So literally a year or two later i finally finish writing this short chapter on what the code is and how he received it. i remember a few people were asking how he was given the code throughout his life and i hope this answers how i view the code and how it behaves in the world of code geass. Sorry it took so long for me to get this out. Please R&R.

Endless Extras I - The code

"You know, after all our research into the code this lifetime I think I may have figured out why I have the code," he suddenly commented the news depicted various religions in the area and their changing stance towards the government.

"Why bring this up suddenly?" the witch asked shrugging, "It's not that important anymore."

"Well you know me. I simply want an explanation for everything," he replied simply.

"So it's for your benefit and not mine, you owe me a pizza for listening to your rambles about nothing," his witch stated looking back at the screen. Her warlock chuckled in response as he nodded in agreement.

"As you know the main purpose of the code was to activate the sword of Akasha which would allow the destruction of the god," he begun as his witch started to ignore him, "However the sword of Akasha is derived from the much early concept of the spear of Cassius or better known as the lance of Longinous. The origin of the double names is from Gaius Cassius Longinous which was the name of the person who pierced Jesus Christ. It was the original instrument which was stained by divine blood."

His witch rubbed her eyes in boredom; nonetheless this didn't faze him as he continued his explanation. "However this legend isn't completely true. Gaius Cassius Longinous is in fact two people or brothers, Gaius Longinous and Cassius Longinous. They were the ones who were stained by the blood of Christ and thus a means of fighting the gods was brought into the world."

"You owe me two pizzas," she commented as her warlock chuckled at her comment.

"The sword of Akasha was a double helix requiring two keys in order to activate. In other words it required your code as well as mine. A double safety if you will. When Jesus was crucified, one brother would nail him to the cross while the other pierced his heart, thus humanity became stained."

His Witch looked at him with that all knowing gaze. He could only chuckle lightly and hold up his hands in defeat. "Yes I agree to your terms, as much pizza as you want for a week." Her response was to nod once before turning her attention back to the ceiling. "Humanity as a whole is far weaker than the concept that is God which my father attempted to destroy. However even though we are weaker we are the only ones that are able stand up. That is the fail-safe of the sword."

"Which you destroyed might I add," his witch interrupted, much to his annoyed scowl. "You realise Warlock at the rate you're going, you will be paying back this debt for the rest of your life?" The Warlock could only grin at her simple but obvious question. Time no longer played a part in their lifetimes together. This life had lasted centuries already and they were still very young.

"However the sword cannot be destroyed by god, it can only be cast to others. A fail-safe against the gods must always be in human hands, that was the reward/punishment of staining humanity in divine blood. It was the burden of having to carry the code/key through the many ages and lives" His witch rolled her eyes once as he could only grin in amusement. "Now here is the real question I want to as you my dear witch," he finally stated approaching her on the couch; she cast him an inquisitive glance. "Why out of the population of humanity did the creators grant me, the tyrannical emperor, the hero Zero and brother the code?"

The Witch stared at the ceiling in boredom. In all honesty who really cared about the code? It existed and made her life a living hell, forever having to endure death, forever having to watch the ages as she remained, forever having to listen to him ramble!

"Because you were the only one attached to Geass in the world of C at the time," she responded automatically. She would play his little game for the time being. After all, he currently owed her 2 weeks' worth of pizzas no questions asked, or should she make it 3? Oh decisions, decisions.

"I highly doubt it was that, all I commanded the creators were to continue the flow of time, they could have given it to any person that adored life. I went on to remove it; I violated everything that humanity represented in those months, the gods would not have sanctioned that, which is probably why I only received the code after my demise as a final insult." Her warlock responded as she shrugged again. "Plus my mother was also in that room at the time and so was Suzaku. Suzaku had a Geass cast upon him which is more or less the same thing."

"Then, it was because you were the only viable candidate to inherit the code."

"Possibly however we will never know the requirements of inheriting the code except the person requires a fully developed Geass. Of all the people on the planet at the time, I highly doubt there isn't at least one other person with a developed Geass out there. Also we are not sure these same rules even apply to the creators so I'm going to put that question in the possibilities." She clutched her forehead in annoyance.

"Boy, you are currently at 4 weeks' worth of pizzas, are you certain you want to drag this out anymore?" She asked his warlock. He only smiled mischievously in return before nodding in response. What was with that reaction? Had he figured something out this lifetime?

"I am happy to drag this out for eternity for this simple answer witch," he replied almost lovingly. Almost being the key word. "I hope you will accept payment in another form than pizzas this once." Her ageless golden eyes widened in shock. Her immortal heart skipped multiple beats. However all that didn't faze her in slightest. She could only close her eyes at his humble but simple words.

"******** I was given the code to grant you your wish. That's all there is to it."

He stood there facing her, that mysterious smile playing at his lips. His tone was so different to the conqueror from all those life times ago. "So whatever your thinking in your head as to why I am standing before you, trust me when I say this. I am here for your sake. I am here so this existence isn't as boring. I would like to think of this as more of a reward rather than a punishment that we have to bare."

She shook her head, for what reason she did not know. "You have improved boy, however you still did not sound like my lover in any way. It was far too emotionless."

Her warlock could only sigh in exasperation; however he did not miss the slight curve of her lips, nor the hidden message in her tone. After all, his witch was far to prideful to tell him directly.

So that's the end of that extra. I am thinking of writing a few one shots depicting a few of their lifetimes together either post everything but not sure if i am planning on doing it since it took me so long to write this extras chapter that has seriously been bugging me for a while now. So i will let you know if i do end up posting it. I have also been asked the chronology of alot of my chapters, especially since i released Snippets of three as a oneshot. so with Koa-chan's permission to references, here is how i viewed the timeline.
