Finally home, Lucy thought to herself as she let out a sigh. She had spent all day doing a job request on her own, and it was entirely worth it. There was no one to split the reward with and no property damage to get billed for, so all of that beautiful money went right to her. And now she had enough to cover most of her rent for the month!

Bubbling with happiness from that thought, Lucy set her shoes and travel bag by the door and walked into the—

"Ah, Lucy. There you are!"

Oh.

"Loke—! Leo, what are you doing here?" She wasn't really surprised by the fact someone was in her house, just that it was him.

"Some of the other spirits said you had called on them today, but you never called me," he started, throwing his left arm over the back of the couch. "So I thought maybe you were mad and were trying to avoid me for some reason. If that's the case I will gladly fix whatever the issue is, because star-crossed lovers such as us should never become separated over trivial arguments."

Lucy rolled her eyes. You jump to conclusions way too easily. Instead of telling him that, she just dismissively waved her hand and said, "Well, whatever. As long as you're using up your own magic and not mine while you're here." She made her way to the other side of the living room.

"Of course. You look like you've had a long, stressful day, so I wouldn't want to be any more of a burden to you." Loke's eyes wandered over Lucy's figure as she opened the door to a linen closet and reached for some towels on a higher shelf.

Lucy angrily grabbed the towels and pulled them down. Calmly, though, she replied, "Yeah, exactly. And after having a long, stressful day, wouldn't it be nice to have a long, relaxing bath? In peace and quiet? By myself?"

He hardly batted an eyelash. "I agree - that would be nice. Before your bath, would you like any help taking off your clothes? They look rather tight on you at the moment."

".. Nope, I've got it. Thanks."

Loke stood up and stretched his arms for a minute before putting his hands in his pockets. "Alright. But remember that a celestial spirit's duty is to help their master in any way possible," he said with a sly smile.

She huffed, smiling a little bit. "I think I know that."

"Are you sure you're not mad at me, Lucy?"

"No! I just want you to get out of here so I can take a bath!" She waved her hand at him again, signaling him to go.

"Fine. Call me soon – for anything, and I mean anything. Because… you know." He gradually began fading back into the celestial realm. "I love spending time with you and getting to see you."

When Lucy glanced at him, his sly smile from moments ago was now replaced by a warm, genuine smile.

"Okay," she said flatly.

She stood there until long after he had faded away. Once she came back to reality, Lucy went into her bedroom, slammed the door and threw the towels on the ground.

"God— why couldn't that guy have been born a human?" she muttered as color rose to her cheeks. "I love seeing him, too…"
