It had taken a little while for Callie to get through to Robert but after trying for about an hour she finally managed to get a hold of him. He too, like Stef, said that Brandon should stay put and not risk driving in the storm. Robert also mentioned that a spare room was already made up and Brandon could sleep there. It was a relief. He really didn't fancy driving in that madness called a storm. Brandon could tell Callie was relieved too, she never has been a big fan of storms, they seem to make her feel like a scared little child again and she despises the feeling.
"Baby," he mumbles. "It's okay."
Callie sighs contentedly. "I know," she says softly. "It always is as long as you're with me."
He smiles. "Well, don't you just say the cutest damn things to me Callie Quinn Jacob."
Callie giggles, snuggling into him as they lay on her bed, listening to the rain outside. "Mhmm," she mumbles. "You love it."
Brandon grins. "You bet I do."
"Can I ask you something?"
He turns his head a little so he can see her better. "Of course you can, what is it?"
"Are you happy?"
"Very much so," he answers quickly. "In fact, I can safely say that I have never been happier than I am right now, in this moment, here with you. I love you."
She smiles, a blush on her cheeks. "I love you too, idiot."
Brandon chuckles. "You're perfect."

Meanwhile, somewhere not so far away...
"Are you sure?" She asks, her voice trembling.
"Positive."
The girl shakes her head furiously. "It can't be, this can't be happening."
"Well, it is."
"Shit," she curses. "Fuck, fuck, fuck."
"It's gonna be alright, you're not on your own."
The girl looks up at her. "If only that were true."
"What about the father? Is he in the picture?"
She sighs. "It's complicated."
"Isn't it always?"
"I guess," she says. "I don't know any different. The only guy I dated that I actually fell in love with never loved me back, not the way I wanted him to."
Her friend puts an arm around around in attempt to be comforting. "Well, you've got me, you don't need him."
She tries her best to smile. "I hope so."
"You're gonna be okay."
She doesn't say anything in response for a moment or so, trying to make sense of this situation. "I have to tell him."
"Do you? I mean, he's not in the picture right?"
"He's not," she answers. "But he should know. I want him to know."

His eyes flutter a little and then he sees her, he suddenly feels wide awake. She's smiling and he feels all gooey inside. He could get very used to waking up next to her that's for sure. "G'morning babe."
"It's a good morning for sure."
Brandon bursts out laughing. "Very true, Callie. That's very very true."
She nestles into him. "I wish we could stay here forever." Callie whispers.
"And ever," he whispers back. "And ever and ever."
Callie giggles, blushing slightly. "I love you Brandon."
Brandon smiles instantly, he just can't help it. He feels as if he's literally radiating happiness right now. "I love you too."
Both of them are so happy and content, for the first time in a long time everything in their life is stable. They have everything they need and it shows. In the way they both look at each other, by the way that they smile and laugh, their love is just so big and bright and beautiful. As they lay there, snuggled together, they lose track of time. Before they know it there's the sound of a car outside and Brandon has never jumped out of bed so fast in all his life.
"It's not funny Cal!" Brandon exclaims, just about keeping his balance as he rushes to get his jeans on.
Callie hasn't left the bed and is amused by the whole situation. She does end up getting out of bed when she notices the sheer panic on his face at the thought of her father seeing them like this, after he trusted them enough for Brandon to stay, add in the fact the guest room has not been used at all and it will definitely show. Brandon is not that great at making his bed that it looks as if it hasn't even been slept in. Callie quickly finishes getting dressed just as the door opens downstairs.
"Hello?" Sophia calls out.
Brandon and Callie both let out a sigh of relief. It's just Sophia. Robert isn't home yet. Breathe. Relax. Brandon can stop being all panicky now, although Callie found Brandon being all worried about Robert rather adorable, not that she'll ever tell him that though. "Up here!" Callie shouts.
There's silence and then they hear her run up the stairs. Sophia runs straight into Callie, hugging her as if she hadn't seen her for years and not yesterday morning. "I'm so glad you're okay, I know how much you hate storms."
Callie grins at her little sister. "I'm okay, I had Brandon."
"Ah," Sophia says, now finally realizing that Brandon is also in the room. "I see."
Brandon laughs nervously. "Hey."
Sophia smirks. "Hey."
"So... Breakfast?" Callie suggests.
Brandon nods. "Breakfast."
