AU. 2nd in the "Prettier" series. This one's kinda good guys :)
Disclaimer: Oh I am but fortune's fool.. Alas, I do not own Pretty Little Liars..
Aria blinked, hard, fighting back tears..
This wasn't Spencer..
This wasn't the beautiful, sweet, loving, girlfriend that Aria knew..
The girl who used to where flats everyday just so Aria would feel taller..
The girl who's eyes held a burning flame that pulled her in..
The girl with the smile that would warm even the coldest hearts..
She was gone..
The woman in front of her now was just the shell of Spencer..
Her beautiful, caring face, now cold as stone..
Her warm, gentle hands, now rough and freezing..
Aria stood there..
Letting this girl kiss her, touch her, own her..
This wasn't like all the times they'd made love before..
The sweet, sensual, beautiful things they've done..
This was just sex..
Aria could see it in Spencer's cold, black eyes, (the same shade of black as the hoodie bunched between Aria's fists) this woman wasn't Spencer..
She was A..
And Aria didn't want to believe it.
She wanted nothing more than for Spencer to smile, and kiss her, like she had all the times before, and whisper 'April fools' in her ear..
But she wasn't smiling and it was November..
Aria stood at the foot of Spencer's bed..
Letting her have her way with her..
It was awkward and slow..
So unlike their first time together.. Somehow they just knew each other then..
Where as most people fumbled, and were cautious, they'd been so perfectly in sync..
So aware of each other..
But now..
It were as if they were loving strangers..
Neither knows what to do..
So Aria's just letting Spencer lead..
She whimpered Spencer's name..
Both tensing at the sound..
As if they'd just realized who they were supposed to be.
"I love you.." Spencer whispered against her skin..
Aria locked her in a tight hug, finally letting the tears escape, and it was quiet..
They stood there, in the Hastings's room holding each other..
Letting each other break..
Re-building trust with people they don't know anymore..
As a song they know all too well begins to play..
