AN: Hey so I am really sorry that this has taken me so long to upload. I haven't been on here in forever. I did want to update though and not leave the story in such an awkward place. Chapter 3: Prove Yourself

"What an idiot, that Niko." Senza complained. "Always making a fool of himself.

The other pirates laughed.

"I think it's impressive!" Aryll beamed as she looked at the pirates.

"Niko fought a gyorg AND a big octo! A big octo with twenty eyes!"

The pirates continued to laugh.

"You don't really think that Niko did all that, do ya kid?" Zuko eyed Aryll with a suspicious look in his eye.

Aryll put her hands on her hips. "Of course I do! Mr. Niko is the greatest! He taught my brother how to fight!"

"BAHAHAHAHA" laughed the pirate gang.

"Hey! What's so funny?" Aryll asked the pirates, looking upset.

"Hey, it's nothin' personal kid. It's just that Niko's a pansy. He couldn't fight a gyorg to save his life! A big octo would eat him in about ten seconds!" Mako laughed, picturing the tiny Niko taking on a big octo.

"Ten seconds? Now come on Zuko, you know that isn't true." Senza replied. "I bet Niko couldn't even last five!"

The other pirates cried with laughter.

"Five?! That's being a little generous don't cha think? Niko wouldn't even last two!" Gonzo retorted.

At this, the rest of the pirates chimed in saying how long they thought Niko would last against a big octo.

To their surprise, a loud cough interrupted their banter. They all looked around to see a fuming Niko.

"So you guys don't think I'm telling you the truth, now do ya?" Niko began to chuckle, his face still red from anger. "Well I'll show you! I'll prove it!"

"How are you going to do that?" asked Zuko, "Are ya going to try and fight Gonzo?"

The pirates continued to laugh at the short pirate.

"What? No! I'm not going to fight Gonzo! He's too weak!"

"What did you say, chump?" Gonzo asked, looking down at Niko.

Niko shook his head. "No, no, no! I'm going to fight a big octo!"

"Your funeral..." Nudge mumbled.

"You're not really going to do that are you Mr. Niko?" Aryll looked terrified as she stared intensely into Niko's eyes.

"Of course I'm going to do it! I'm going to show these clowns what a real pirate looks like!" Niko put his hands on his hips, looking determined.

Mako adjusted his glasses and began to smirk. "You talk big, but you won't actually do it. You don't have to. There is no such thing as a twenty-eyed octo!"

"Actually, I've heard some rumors about one..." Senza murmured.

"Well that's great then! Let's head of, shall we?" Niko looked at his fellow crew mates and waved his right hand. "Now where are we heading to?" he asked looking puzzled.

"Moron. You're going to get killed." Zuko mumbled, shaking his head.

"I've heard of an octo with twenty eyes being seen in between the Triangle Isles." Senza stated.

"Off to the Triangle Isles then!" Niko pointed his index finger towards the sea.

Everyone looked at Gonzo. Ever since their captain, Miss Tetra had gone along with Link, Aryll's older brother, he was in charge.

Gonzo looked at the crew and gave a nod. "Aye. Everyone, follow Niko's lead!"

"Aye!" responded the crew.

The pirates went to their positions and began the course to that tower island thing, as Niko stated.

"This should be fun." Mako whispered to Senza who was hiding his laughter.

Nudge walked over to the wheel, where Gonzo was taking the lead.

"What is Miss Tetra going to think of this? What are we going to tell her when she comes back? She'll be furious..." Nudge looked off into the distance.

"We'll just tell her the truth." Gonzo murmured, "That Niko was killed by an octo."
