Percy POV

Shit, shit, shit, shit. I was never going to pass math this year, thanks to Mr. Sakly and his stupid amount of homework. Whatever. "PERCY!" shouted my mom from downstairs. I ran down, relieved to get away from my Algebra homework.

"Percy, some of your friends are outside trying to beat up a red-eyed kangaroo using field hockey sticks!"

I let out a breath. Shoot. "Mom, the mist. They're fighting a monster!" I ran out the front door in my NEMO pajamas and was shocked to see Garrison, Rachel, and Bianca fighting a hellhound, all of them weaponless. What the Hades! I grabbed Riptide from my pocket and started fighting, just as two empousai and a drakon joined them. I was starting to get tired, defending everyone else and attacking at the same time. The hellhound was about to jump on attack Bianca so I jumped in front of her and everything went black...

Garrison POV

Shit, shit, shit, shit. Percy just went down. We were all goners. We needed another demigod or ugh! I am so FRICKIN' annoyed right now. I am freaking out! What in Olympus are we going to do. I thought for sure that we were all goners until Annabeth showed up. In a prom dress?

Annabeth POV

Shit, shit, shit, shit. This is just the PERFECT day for Aphrodite to give me a makeover. How was I supposed to fight monsters with a floor-length dress and high heels? I took out my dagger and tried to fight. I succeeded in killing on of the empousai, and injuring the drakon, but that wasn't enough. I had already sprained my ankle after a bad landing, and my shoulder was pouring out blood. The only thing that kept me going was the sight of Percy, fallen. It didn't look as if he was seriously injured, but he would be if I didn't get rid of these monsters. But my dress and shoes provided me almost no mobility...

"Annabeth, you're on fire!" Rachel shouted behind me.

"Thanks, but this isn't my best thanks to the outfit!" I replied back. I loved that she was cheering me on, but really?

"NO! I mean you're actually on fire!" I looked down at my feet, and realized that she was right. So I guess that the burning pain in my foot wasn't just from my ankle. I was just about to pass out from the pain, when I felt some type of force pushing me up. The pain was gone, and I felt good as new. I hit the remaining empousa with my dagger, but instead of slicing it, my knife emitted a pink smoke that caused all of the monsters to drop dead. What the Hades? I looked down at my hands. They were glowing pink.

I had Aphrodite's blessing. Woah. It barely ever happened that a demigod received a blessing like this during battle from a god who's not their parent. Maybe it was because I was wearing her clothes. Maybe it was because she like me. Or maybe she didn't want to break Percabeth.

Either way, the battle was done. I watched as my hands returned back to normal, and then everything went black...
