Chapter 14: On the way...
Ken recovered his senses very slowly and woke up to a bright blue light. It took some time for him to consider his situation as he was still very dizzy from the ScepticDart. He blinked and looked around, everything was a haze but he could see that there were people with him. He tried to speak but words failed him.
SLAP!
Ken snapped awake as his face began to burn. He wasn't very happy to find himself in a strange blue plastered room being tied up.
"What the heck!?" he cried as he kicked out at the guy tying him up. The person reeled back and glared up at him. Ken was very startled, "Jack" he said.
This was no time for sentimental emotions, now was the time for action. He was happy to find that they had not finished tying his legs up so using his remaining strength he kicked out again. Jack was ready and blocked with lightning fast movements. Ken tried to find an opening but there was nothing. So using his tied up legs he swiped Jack in the stomach and did his best to stand up without the use of his hands. As he did so however he felt the presence of more people who had entered the room.
"Don't make this harder on yourself mate" laughed Jack, a hint of madness came through his strong Irish accent. Ken looked up at Mad who was standing by the door, arms crossed and his shoulders moved as if he was sighing. He walked over, Jack stood up and bowed as Mad passed. He then moved across and away from the two 'friends.' Ken had a strong urge to run but he knew that the outcome would be certain death. He thought about trying to reason with him, but that seemed useless.
But there was no harm in trying…
"Cry… if you're in there…"
"I'm in there certainly" said Mad "And out here too. Ken Morrison, when will you get it into your head that I am Cry! He and I are one and the same..."
Ken shuddered at Mad's words "You're not the same…" he added, reasoning seemed hopeless as expected.
Mad cackled harshly. "Believe what you like." He stood up and tussled his brown hair. He let out a sigh of relief and walked towards the door. He muttered something inaudible to Jack and Jack departed from the room in a hurry. Mad looked back at Ken.
"I preferred it when you were an icon."
He pointed at Ken, who was now backing up against the wall. Mad smirked and muttered, "Prop Hunt."
"Lets try and get help from some other YouTubers" Pewdie sighed, "see if anyone else could help us... you know...save Ken and Cry."
"We'll think then. I'm sure they'll be others who wish to help!" Marzia insisted.
"Fine, lets get out of here. It's creepy" the Sup Guy cried, Marzia laughed at how commanding it had become since Cry's capture.
They began to make their way back to the hotel, it was days since they had been together there, amongst the other YouTubers and laughing at the many videos that they had recently released. Minx walked alongside Caddie, who was discussing about his Sly Cooper review. Minx was reminiscing about all the Trouble in Terrorist town games and the deception that she caused, which made Caddie nervous.
"I've gotta catch up with Chilled someday," she said, a little melancholy. "I'm sure he and the Derp Crew could help us with this."
"That might not be such a bad idea" said Pewdie, overhearing their conversation. He turned back to Marzia who was taking a drink from a water bottle. She handed it to Pewdie and sighed.
"You know... I was vlogging when I heard about your injuries" laughed Marzia a little sadly. "A new fashion video…"
Pewdie glanced at his lover, the water bottle remaining by his lips. He continued to watch as Marzia squeezed the Sup Guy into a hug. Her eyes almost watery, almost crying. Without thinking Pewdie grabbed Marzia and pulled her in for a hug. She gasped as her head lay against his chest, his heartbeat racing as his arms held her close. She held on and snuggled up to him. He stroked her long glossy brown hair and she let the tears pour down her face, her shoulders shuddering as she began to cry.
"I'm sorry Pewds" she stuttered. "I told Cry that everything would be fine. That this was… that this... I..."
"Shhh" said Pewdie calmly continuing to stroke her hair and planting a kiss on her head, "It's okay. It'll all be okay, you'll see…"
Marzia nodded but kept her face hidden, tears leaving small stains on Pewdie's blue t-shirt, but he didn't mind.
Suddenly a slight chanting echoed in Pewdie's head, begging him, dragging him away from the others. Telling him of a bigger purpose… shaking the thought out of his head he let go of Marzia and stared at her for a few seconds, as if he had forgotten who she was. She smiled up at him and continued to walk. "Come on Pewds" she teased. Pewdie turned to the confused Minx and Caddie who had just watched this sudden embrace.
"Lets get out of here guys" he called shakily and he began to quickly march the others away and towards the Wire Temple.
All they had to do first was get through the Amnesia mansion…
But where was Stephan in all of this, I hear you cry…
Stephan was meditating in the forest, trailing behind them from a distance. He had seen Cry's capture and was distressed that he could not reveal himself. Not yet, it wasn't the right time. He watched as they headed off to the mansion sighing at Pewdie's determination and the fact that they were heading straight into danger.
"He's not even considering if this is a trap…" he muttered as he watched them continue their journey. He saw Minx behind them a little way off.
"Perhaps she can warn him for me…"
(No quote at the end of this one I'm afraid, this is a little filler after all…)
