Files on files of millions of different supernaturals within Beacon Hills and close around it. From name to race, race to behaviour and day to day schedule. Lance was starting to feel the sleep loss catching up with him.
Lance looked files up and down. But there was still many more to scan and analyze yet he could not find a single file on Kelly, her father and Mia. It was off yet it also began to run through Lance's mind. Everyone was in the cabinets, why wouldn't they be? His gut began to get an unweary feeling. No files? Why? His mind spun faster. Could it be? Before he could think anything else he found a file that gave him the urge to read it. The file was on … Chris Argent. But this was odd. It had three names on it. The repeated names was Chris Argent, Claire Davis and … Allison Argent? Lance glimpsed at the file and peeked over to Allison who was half asleep as she helped Lance search for the right thing. Allison turned her head and saw Lance looking at her oddly. She gave an awkward smile.
"What?" she asked, a slight giggle releasing from her. Lance shook his head and turned back to the file.
"N-nothing," he said. Allison closed the file she was looking at and made her way over to Lance.
"What is it?" Allison asked.
"It's nothing, really," Lance replied. Allison gave him one odd look and snatched the file from Lance's hand before running off in a playful manner. Lance quickly bolted after her. "No! Allison wait! Don't!"
Lance finally stopped as he watched her stand in the hall of the house, opening the file and slowly reading it. He watched her closely and let out a large sigh. Her playful smile slowly turning into a heart aching and confused frown. She slowly glimpsed over at Lance. Her eyes glistening. Lance could feel her ache and sudden broken feeling inside. He didn't know what to say, what to do. Should he hug her? Tell her it wasn't the end of the world?
"Claire is my mother," Allison said, a slight glitch in her throat as she tried too say the words out loud.
"A-Allison, I'm so sorry," Lance said. Allison said nothing and continued to look at the file. "I'm sure it's no-" Allison quickly turned and wrapped her hands around him for a comforting hug. Lance was slightly taken back. He slowly wrapped his arms around her and rested his chin on top of her head. What else could he do?
Scott, Thomas and Stiles had been sitting outside of Kelly's house for about two hours now. Stiles was passed out in the driver seat of his old jeep. Thomas was snacking away on a bag of chips he had found in the back of Stiles car. Stale and old but Thomas didn't care. At this point, he was bored with the sudden adventure from before. Scott on the other hand had his eyes set upon the house. Two large black SUV's remained outside of the house. Men in suits, wearing black shades and microphones from their ears sat inside. Scott sighed. The more he watched the more he figured there might be nothing to worry about or even find here to help them figure out where Mia was. He gave out a yawn and glimpsed back at Thomas who had suddenly fell fast asleep. Scott slowly got comfortable in his seat. Trying his best not to close his eyes, the drowsiness soon came over him and he fell asleep. About to miss events to follow.
Meanwhile, a few miles from Beacon Hills and Beacon Hills Falls, Claire, Derek, Chris, Tom, Sam, Blake and Isaac were making there way to the barn house in the middle of the woods. Derek led the way using the smell brought from the wind that blew through them. Claire could see the sun was far out in the distance, ready to emerge from the mountains far out in the valley. Their night was coming to an end and Claire knew the longer it took in the night to find Mia, the higher the chance of them finding her dead.
"Are we there yet?" Sam sighed with a firm roll of his eyes. Derek glimpsed down at the group following close behind him.
"The smell is getting stronger but I don't think we are close yet," Derek mumbled. Claire bit her lip. She looked around before seeing a light in the distance.
"What about that?" Claire asked, pointing over to it. They all followed her finger to see the same light. Derek took a whiff of the air.
"I smell something. Burning?" Derek questioned. Isaac stepped forward and took a slight smell.
"I smell Mia!" Isaac yelled before bolting in the direction.
"Isaac!" Derek yelled to him. Blake sighed and ran after Isaac. The others shared a look and followed the two teenage werewolf boys.
