Kaoru loved his brother. He knew his brother loved him. He knew that they slept together in nothing but boxers. He also knew that he and his brother were expected to put on a daily show of brotherly love. That they could do. They did brotherly love well, but Kaoru wanted more. He could never tell Hikaru, but he felt it. Something, a desire, for more. A desire for the life they played the show they put on for the host club, to be real. So he snuck up behind his brother who was wandering their library in the magnificent house they lived in. He slipped his arms around his brother's shoulders. Hikaru laughed and hung his hands on his brother's, not turning around. Hikaru leaned back into his brother, and waited for his twin to tell him what was bothering him. "Do you love me?" Kaoru asked.

"Of course." Hikaru laughed.

"The way we love at host club?" Kaoru asked. Hikaru was silent for a long time and Kaoru felt himself get more and more anxious as the seconds ticked by.

"I know the way if love you. I can't speak for the way you love me though." He said at last.

"And if I kissed you right now?" Kaoru asked as he let go of his twin, allowing one hand to rest on his brother's hip while the other turned Hikaru's head sideways so their breaths began to mingle and he felt his heart beat quicken as the space between their lips slowly began to move closer. Hikaru didn't move and just before their lips touched Kaoru stopped. They stood like that for a long time before Hikaru got tired of waiting and closed the little distance left. He turned around and put his hands lightly on Kaoru's cheeks to hold his head in place. Kaoru blushed and shut his eyes, allowing his hands to fall to his twin's hips in a loose hold. When Hikaru finally moved back Kaoru blinked and tightened his hold on his brother.

"So that answers that question." Hikaru laughed.

"Why didn't you say anything?" Kaoru asked.

"I thought you knew." Hikaru shrugged casually. "And if figured when you were ready, you'd initiate."

"Initiate?" Kaoru asked. Hikaru slipped from his brother's hold and resumed his wanderings of the library.

"Sex Kaoru." Hikaru said sounding bored.

"I...ah..." Kaoru blushed. "I'm ready."
