"The Love of Naruto and Sakura, Ch. Ten!:

"Red Moon Festival"

A/N just a side note I know we're 15,000+ words in and their not together yet...but I believe the journey is just as good as the destination. And as long as your not disappointed, I think you'll love the destination when we get there. And if your concerned about how long the story is gunna last after here together i promise ill make sure their time "together" is just as long as the journey!

Naruto opened his eyes, this time he was is Sakura's hospital room. Tsunade was behind him, her arm supporting him. Sakura was awake and well, the suns setting light gleamed through the blinds giving revelation to Sakura's face.

"You guys better be more careful." Tsunade demanded, as she removed her hand from Naruto. He made his way closer to Sakura as he was reminded that he had done this. He now turned his vision to the floor tiles.

Just then Ino entered the room. Sakura looked up waiting for her results.

"Well Sakura, your fine." Ino started. "There's no sign you were out in the first place."

"So I can leave?" Sakura asked.

"Well yeah, but i'm gonna be off in ten so i thought we'd go out." Ino informed.

"Sure, I need to get cleaned up anyway." Sakura replied letting everyone know to step out.

Naruto waited out in the hallway while Tsunade went back to the mansion. Ino had now returned in her casual outfit.

"Hey" She greeted.

"Whats up." Naruto answered.

"Are you taking Sakura out tomorrow night?" She said nosily.

"Uh, why" the blond asked confused.

"For the Red Moon Festival..." Ino Informed with a 'Duh' attitude. Thats when Sakura came out.

"I'm ready."

"Alright." Ino responded.

"We'll see you later Naruto." said Sakura as she waved goodbye already making her way down the hall with Ino.

"Ok." Naruto waved.

Sakura and Ino had gone to Yakiniku- barbecue joint team 10 always goes to.

*Mmm* "So. . ." Ino broke.

"So what?" Sakura asked finishing a bite of barbecue pork.

"So what happened to you?" Ino continued.

"You mean at the hospital?" Sakura assumed.

"Yeah, how'd you end up like that?" Ino practically repeated.

"Uh, I was just overworked from a long shift at the hospital- I gotta stop pushing myself ya know?" Sakura lied remembering no one else could know about the cube.

Ino didn't have much to say after the weird feeling she felt from Sakura.

"How am I gonna ask Sakura to the RedMoon Festival after what happened" Naruto thought as he kicked his way through the thick snow. . .

"I should talk to her about what happened." Naruto told himself aloud as he turned onto another side road. He wasn't heading anywhere specific, he just needed to walk.

The Red Moon Festival would be held on the main road through Konoha, celebrating the red moon of course. The street would be full of life, and all sorts of stands for food and games. The snow by then would be long melted under the hundreds of feet stomping through it, and Naruto? Well he'd be at home. . .sleeping in.

"Why isn't he answering..." Sakura whispered to herself, her breath visible as she spoke.

*BANG* *BANG* *BANG*

"Now I know he heard that" She continued. . .But no response came form the other side of the blond teens door.

*Sigh*"There must be an open window" The girl exclaimed as she tried to open the closest window. A puff of frustration escaped her lips when it didn't budge. . . That's when she jumped to the balcony and peered into his bedroom, to see he was right there still out cold.

She knocked against the glass. She knocked harder. "Naruto get up." Finally he raises his head from the pillow. His deep blue eyes scanned the room, stopping when they met Sakura's gaze from outside the sliding door. He popped up and approached his friend.

"Whats up?" He greeted as he slid open the door.

"I wanted to say sorry for just leaving yesterday, I'm sure you have some questions." The pink haired girl replied.

"Oh, no that's fine Sakura." he assured, scratching his head in confusion.

"So what are you still doing sleeping?" Sakura asked as she positioned her weight to her other leg.

"I dunno, what time is it." He responded looking to the clock on his desk.

"8:30." She informed. (P.M)

"Oh! The Red Moon Festival!" Naruto called out grabbing Sakura's shoulders.

"Jeez Naruto calm down, what about it?" She asked.