Tracing through the bush, unable to completely focus on the surroundings, Claire could feel the ever so unwelcoming presence of something that put her on edge. Suddenly, she heard a high pitch screech that forced her to stop dead in her tracks and look around. Derek stopped and looked back at her to see. He gave her a look as she frantically looked around. The screech got louder and worse. Claire let out a curdling aching scream and threw her hands over her ears and forced her body to collapse to the forrest floor. Derek called out to her but she could only see his lips move. He quickly ran over to her and dropped down next to her, placing his hands on her, trying to get her to speak to him.
Claire glimpsed up and behind Derek, standing by a tree was the same red eyed monster she had seen in the parking lot some time ago. This time, she saw what it was. It was tall, lanky, grey silky skin that had a shine to it from the light of the moon and starting light of the sun. It's face, pale and leathery. It's eyes, large and red. The ears long and pointy, almost looking like knives. Bald and endlessly sad and frightening. It's mouth slowly opened to reveal sharp teeth the size of pocket knives. It's tongue slowly slipped out of it's mouth, long, skinny, purple with a snake like end to it. She watched as it swayed back and fourth, saliva slipping from the creatures mouth and tip of it's tongue. Claire stuttered words to Derek, her eyes focused on what was behind him. Derek gave her a look and turned back to see what she was looking at. His eyes grew as he glared at it, shock and worry began to stir inside him. He slowly stood and glared at it, ready to turn if the monster ran at them. The creatures mouth dropped and the screech blew out, causing Derek to turn and pick up Claire from the ground and run. Claire suddenly fell and dropped to the floor again. Derek quickly glimpsed back to see the creature was gone.
"What the hell was that?!" Derek yelled, out of breath. Claire knew what it was and she was terrified.
"It was a ghoul," Claire said. Derek turned his eyes to her, shocked. Claire looked up and let out a sigh. Ghoul's hadn't been seen in Beacon Hills for years. They were dangerous and every time they were around, things would go wrong and people would die. The only person on their mind was Mia.
A sudden bang awakened Thomas from his sleep. He looked around to see the two black SUV's were gone but a red Mercedes was now in front of the house. Thomas gulped back and quickly moved his attention to the front two seats of the car and quickly shook Scott and Stiles to wake up. Stiles let out a curdling snort as he leaped up in his seat.
"Wh-what's going on?" Scott asked. Thomas pointed out at the new vehicle that was placed outside of the house.
"Come on let's go," Thomas said, ready to jumped out before Scott yanked him back.
"We can't just go in there!" Scott snapped. Thomas pushed his hand off of him.
"You're not my pack leader. I'm going in, sit out here if you guys are too scared," Thomas snapped before jumping out of the car and making his way over to the house. Scott and Stiles sighed.
"Okay, come on," Scott said before climbing out of the vehicle. Stiles went to object but it was too late. He sighed and shook his head before nervously following his friends to the house.
Opening the door, Thomas could smell the unbearable rank smell of blood. Blood that seemed to have been there for ages. His mind quickly gripped onto it. His senses high as his eyes began to get glossy and turn into a wolf's blue eyed colour. His skin darkening ready to burst into black fur, his nose and mouth ready to extend and grow into a snout. He suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned sharply, snapping as his face turned into a wolves. Scott and Stiles quickly jumped back. Stiles, trembling down the small concrete staircase of the front of the house. Scott glimpsed back at his friend before turning back with fear. Thomas quickly sighed and his face morphed back to normal.
"Sorry mates. you can't sneak up on a wolf like that! Especially when they are on high alert!" Thomas snarled.
"Sorry man. We didn't know. What's going on?" Scott asked. Thomas quickly shushed him and proceeded into the house with caution, Scott following close behind as Stiles scrambled to his feet, rushing to catch up with them. Thomas kept his hand up, guarding them off. It wasn't long before Scott caught onto the scent. They moved closer into the house to see the beginning of a pool of blood. They froze.
"You don't think," Stiles paused, glimpsing at the two supernaturals to get no response. He gulped back.
