a healer, Hadrian was quickly taken downstairs to a kitchen full of people. An old man stands up and smiles as everyone goes quiet, "Ah, Hadrian. Severus has told us that you seem to have lost your memory." The old man stated before popping a small, yellow candy in his mouth, "Please come sit down, Molly just got done making breakfast."

Hadrian looks uncertain before Severus waves him over. He sits between Severus and a man with red hair. "Do I know you?" He asks, puzzled by the man's familiarity. Hadrian does not remember him.

"I'm afraid not, my boy. The last time I saw you was when you were a child." The old man says. "I am Albus Dumbledore."

Hadrian nods before he looks at his plate ad blanches. He turns to Severus and tugs on his sleeve, "Sev, I can't eat this." The plate has a muffin, toast, some eggs with cooked meat, and what looks to be like some type of greens.

Before Severus can reply, a boy that looks to be his age with red hair replies, "What do you mean you can't eat it? Is the food too good for a snake like you?" The boy is sneering and Hadrian flinches before huddling close to Severus. He doesn't know theses people and there is so many of them. The boy isn't the only one sneering at him either. Hadrian can see the looks of anger some of the other people are shooting him.

"Ronald don't be rude!" A plump woman with red hair says as she smacks the boy on the back of the head.

"To answer your question, Mr. Weasley. Hadrian cannot digest and of these foods. In fact, they would make him sick if he ate any of them. The eggs would have been fine or even the meat if it's raw, but since Hadrian is a Lamia he needs different food to stay healthy." Severus says with a sneer before he reaches into his robe and pulls out a flask.

"Here Hadrian, this should hold you over while I find you something to eat." Hadrian eyes light up before he takes the flask and begins to chug the contents.

"What did you give him, Snape?" A man with black hair says.

"Dragon fruit, blood, and elven wine." Severus says with an eye roll.

Hadrian isn't bothering to listen as he drinks his breakfast. Severus always has the best food! He hisses when a hand comes into his sight range and feels his fangs drop down as it reaches for his flask. Severus's hand reaches out and bats away the hand. Hadrian clutches his flask to his chest and looks up to see the plump red headed women.

Her face is flushed red and she seems angry, "You can't give a child elven wine or dragon fruit! It could make them sick and he's a minor!" She screeches.

A young man across from the stands up, he's also a red head. "Mom it's perfectly healthy. Hadrian is a Lamia. This is the same mixture we give dragon young. It's nutritious for him. The elven wine has several different fruits and herbs that are good for him. In fact, Hadrian can't even get drunk of the mixture. It's basically juice."

"Mrs. Weasley, please do not snatch things from Hadrian. He might attack you if he thinks you are trying to hurt him." Snape says before sitting back down.

Mrs. Weasley huffs before stalking off. "You know about dragons?" Hadrian ask the red head across form him. He smiles softly.

"My names Charlie, Hadrian. I work with dragons on a reserve." The red head says with a smile.

"Have you met other Lamia?" Hadrian ask curiously.

"No. We only have dragons on the reserve." Hadrian's eyes go glossy before he shakes his head.

"It's probably a good thing. Your handsome, someone would probably take you." Hadrian says as if it's a normal thing.

"What do you mean 'take me'?" Charlie says with a lifted brow.

"I can smell the dragon on you and your magic is a nice shade. In fact, its very powerful. It kind of reminds me of fire. Lamia are attracted to magic like yours. If I didn't have a mate already you would be a good candidate." Hadrian says smoothly before looking at Severus.

"Shade?" A girl his age with bushy hair says. Hadrian looks up at her with a furrowed brow.

"Yes? His magic is a pretty shade of gold. I've never seen that particular color.

I just wanted to thank everyone for all the reviews! I'm sorry it's taken me forever to update on any of my stories. Don't worry, I'll be updating my other two after I finish this one. I've already got the rest of the story formatted. I've just got to write the chapters now!