"Will you go with me?" He spat practically cutting her off.

She just starred into his excited eyes for a moment.

"Sure Naruto." She answered with a smile.

Naruto rushed getting ready to leave throwing on some heavy clothes and making it out his door in record time. A date with Sakura? Oh yeah, he was ready.

The two teens made there way down the side road, the main street was just ahead. They could see all the people walking and celebrating the Red Moon, which was just above head. Sakura now gazed up at it as they walked.

"Looks pretty cool, huh?" Naruto asked as they conjoined with the crowd.

"Yeah, just like last year." She responded taking another look.

"There was a festival last year?" Naruto interpreted confused.

"Yeah, I think you were in recovery but i'm not sure." Sakura answered.

Naruto thought for a moment, but couldn't remember what he was up to last year. His thoughts were interrupted when Sakura spoke again.

"Ya know, Christmas is coming up."

(A/N Ya i realize that Jesus doesn't exist in Naruto -obviously- But hey lets just pretend for now that Christmas is a none religious holiday and instead is just another random celebration where everyone exchanges gifts, No Santa exists...Ok? Ya and Hopefully I don't go to hell...xD)

"Yeah..." Naruto choked.

"Who do you celebrate with?" Sakura followed.

...but Naruto didn't answer.

before anyone could say anything Sakura's mom popped out of the crowd.

"Heyy, there's my daughter!" Mrs. Haruno shouted. Wrapping her arms around Sakura.

"Mom stop your drunk!" Sakura shoved.

"What? I've only had a few Sakura." Mrs. Haruno swore. Naruto just kinda sat back as the two bickered back and forth.

Suddenly Sakura turned, grabbed Naruto by the hand and darted off dragging him into the crowd.

"God I hate when she embarrasses me like that." Sakura mumbled.

"Where are we going?" Naruto asked, as Sakura slowed her pace.

"I just wanted to get away from her." Sakura exclaimed. "But anyway.. would you want to spend Christmas with me and my family?"

Sakura watched as his face lit with surprise.

"Yeah, that sounds great." Naruto responded, giving a wide grin.

They then proceeded to play stand games, and bought snacks until the crowd started to retreat back to there homes, and slowly but surely the stands were beginning to close.

"well we should head home." Sakura exclaimed.

"No wait." Naruto called, Sakura turned to look at him. "I wanna go somewhere else first."

"OK where?" Sakura asked, but Naruto just extended his hand.

Naruto and Sakura darted threw the snow covered streets, passing the Hokage mission they continued into a patch of trees. Behind which was a set of stairs, leading up the mountainside. Naruto raced up them, Sakura close behind.

Sakura arrived seconds after Naruto, who was gazing out over the side from under a tree. She joined him.

"Wow, its beautiful." Sakura exclaimed. "I wouldn't imagine you'd go somewhere like this."

"Its where I come to think." Naruto told her, as he leaned back onto the cold but snow-less ground to look at the moon from under the tree.

To his surprise Sakura laid beside him and joined in the view of the sky.

"Christmas is gonna be here before we know it." Sakura informed.

"Yeah." Naruto responded still looking at the Red Moon.

"Did you want to tag along when I go shopping for gifts?" Sakura invited.

"Sure I'll go." He said turning to look at the teen girl just beside him.

They both just stared at the sky, until it began to snow harder. They decided to go home before it got much worse. Naruto walked Sakura to The Haruno's, then proceeded to his house. For the night.

Im not gonna promise any more 'posting' dates BC i rarely have access to a computer at the same time i'm feeling up to writing. But if you really like my story have some faith. . . I love this story to death. And I will have it complete, one day at least. Also you may not have noticed but I almost always do a quick scan on previous chapters when im writing and so I do fix grammar errors and just plain typos. . .I apologize I like to write VARY late at night and so i'm pretty drowsy by the time im writing so i dont notice as well as i should when i fuck up. but anyways. feel free to review or message me if your feeling it. lol ill answer questions if you have any. even flames are welcome xD