Thomas proceeded first. He checked around the corner into the kitchen where the blood appeared and the stench was over baring. He looked down to see a horrifying scene. Skeleton's lay on the floor, blood pools around them. The blood was so old it was almost dark. Thomas stood there, lifeless, emotionless. Scott and Stiles came around the corner. Stiles quickly gaged and ran to the bathroom. Scott glimpsed back at his friend then over to Thomas.
"Is that Kelly?" Scott asked. Thomas remained quit. Stiles came back to them, rubbing his mouth and panting.
"That can't be Kelly and her father! We just saw Kelly the other day," Stiles said. Thomas gulped back.
"It is Kelly and her father," Thomas paused. Stiles and Scott looked at him. "There's many legends about how vampires die. Some say they turn to ash others say they explode with guts and all. But Eloah told us," he paused again, gulping back as he slightly began to recall the truth behind them. "When a vampire dies, the skin dissolves and the blood consumed and remaining within the body turns into a pool. Their skeletons remain just as they should have when they were supposed to die. Someone murdered them." Stiles glared down, not knowing what to say.
"Who would kill them?" Stiles asked. Scott quickly figured it out.
"Eloah," he said. Thomas and Stiles shot him a look. "There's one thing I got from him. He's all about the image. He can't have a blood thirsty vampire out on the streets. It damages his position and the angel's cause. He made protection to make it seem like they were being protected by the Host. Just so he can try and pin this on the Grimm's. It makes sense."
"You're too smart for your own good McCall," a female's voice began. Scott's eyes began to glow, high alert setting in. A woman soon emerged from the shadows. Middle aged, brown hair and beautiful, piercing dark brown eyes.
"Who are you?" Stiles asked.
"You have not heard of me?" the woman asked. her British accent, thick. The three boys remained silent. "I am the light you see on the day's life seems difficult. I am the image of peace and immunity. I am the wife to Gavel Aldwin and daughter in law to Xapham Aldwin. My angelic name is Dina Aldwin and my daughter is Parisa Aldwin, a woman you see fit to justify and deconstruct from her future." Stiles shot a look.
"What the hell is she talking about?" Stiles whispered to Scott. Scott rolled his eyes and Thomas glared at her, incredibly confused.
"Claire Davis," she said, slightly annoyed. "My daughter."
"Y-you're Claire's mother?" Thomas asked. Dina looked at him.
"Yes that is correct," she said.
"Well why didn't you just say so?" Stiles asked, letting out a playful laugh. She just stared at him.
"I feel no need to limit myself to the unkindly of kinds," she said. Thomas shook his head.
"What are you saying?" Thomas asked, more confused then before. The woman rolled her eyes and shook her head.
"I am Claire's mother. You can call me Joanna," she said.
"Okay, Joanna, why are you here?" Thomas asked.
"The werewolf is correct, this was Eloah's doing. I had a dream of it and I rushed here but I was too late. Kelly and her father did not deserve this fate. If Claire is not careful, she too will see much greater deaths to the people around her. Eloah has a plan and I fear what he is ready to put in place," she stated with a sigh as she glared down at the skeletons.
"Do you know where Mia is?" Scott asked. She looked up, sadly.
"I can not pin point her location. But I see darkness, pain, agonizing pain and suffering. Where ever she is, her life is slowly ready to close," she stated. The three boys went quiet. "Mia is no normal wolf. She is a leader and she needs to stay alive. Her time is close to over and she must return before her pack members rebel."
"What do you mean?" Stiles asked.
"Mia is a pack leader. Her pack is searching for her. Her real pack," Joanna stated. Scott and Stiles remained confused. As a wolf, Thomas slowly started to understand. Joanna looked at him, reminding him of what he needs to do.
"She's my leader. Part of my pack," Thomas mumbled. Scott and Stiles turned and looked at him.
"Go," Joanna said. Thomas bit his lip before rushing out of the house. Scott and Stiles shared a look before rushing out after him.
Isaac rushed through the woods, Blake close by. The group now split up, Blake got a bad feeling. In the distance, he saw Isaac pick up speed, Blake quickly leaped from the ground and crashed down, his werewolf form appearing. He rushed close by until he finally caught up with Isaac who stood lifeless in front of an oddly secluded and unfinished house. The two boys stopped and stared at the haunted feeling the house brought to them.
"I can smell Mia," Isaac said. Blake gulped back feeling a chill run down his spine.
"That's not the only thing I can smell," he paused and observed the building. "I can smell the death. The screams, the blood. This is where the Grimm's have taken their victims." Isaac gulped back, feeling his dry and aching throat. "Let's go."
The two soon began to head up to the front entrance. Noticing the large wooden board placed across it, Blake quickly gripped it and ripped it off. He threw the beam to the side before pushing the door open and stepping inside. Plastic and wood staining the surroundings. Isaac followed Blake closely to where the smell was strong. They turned to find a metal door on the side, Blake tried the knob but it was locked. Isaac rolled his eyes and let out a sigh. Blake grunted and turned to grab a shovel that lay on the side. He raised it up and slammed it down on the knob, knocking it down to the ground. The two opened the door to find Mia, naked and surrounded by blood and vomit in the middle of a paved room, the garage of the house. The two rushed to her.
"Mia?!" Isaac called, trying to shake her awake. She remained still.
"I can still hear her heart beat. She's alive," Blake stated.
"Well this is a treat," Barlow's voice said from the door. The two sharply turned. Blake's eyes began to glow blue as he sharply turned. Isaac watched as his nails grew and hair began to grow on his body.
"You son of a bitch," Blake mumbled. Barlow grew a grin. He began to step down closer to them.
"Oh I've been waiting for you guys. I was hoping for Claire but you two should do. Once she gets word of all your disappearances, she will come running. Then Eloah will be at my mercy," he said, his grin growing into a joker smile.
"The only things that's gonna happen is your head ripped from your body and thrown across the room," Blake said before leaping at Barlow.
Barlow quickly dodged the attack, bringing out a traditional staff passed down from the Grimm family. He took it and slammed Blake in the side, causing him to fly across the room and smash into one of the walls. Barlow chuckled and turned his attention to Isaac and Mia. Isaac went to stand in and attack before Blake leaped over and took Barlow to the ground. The struggled continued, back and fourth as the battle seemed to never end. Isaac quickly grabbed Mia off the floor and rushed out of the building. Blake sharply turned to Barlow and leaped again before Barlow let out a warrior cry and stabbed Blake in the gut, causing his werewolf form to disappear and his body to fall to the ground, surrounded by the blood and vomit. Feeling his body go numb as the blood emerged from his wound, Barlow made his way over and leaned over him, taking his staff and digging it into Blake's wound. The sound of Blake's echoing cry of agony rang through the unfinished building.
"You really think you could have beat me? A Grimm? We will always win," Barlow whispered to him.
He took up his staff, ready to slam it down on Blake's skull. Blake suddenly felt the flash of his ending life. His life of the past and his never ending dream of freedom from who he was. Before he could think of his peace, the sound of two bullet's flew off in his mind. Blake opened his eyes to see blood dripping from Barlow's mouth before he crashed down beside him. Blake looked over to see Sam, Chris and Tom. Sam's hand firmly around the gun. Blake let out a sigh of relief before crashing to the ground again, feeling his vision getting blurry. The three men rushed to his aid, shoving Barlow's body further away. Tom kept his eyes on Barlow.
"Jesus, look at his wound," Chris said, holding up Blake's shirt.
"My sister can't help us now," Sam mumbled. Chris gave him a look. Sam quickly shook it off. "We need to treat him. We have to bring him to my father, he will know what to do."
"It's just a knife wound?" Chris stated.
"No it isn't. It's the Grimm's werewolf knife. Made from pure silver and marked with the weeds of wolfsbane. If we want him to live, he needs God's light," Sam stated before picking Blake up. Tom quickly leaned down and picked up Barlow's body and threw it over his shoulders before they rushed out.
